Arsenal collapsed at home, losing 3–2 to Manchester United and dropping a very important three points. Their closest rivals won their matches and reduced the points gap with Arsenal to four.

Aston Villa earned a very important away win. They beat Newcastle United 2–0.
Seeing Arsenal drop points tonight must have motivated them even more.

Yeah, very unfortunate for Arsenal, I really hoped or believed that Arsenal will manage to beat Manchester united after they scored the first goal, but not quite long after, Manchester united also scored an own goal which I believe destabilized the team, it was a mistake and I believe that one mistake is what discouraged their Arsenal players, though they managed to score their second goal but Manchester united at that point were too powerful to overcome.

It's really a mess of a match for Arsenal because if they lose one more game right now, and their closest rival win their games again like they did today, I will be one point left before arsenal comes crashing to the third place while Manchester city and Aston villa will take over the first and second position in the league table, Arsenal really need to sit up.

Yes ooo, Arsenal really need to sit up because it's no longer getting any way funnier . Because the league is becoming tougher and tougher every week. So its not something they should folding their hands for. From seven points adrift to Four points.  This will only be confirming that they are likely back at their delusional state. Delusionist FC !!

  It will be very very painful for Mikel Arteta and the gunners if after all their hardworking, consistency and drive they  still could not produce any trophy for the team. It will surely be a pity and a confirmation that the club is under a spell just like what people have been saying for several seasons.

Its right time Manchester united prove there superiority in the premier league this season after an inconsistent performance at the beginning of the season, for so long Manchester united have been faced with consistency issues all because of team mismanagement and wrong approach to games by the sacked coaches but now they have found Alex Ferguson's replacement which is Michael Carrick. In there last game against Manchester city when all where expecting a humiliating results in the side of united but they where able to prove world wrong by winning Manchester in an unexpected manner which they will do same against arsenal in there next game and that of Arsenal will be worst than that of city.

I think it's too early to rush into saying that Michael Carrick is sir Alex Ferguson's replacement because he has only displayed against Manchester city at old Trafford. The victory seems very resounding but then we should not forget that The team also had a home advantage even though it was a derby. Manchester city was completely outplayed and defeated too.

However Arsenal is a more consistent side with a long streak of consistency. Arsenal has beaten almost all the leading teams in the Europes top leagues. I strongly know the game won't be as easy for Manchester United as fans are hoping. Arsenal could spoil the mood and score more goals. Carrick is a promising coach but I am going to judge after Arsenal game. For now, he's just a glorified Ruben Amorim.

Following today's victory against almighty Arsenal , I am fully convinced that Carrick is right man for Man U job. He has proven to be the Alex Ferguson that Man U have been trying to find a perfect replacement for. You needed to see the way Man U was playing today. In fact they humiliated Arsenal to the point that  Arsenal started playing defensive game.
  Carrick was really really wonderful today. I feel the Old Man U every team dreaded is fully back to her feet. From now on any team that is playing against Man U will be slightly tensioned.
 Although I heard he is currently serving as Interim Boss. I just hope if the board management fully gives him the Job , he won't relent in the team's impressive form. Because the likes of Ole Solksjear started impressively but didn't end well at Old Trafford.

The unimaginable is happening now in the Premier League Competition. Arsenal fans are still making noise because they are still at the top, but when they will take the position of the Current Manchester United position I. The table they will know that football game is not for those who don't understand it but for those teams understand it. I didn't watch the match today and I saw the scoreline on one of my friends status on WhatsApp and I came to check and discovered that they won with 3-2. Recent games of Manchester United performance is not bad.

Manchester United win against Manchester City came as a surprise if you noticed before the Arsenal and Manchester United game the book markers favored Arsenal to win because of their form but they gave Manchester United a very high odd despite their win over Manchester City so most people would still believe that it will go well for Arsenal because of their target of winning the league but Manchester United shocked their fans again by beating Arsenal to continue their winning sleak. The management of United will be happy for bringing Carrick into the team because if Amorim was still the coach there is no way United would have gotten 6 points for City and Arsenal.

With this lost for Arsenal now title race is still wide open, 4 points difference brings Manchester City and Aston Villa back into chase now how things will work for Gunners, it's going to be more interesting because they are losing their momentum.

The thing now with Arsenal losing the game is they will be losing confidence in themselves under the pressure that what has happened to them in the past two seasons is about to happen again, and that can make winning games going forward more difficult. I feel the Arsenal coach has to detach himself from favoring some certain players because they've been in the club for a longer time than some other players come up players like Martin Odegaard who was very poor in the game against Manchester United and even Gabriel Jesus. Eberechi Eze should have been given a chance.

