But it is totally fair to look at these polls and think for a second  -- maybe the issue at the problem is that Trump is botching responses to different issues (Corona, protesting, etc) So it's understandable to think that this is a pretty interesting time for the administration.

They're looking at bad poll numbers (worse then usual, as Biden is leading by another 5 percent then before this crisis started -- which was within the MOE) a struggling economy with high unemployment, a pandemic with about 100k Americans dead and resurging numbers in certain areas (Florida, Texas, etc), and so on and so forth.

His age might be his downfall but on the flip side Trump is older than Biden. Of the two Trump seems to entertain the audiences in his rallies more so than Biden does. How much will age play a part in this process which would affect public perception when it comes to voting?

Not sure on if we're able to blame the WHO though, their task is to distibute information from health experts of the many different countries in the world. They don't really have the resources to go into a country and independently verify all of the information that is out there.

I'm not convinced that things would've played out much differently if China had been completely transparent (something nobody would ever expect them to do).

The whole world knew that in Jan China locked everyone down, started frantically building hospitals and shooting stray dogs.  

In Feb and March we watched it spread through Europe, not too concerned.

And then April comes and you know the rest.

Is there really anything China could've told us in Dec/Jan  that would've had a bigger impact than watching a bunch of other countries go through it in real time over a 3 month period?

They would've had to of been very confident that it would hit us a few months later.  AND We would've had to convince us to self inflict economic damage.  So many things would need to go right.

There are a few in congress who have stood up to him (and were ridiculed and attacked pretty relentlessly for it), and many others who seem to be awfully quiet.

Also a couple GOP super pacs that have endorsed Biden.  The Lincoln Project has some pretty good ads (Kellyanne Conways husband is a founding member). Check out The MAGA Church, produced by lifelong Republicans.

Trump has pretty radically changed the Republican platform and party from where it was even at the beginning of the 2016 election cycle. He was able to get a lot of independents and moderate Democrats to vote for him, but wasn’t able to get a lot of people to join the party.

Trump has mastered countering much of the traditional attacks via the media, however the media and other democrats have adopted and changed their attacks (the riots, and the Russia hoax), and he was unaware they were even dirty attacks until they were well underway.

BLM wants Communism, they say so on their website without as many words. They are being enabled by Democrat mayors and governors, with the intention of making Trump look bad. If Trump is off the ticket, BLM would still work towards Communism, however Democrat mayors and governors would stop putting up with the riots in most of the country, and places like Portland would come under immense political pressure to put a stop to the lawlessness.
