Don't be confused friends, just buy and hold it is a good way to think about it rather than wasting time trading.

There is no satisfaction for us if we can't hold btc for a long time.
Remember I really regret selling btc in 2019, so I hope you don't do it and keep holding btc for a long time.
Investing in btc only requires patience, if you are not patient then you will lose with time. Let's forget the sell button first.

Regret always comes late because what comes sooner is the beginning, so things like that don't need to be ignored anymore mate, because everyone including you can still enter the market to buy Bitcoin back, namely at the end of 2022 or early 2023 where the price of Bitcoin at that time was also quite low due to a fairly deep decline.

And for How to forget the sell button is actually very easy after buying Bitcoin, namely by not often looking at the price chart in the market, or you can also directly move it into a personal wallet if someone has bought Bitcoin in large quantities because remembering about the security that is more patent is in a personal wallet not in an exchange wallet. But for people who buy it in small amounts every week and it is still done more routinely, of course it doesn't matter to store it temporarily in an exchange wallet, but when the amount is quite a lot then it would be better to move it directly to a personal wallet.

Where are those people that don't understand bitcoin investment? Michael Saylor bought bitcoin last year which I could still remember and there were other users who made comment in one of the thread in the forum. Early last month or there about. Michael Saylor bought 15,400 BTC and which brought the total to 402,100 BTC as of last year. And when he bought the last bitcoins for last year, the price of bitcoin was about $91+k if I could still remember. And today I saw a notification that Michael Saylor sold bitcoins and made $1 billion profit from the sale.
From what you have explained here, I could say that if he bought bitcoin for @$91k last year and sold it this year, he'd be a short-term investor. I don't know if other times he has been buying Bitcoin and selling the next year, but this statement made me believe that he's a short-term investor. However, let's keep the profit he made aside. Even though he sold his Bitcoin and made $2b as profits from the Bitcoin he bought last year, it doesn't change anything, because those Bitcoins he sold and made a profit of $1 billion today will probably be worth more value in the future.
Quote
And he started his investment from 2020. In my previous comments, I said that bitcoin investment is all about the profit and not the longevity. The long term investment is depends on how much or how many bitcoins the investor has accumulated. I always said, you can buy bitcoin when the price is low and sell it when the profit is high and if you decide to sell it or continue hodling. Bitcoin investment is just a mathematical calculation. You buy $3,000 worth of bitcoin when the price is $20k and when the price hit $100+k even within a year, if you want to sell it, sell it and when the price reduced you buy again and that is how investment work but those who are here preaching the gospel of long term to the innocent investors which they themselves are not even investors. Look at the statistics purchase of Saylor and the time of selling some unit.
So, let's say, earlier in 2012 you bought Bitcoin @$100 with the sum of $1,000,000 (probably 10 BTC) and sold it in 2013 when Bitcoin were $700 (each). You will probably get $6,000,000 as profits plus capital, which made it $7,000,000.

Now imagine keeping the Bitcoin you bought @$100 from 2012 till now  Roll Eyes you will make more profits.

Actually, I think the reason why many long-term investors want to keep their Bitcoin for the long term is because they want more profits. And despite the amount you have invested in Bitcoin (whether big or small), when you hold it for the long term you will make more profits than in the short term.

Is this your understanding about trading and investor?, if so that means you also don't understand the clarification you were trying to make because you did not explain it the way it should be and I would have agreed to it if I did not understand what those things means but since I can differentiate the both, your definition about the trader and investor needs to be adjusted or amended because an investor is not a short term holder or even someone who acquired a lot of other cryptocurrency aside from Bitcoin because the moment you came up with a short term investment you already put yourself on the trading side, investor has only a unique word and that's long term.
if you have your personal suggestion you can educate us more and forgets about criticism, most of you doesn't know the similarity between trading and investment, someone who trade is  like someone sells constantly to make a little profit, why someone who is investor is looking at target because its target the person need most, that is why you that risk takers always make more money why the poor is not ready to risk, investors have target of what they will profit for their investment.

Investing in btc only requires patience, if you are not patient then you will lose with time. Let's forget the sell button first.
When an investor invests in Bitcoin, the most important thing is patience and a long-term holding perspective. You sold your Bitcoin holdings in 2019, and the highest price of Bitcoin in 2019 was around 12K, and currently the price of Bitcoin is $98K. Now think about it, if you had not sold Bitcoin in 2019, and still held it, then according to the current price of Bitcoin, what level would your profit portfolio have reached?
You are regretting now, but yes, the past never comes back, so it is wise to forget the past, focus on the future, and fully utilize the opportunities of the future. We cannot get back the opportunities of the past, but we can seize the opportunities of the future.
If we really want to have a chance to succeed in Bitcoin investment, we have to forget about selling for 8 to 10 years, remember, the demand for Bitcoin is increasing, Trump is supporting Bitcoin, various companies are starting to invest in Bitcoin, all in all, in the next 10 to 12 years we will see Bitcoin becoming more valuable than we expected.
So the biggest advice for those who will start investing in Bitcoin, will be, be patient and have a long-term holding perspective, and invest in DCA. If we can make the right decision at the right time, the potential height of Bitcoin can make us profit much more than we expected.