It is going to be a tougher season going forward.

  Although , what I saw from the game was that Arteta's plan was to rest some players probably for their Champions league match. But as the game wasn't going his way, he was forced to sub in some of his reserved players.
 All four subs at once. Frustration really hit Arteta the hardest today. Man U did him dirty. His decisive tactics couldn't break through the united minds. Carrick outsmarted him  by reading the game so well. He knew when to make the right changes and boom the resulted manifested.

 Cuhna's late power bolt was enough to drench Arsenal players of the remaining hope they had for a comeback. That goal really broke their heart.

 Arsenal really need to fix their passing accuracy. Their inaccurate passes led to most of the goals they conceded against Man U. They should level up if they are really still serious about winning the league this season.
 Otherwise, I fear for them. Because many teams are after the league as we speak.

Here we go again I have actually been waiting for a fan that will cry out for the contract to be given to Micheal Carrick because he won against Manchester city and Arsenal and deserves the contract I wasn’t expecting less but for your information this is not the first time that Manchester United is actually having a new manager with this impressive record, as far as I can remember almost all Manchester United new manager since Alex Ferguson had actually had such a bright start. The one I can remember very well is the Ole gunner Solkjaer first games which he actually won and even overturned a champions league round of 16 game against PSG and what did everyone said he should be given new contract straight up and we all knew how it ended.

I am not against Carrick and I can say that he has been truly on the right path and most importantly looks to have had more confidence to the team because today of it were in other days Arsenal Would have over turn this game once they got the equalizer but the way the Manchester United team approached the game it was what brought upon that Cunha goal, but let’s get over the moon and say that he is actually the replacement needed since Ferguson actually retired

A team in the title race shouldn't do it. By the way the referee is horrible. Dorgu's goal should be cancelled due to handball. Another handball wasn't given a few minutes ago! Arsenal are playing against the referee too now clearly.

Unfortunately, this also happened in the Manchester City vs. Wolves game where the Wolves player deflected the ball using his hand, and the referee, instead of awarding a penalty, simply ignored it and let the game continue. It seems to me that the quality of referees in the Premier League is gradually declining significantly. In that Arsenal game, it was clear that Arsenal would have won if the referees had done their job honestly and with good quality.

Well, what you said about Ole solkjaer and the rest of the managers is true. We know how they fared .  We really can't argue that their highly rated performance didn't LST for so long. The joyous  praise the fans showered on them were soon converted to rain of abuses following consecutive poor run of forms.

  Nevertheless,  I do think Carrick would be different from those other managers you mentioned( this is not to say he will not loose one day, definitely he'll) .  I say this because from what i noticed from the two games is that Man U is playing very different now. They are approaching their opponent's with so much confidence.  I see all that confidence that Alex Ferguson invested in the then Man U team. Carrick has that Alex Ferguson's flair and passion to face and  win top games.

 In my own opinion, I think it would be unfair if they don't give him the job. They should just give him for the benefit of doubt.

   But one thing is sure , whether they give him or not. Everyday will not be Man U's or Carrick's day. He will definitely lose some games. This is premier league of ciurse. And in the game of football, you can't continue winning every game.

 In all these, one thing i would say is that No manager is perfect. If am lying ask Luis Enrique and Pep guardiola , they would tell you what they suffered in the hands of Chelsea.

At first it was 7pt gap between them and City but now they have 4pt and before you know it they're level on point and the pressure will be high on Arsenal, so how are they going to win the EPL title knowing fully well that Manchester City are breathing behind their neck? This is the last time for Arteta to get things right but if he fails, I think he's leaving the club as the manager.

Four points is still a very significant advantage for winning the title. And the most important thing isn't that Arsenal has more points, but that they're playing better. Even if you compare games, Arsenal put up a more serious fight against United than City.
United's next game is against Fulham, and at home. I hope they can continue their winning streak. It would be strange if, after beating the two leaders, they drop points in a game against an underdog.

