The favorite team in the remaining qualifiers in the conference league is Aston Villa, but there are other teams that can be shown as favorites. Fiorentina and Fenerbahçe may have opportunities from these teams. What a turnaround Olympiacos made. I guess everyone except the team thought they were eliminated, but Olympiacos was the side that eliminated.

Olympiacos is a great success, maybe they can continue it in the remaining qualifiers of the cup, why not, they did what seemed impossible once.

But in general I agree that Aston Villa is the team with the highest chances even though as I said I don't see them ahead of anyone else by a lot.

Looking at the teams that are going to play in the quarter finals and semi finals UEFA Conference League this season, I think it's very difficult to predict which team that has the edge over the other seven teams but considering how good and impressive Aston Villa have been in the competition since the start of the season, I think they stand a very good chance of bringing the trophy home. Italian Serie A club Fiorentina is also another strong team in the competition that should be considered as one of the favorite teams because how impressive they've been in the competition since the start of the season.
Apart from Aston Villa and Fiorentina, the other team that's still in the knockout stages of the UEFA Conference League competition that should be considered a strong team is Turkish club Fenerbahce. In my opinion, I think one of these teams will surely end up as the winners of the competition

Aston Villa vs Ajax is like an early conference league final this season,

Maybe it could have been one of the finales but still I wouldn't put this finale to the top though. Because Ajax aren't the same team we know this season. They haven't been as strong as they were in Erik ten Hag era. 

I'm more than impressed with Aston Villa you know, they was just dealt with during the weekend ganes by Tottenham Hotspur as they lost four goals to nothing.
I won't lie I love the mentality of these players and most importantly the head coach for what he has impacted into these lads. Four goals tonight against a big European side shows how good they have been. They could still go on to win the league same way you must have predicted.

It was a great performance that's for sure.    4-0 was a really heavy score considering what happened in the first leg. Aston Villa simply showed the quality gap between them this season by a big win.


Considering the teams remaining I think the biggest challengers for the title are Aston Villa, Fenerbahçe and Fiorentina. We will probably see an Aston Villa - Fenerbahçe matchup in the semi finals which would be one of the early finales.

Yes you are right PAOK did score five goals, and I thought it was six, but still the score is 5:3 in favor of PAOK.
It's good that they canceled the away goal rule, now the game has become more interesting, and before if a team scored 2-3 away goals and did not concede, you could consider that with 80-90% probability the team will go to the next stage.

Of the eight remaining teams, Aston Villa is the team with the greatest chance of winning this competition. I'm not a fan of Aston Villa. But if you look at how they compete in the top four of the EPL, this team will try to give their best game in order to maintain their chances of advancing to the final and becoming champions at the end of the competition. Fiorentina is also considered the favorite team, but based on their performance, Aston Villa really deserves to win this trophy.

The conference league has now entered the quarterfinals and of course the teams competing in the quarterfinals are good teams and of course there is nothing we should underestimate, this season we have lost Ajax who is one of the championship candidates in my opinion and now we have seen how fierce competition occurs in the conference league to be the best at the end of the season,  so far,  I personally have some names that might be ideal to win the Conference League such as Aston Villa, Fiorentina and Fenerbache.

But among the teams that are currently in the quarter-finals of course Aston Villa has a great chance to reach the final round, so far Aston Villa is still the most consistent team in every game and I think with the experience capital possessed by Unai Emery of course Aston Villa's chances of winning the championship are wide open this season,  In addition, Aston Villa's performance so far has been very good both in the league and Europa League and it seems difficult for Lille to beat them both in the first leg and the second leg later, I personally predict if Aston Villa will meet one of the teams from Fiorentina or Fenerbache in the final round later.

Yes for sure there is some advantage for Aston Villa at first glance, but if it would only be so easy to predict title winners, I think we would be reading about more people confidently placing their bets in advance. But that is not the case. If you go through the winners of the last few years, I think everyone of us has been wrong than right with their guesses as to who is going to make it.

For instance, everyone was praising Leverkusen, and rightfully so! Rightfully! I said all the time that they are my biggest favorite for so many reasons next to Liverpool of course. But what if they did get eliminated now against Qarabaq? Did anyone place a bet here against Leverkusen? If yes, feel free to share the slip because I doubt that anyone has done that as it made literally zero sense unless someone clearly states that they were in for a huge gamble on the massive odds.

