Aston Villa failed to take advantage of the opportunity and lost 1–0 at home to Everton.
I thought Aston Villa would win tonight because a victory would have taken them up to second place and reduced the points gap with Arsenal.

Injuries really drained Villa's quality. I aware how they can't chase the goal caused by that. Emery being clueless what to do since his club has no good depth. Remember they were down so hard in term of attacking depth compared to the last season when they have Bailey, Rashford, Ascensio. This is also the problem that killed them in this game.

So the lost seem fair considering how garbage their team is now. They should make big signing to increase the depth, but doubting they will do it.

The fact that Arsenal failed to win yet again is a shame, City is giving an out to Arsenal for two weeks and Arsenal has failed both times. If they won both games that would have been four more points ahead of City and right now we would be talking about realistically the first championship of Arsenal in many years.

However, seeing games like these makes me question if Arsenal could even win, because if you fail to defeat Nottingham Forrest, then anything could happen to you and may lose your chance. Still they are ahead by seven points, so they have a great chance.

Unfortunately this is one of those situation where you see that Arsenal can't handle the pressure. They were supposed to win, they had to, and yet they didn't. This means the team is still looking for the winning mentality. If we switch places and let's say City 1st and Arsenal 2nd, I'm sure City would have won this type of game. I keep hoping Arsenal can make it but they really can't waste this type of situations anymore.

Unfortunately this is one of those situation where you see that Arsenal can't handle the pressure. They were supposed to win, they had to, and yet they didn't. This means the team is still looking for the winning mentality. If we switch places and let's say City 1st and Arsenal 2nd, I'm sure City would have won this type of game. This season is like a reserved one for Arsenal as when they lost points, their title contenders lost points too. With very good defense strength by conceding only 14 goals after 22 matches, Arsenal will be able to minimize number of defeats in remaining matches and their task will be winning as many matches as possible. With 7-point difference against two clubs behind, Manchester City and Aston Villa, Arsenal have good advantage to lift a trophy in Premier League 2025 - 2026 season.

Both Manchester City and Aston Villa have failed to take advantage of bad results from Arsenal to reduce point difference and make a title competition more exciting so far. If they continue like this, they will fail against Arsenal in the title race this season and Arsenal won't need to have kind of strong domination to lift a trophy.

Manchester City had a pretty experimental defense line against Manchester United, due to lots of injured and missing players.
The unstable defense line prevented City from having effective control over the ball and dominating the game. Jeremy Doku and Antoine Semenyo were pretty much neutralized, so Haaland didn't get any balls and was pretty much useless as well. City's midfielders were outclassed by Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo, which is weird. Donnarumma was the hero of the day for City, because he prevented United from scoring more goals. I don't believe that this is the beginning of a new era for Manchester United. They will most likely face problems against the mediocre teams in the Premier League.

Aston Villa lost against everton. It is really sad. Aston villa lost at home. I lost my bet on this match. It was a completely  unexpected result.

Aston villa players tried  to score. But they  could not score any goals. If watkins, who is standing in the center of the attack , could have played a little better, maybe villa would not have lost this match. Watkins' performance was very poor in this match. He was on the field for  90 minutes, but he was only able to take 1  shot.

If they had won this match, Villa would have been in second place in the table. And their point gap with arsenal would have also decreased. But Villa missed the opportunity.

Newcastle drew 0–0 with bottom of the table Wolverhampton. I really don’t understand how they couldn’t beat this team.

Aston Villa did not play well throughout the match, because the best team won at the end. Aston Villa performance only became serious after they conceded the goal early in the second half. I expect Aston Villa to improve after Everton first half goal was disallowed in the first half, but I was wrong, they were not ready to improve their performance and seize the opportunity that would take them to second place.

On the other hand, I wasn’t surprised that Newcastle was unable to beat Wolves that will not escape the relegation zone this season. Newcastle performance has been very poor playing away from home, I only have confidence in their game when they play at home, if I’m not mistaken, the last time they won away game was against Burnley in the Premier League, they look very poor away, so I wasn’t surprised with the draw.

Well, it's absolutely surprisingly to see that Aston villa lost to Everton in their football encounter yesterday, i didn't have the opportunity of watching the match but I remember I placed a small bet on Aston Villa to win that match as I believed they have what it takes, but unfortunately, how wrong I was or maybe it's just this match that decided to flop..

Looking at the table now, it seems like all the top clubs are either losing points or sharing points with the clubs in the lower end of the table, how did things shift so quickly?
Arsenal have drawn two games consecutively, Manchester city which are one of the strongest contenders against Arsenal for the title; in the last 5 games have only won one game, drew three games and lost one game, Aston Villa in the last five matches have won two games, drew two games and lost one... This clubs need to sit up including and especially Arsenal.

Manchester United is a strange team. When many people expected them to lose, they performed very well. For example, when they faced Manchester City.
It must be admitted that Manchester United's performance when they beat Manchester City was very good. They seemed to have come back to life, making many people smile happily, starting with Sir Alex Ferguson.
If this continues while Carrick is the coach, the Premier League competition will be even more exciting.

In fact, Round 22 of the Premier League was full of surprises. We at Arsenal could benefit even though we only drew, as Manchester City lost, Liverpool drew, and Aston Villa lost.

I really don't think this game has to do win mentality or want not. Arsenal were not at there best in this game, but they still came out with a draw. This are the kind of match that Arsenal lost last season, and they came out with a draw, which in my opinion is not a bad result. Arsenal lost this fixture last season and the same result the season before last. I am not in any way doubting Arsenal this season, I am very confident they will win the league this season.
Firstly Manchester City is not the same team we all knew about 2 seasons ago, so I still expect them to drop more points and Arsenal will take advantage. Let's not forget that the points gap was merely 2 points in December and now it's 7 points gaps, that's progress in my opinion and it only showed that Arsenal is the most consistent team in the league right now. I think people should be talking about Manchester City losing to Manchester United, rather than focusing on Arsenal draw to Nottingham Forest.

Last week was really strange, the top 3 teams failed to get full points, it was truly a big surprise in my opinion.

Maybe you forget to read or analyze the game before betting or let me say you already bet the game before Arsenal played their game. See I have a way of studying premier league and few other league and sometimes it actually works for me, the moment I saw Manchester city loss against Manchester united immediately I observed that since Manchester city loss the game that would have helped them close the gap between them and Arsenal that means arsenal would not be able to win and yesterday also I told my friend that Aston villa can not be able to defeat Everton but he thought I was joking I didn't play Everton because I didn't have spare.