Manchester United are not aiming at the league title that is why the whole battle wasn't that stressful but for Arsenal they were desperate to get an early goal and maybe end it that way, that's the plan and if they come against a weaker side in their next game they see it as an opportunity to flex their muscles, talking about Arsenal. The Gunners against Manchester United weren't sure of what next to do and is like they are scared of taking the outside shots, like make Manchester United defenders to always use their body as a shield to defend the ball then try something tricky, no the Gunners didn't do that. Take a good look at the shots UTD had, it was perfect, they were direct, they were clinical and is like they planned on not wasting any chances, two big games they won and if you ask me about their next game I'd say they're going to either lose or draw because the confidence will be too much and they might even underestimate Fulham.

It was a very controversial foul to give given that, Maguire was already falling and had his hands out to reduce the impact he would have got while hitting the ground before he touched the ball. The referee made his call and not much was said or taken from it. It was entirely up to the referee and I don’t think anyone would have argued if he chose to award the Arsenal the penalty.

It was an interesting and an important game, Manchester United with over 5.6 odds to win defied all that and won the match. Cunha with the winning goal and after that, he was all about tricks, failing at any given chance to kill time. Manchester United didn’t get to pressure Arsenal very much but, they got the touches and executions that mattered.

When the season began I knew Manchester United had the best squad to do a good job for them, but lack of a good coach affected them. So the decision they made to sacked Ruben Amorim was the right one. Look at Manchester United recent form under Michael Carrick  they played brilliantly against Manchester City and Arsenal. Carrick has faced the two biggest fears he has this season and has been able to come up with a good result but we al know consistent result is what their fans glamour for and we can't ascertain yet if Carrick can keep up with the pace until all our doubts are cleared but in the main time we keep clapping for all their progress until we have no more doubts in our minds anymore. Nice improvement from the United team and we hope that form continues.

The season is becoming interesting thanks to Arsenal failure during these three rounds. They unfortunately lost 7 points from 9 so we are talking about 4 points gap instead of 11.
I blame a lot gunners for reducing their chances to win the title early this season. They were able to achieve that but they are missing it every round.
I agree that Manchester City and Aston Villa are doing fine until now. They are close to Arsenal and can overtake the first place soon if Arsenal continues like that.
I am impressed also by Manchester United how they jumped to the 4th place, stepping in front of Liverpool and Chelsea which aren't that successful so far.

That's another thing to also consider too, Manchester United are this and that, too weak but nobody including myself would have imagined them to be in the position they are now, 4th for that matter and a lot could happen before they are done with the 15 remaining games for the season. And another thing, let's make excuses for the Gunners, if UTD were engaged in any of these competitions Manchester City and Arsenal are in now I don't think they would have gotten this far, they only have the EPL games to worry about while the others have almost all 4 competition that they are busy with so tell me why Man UTD shouldn't do better? That's the truth and we know how terrible the Red Devils are when they play in multiple competitions, is still not enough to cover for this lost game, Arsenal need to start acting like champions if they want to be the champions.

The effect of a new manager is nothing to Manchester united, I remember vividly when Ten Hag was sacked and Reuben Amorim came in as the Manchester united coach, they won  up to four or five matches in a row and everyone was celebrating and shouting that finally, Manchester united is back, I was of the opinion back then to that we should give the new man time to prove that indeed, he's the right coach for man united but no one listened or agreed, and not long, things shifted and went back to normal for united, they started losing games again like they were doing with Ten Hag.

So be honest, I am not yet surprised that Manchester united have managed to beat Manchester city and Arsenal and have made their way into the top 4 which qualifies them for the champions league, but let's wait for out come of there or four more games before we begin we decide or not whether Carrick is truly the coach man united have been waiting for.

I already knew that Manchester United is back on there feet considering the way they won Manchester city and now arsenal. This is really a great improvement. From the look of things right I think Manchester United made the right decision by sacking armorim, they knew that with his stay Manchester United will never improve but get worser . Carrick will definitely do great job in Manchester United before this season end and also next season.

Manchester United win against Manchester City came as a surprise if you noticed before the Arsenal and Manchester United game the book markers favored Arsenal to win because of their form but they gave Manchester United a very high odd despite their win over Manchester City so most people would still believe that it will go well for Arsenal because of their target of winning the league but Manchester United shocked their fans again by beating Arsenal to continue their winning sleak. The management of United will be happy for bringing Carrick into the team because if Amorim was still the coach there is no way United would have gotten 6 points for City and Arsenal.

Manchester united are in a good form, even though i expected arsenal to win it is not really a surprise that united were able to win. Arsenal are beginning to slow down and Manchester united on the other hand are gradually getting better. if it wasn't for the own goal that was scored I'm not sure arsenal would have been able to score up tp two goals in that game.