I think more than PAOK, it was Olympiacos conceding 4 goals in the first game but then scoring six at return stayed in peoples minds, could be the reason for confusion, both Greek teams, both made a big comeback with a lot of goals. 4-1 loss and then come back and 6-1 win is a lot, it's really not something you see that often.

Normally a team that loses 4-1, do not have the power to win 6-1, because if they were capable of beating a team 6-1, then why would they lose 4-1, or if they are bad enough to lose 4-1, how could they be good enough to comeback and score six. This is why it's rare, it very unique situation and we do not see it too often. Both Greek teams did as well as they could, and we have two of them at the quarter finals now at least.

It was a very good match for Fenerbahçe, I don't think Olympiacos will be a tough opponent for Fenerbahçe. I think Fenerbahçe will advance to the semi-finals. The semi-final opponent will most likely be Aston Villa and this is where the difficulty begins for Fenerbahçe.

Olympiacos should not be underestimated in my opinion. I know Fenerbahce is a good team but it has its bad and week moments that could cost them the qualification.
For Olympiacos, they did an awesome comeback in the second leg while they were 4 goals down with 3 goals difference. Scoring 6 goals this round was one of the best comebacks this season along with PAOK against Dinamo Zagreb. Zagreb was supposed to maintain their two goals advantage but surprise! They received 5 goals this time!
That's to say that UEFA Conference League games are quite unexpected and even the most obvious results could be totally the opposite in the second leg..

Of course, of the 8 teams, only Aston villa has stronger strength compared to other teams. I think Aston villa must be able to focus their energy on reaching the final and winning the Conference League this season. Fiorentina is also strong but I doubt they can perform consistently. Although other teams may not be too strong, it is not impossible that they can surprise us when they play on the field.

Aston villa will face Losc, which is an easy match to predict if for the first leg, Aston villa is very much the favorite to win. Aston villa has quality players in their team this season where Watkins and Diaby are very important in their squad because they are able to play a quite good role in Aston villa progress in the Premier League and in the Conference League.

Lille are shown as a bigger favourite than Fenerbahçe according to bookmakers when it comes to winning the Conference League title. But I don't think so honestly. Both sides are strong but I think Fenerbahçe are still one step ahead. I think Fenerbahçe's squad is more impressive generally despite the small gap between squad market values.

Jonathan David is the biggest threat at Lille who is valued at 50 million euros as well. He was one of the rumoured players to join a much bigger team in the past transfer window. There is not a player who has a that high value at Fenerbahçe maybe but the general player quality still seems more impressive to me.

Aston Villa, which was previously only a small team in the English league, actually changed very drastically when Unai Emery became their coach, earlier this season we never expected if Aston was able to compete in the race for the championship and even at first they were able to beat the big teams in the English league, although now the performance has slightly decreased in the league but we don't see this happening in the conference league at this time,  Like you, I personally am also very believe if Lille will not be able to stop Aston Villa from reaching the Conference League final this season.

Compared to other more experienced team squads in Europe, of course, Aston Villa was initially underestimated, especially when Aston Villa was able to be held to a draw by Ajax in first leg, but Unai Emery experience in successfully bringing teams such as Villareal and Sevilla to win the Europa League certainly made Aston Villa as strong as it is today in the Conference League and it is proven that Aston Villa can beat Ajax with a big score in secound leg even though Ajax is filled with many experienced players in the Europa League , I think Aston Villa will be able to cope with Lille, which is indeed in good form in Ligue 1.

Let you look back at my post, I said if Aston Villa was a mediocre team when it was not coached by Unai Emery, even before Unai Emery coached Aston Villa in 2022, isn't Aston Villa just a team that ended the season at rank 17?

And at that time even they were only able to pick up 9 points from 11 games and were even lucky enough for them to stay in the premier because only a few more strips they would fall in the championship league at that time.

That's why I say if Unai Emey has brought wonders to the Aston Villa squad and even before Unai Emery came have you seen if Aston Villa at least entered the top 4 so far?
Yes, the changes that have occurred in Aston Villa cannot be separated from the modern football era, but it is not that easy for us to say they are a big team just because they are able to compete in the Conference League today, and if you say Aston Villa is a big team because they are in the third tier of European competition, then how can you call Westham who are now playing in the second tier of European competition?
I personally wouldn't underestimate Aston Villa because of Unay Emery's experience and even they are my favourites to win the Conference League this season guys.