Constructive criticism brings out the best in everyone, at least @Roseline493 statement triggered you to make some expansion about the two terms to the best of your knowledge, @Onyeze I think there are some risk that are not worth taking, am not against any trader since it is what they have chosen to do which is also there personal.decison bit what I dont find funny is seeing a trader as a good risk taker that's so absurd to me, so you're trying to tell us that an unrealistic and uncalculative risk that has more uncertainty surrounding it should be encouraged thats laughably Buddy, am very happy that you mentioned investors as individual who has a set goal and strive to accomplish their misson in a long-term.

When you say risk takers makes more money you may be right but it all depends on the particular risk involved,  as a risk taker you must not embark on some risk that has the ability of rendering you financially incapacitated, so is not about the poor or the rich rather it's about your decision to make the right choice when opportunity calls not about taking risk when you already know that it's not part of the concept of the said investment.

Not only in terms of return, but if we want to invest based on reliability, Bitcoin will be at the top of all. Shit coins are like a kind of gamble where you can get a few times more but it will lose that price again in a short time. The situation of Bitcoin is definitely not like that. Even if there is some price correction in Bitcoin, it can recover again. When someone invests in shit coins, he has to invest blindly. Because he does not know in which coin he can get profit. But only Bitcoin can have such confidence that it will definitely increase but it may take some time. That is why we think it is safe to keep all eggs in one basket in the case of Bitcoin.
Bitcoin investment is top of all in terms of reliability and Bitcoin investment is the safest invest even this investment involves low risk. I sometimes wonder why people who have experience with Bitcoin i.e. Bitcoin investing consider investing in Shit coin. No one has ever been successful investing in shitcoins, so those who want to invest in these coins like fools should understand how safe bitcoin investment is and how much success can be gained from this investment. Those who invest in Shit coin should be shown how successful El Salvador and MicroStrategy have been with their Bitcoin investment or how much profit they have made with their BTC reserves.
To make Bitcoin investment safe you should have more practice about its importance such as long-term deposit tendency. It may be the best consideration in terms of investment which is simple and decentralized. Shitcoins are a risky one especially for those who consider it as an alternative to profit and reckless way to grow wealth. Bitcoin long term DCA method is to deposit any amount every week or month along with your income. Some investors who have been shown the wrong decision by others have bought shitcoins but they are able to understand later that their decision was very immature and they return to Bitcoin investment. As expected, investors investment decisions and with it the floating fund to run the long term cycle which allows them to become more experienced depositors.

Yes, it is a tested investment type that is a bold example for the world for countries like El Salvador to accept Bitcoin and legalize it as legal tender and I am more than hopeful that many other countries in the world will follow their example in the future. Russia has already started using Bitcoin for inter-trade transactions and is trying to build a strong economic zone alternate the dollar.

Its important to listen on the criticism of other people since not every time we are correct with our statement posted here. Even if we are long time dealing with Bitcoin for sure there are other information has been missed out that's why its good that there are people criticize us to that we can correct those wrong assumptions we made. This is how great this thread since there are people willing to correct us if we post a wrong information here since this adds up our knowledge then we became better investor.

I guess taking risk is situation and always choose the best approach since dealing with things you don't know the result will provably make you fall down and all efforts will be wasted. Also aside from thinking about we can deal with the risk, we also need to think smart if what we are doing gives us high probabilities to gain good results. To many good information to read here I guess people need to do back read if they are confused about what's going on here. Especially for those topics they want to tackle.

You have said it all, and that is how I see it in my own perspective, patience and long term holding is the goal here, because right now it seems very costly to traders because of their myopic ideas about Bitcoin, but we that are only seeing the bigger picture and how much it can go knows that it's really a bargain getting it now, especially at this current price, because we all know that it's just a matter of time that Bitcoin skyrocket to a million dollar, so utilizing this opportunity that presents itself is what we should be more concerned about, because the current value is a bargain comparing to it potential value in the future.

As for those feeling regretful of not acquiring it in the past.
My only words for them is that their is no point crying over spilt milk, get your ass together and move on, it's more better they seize the opportunity now, in other not to cry again in the future.

You have some kind of understanding in the difference between a trader and an investor, there is no doubt about that but I will simply want to add a little to what you already said because when it comes to bitcoin, there is a clear distinction between a trader and an investor. A trader, like you said, buys and sell within a short time whereas as investor holds for a long time. The key point is that one is constantly exposing his money to risk because when the trade is placed, a stop loss is set as well as a take profit. When the trade hits the stop loss, the trader is losing money, unfortunately, this happens more than the take profits which makes trading a very risky thing to do. On the other hand, the investor have his money stored and kept somewhere and with time the money will keep growing, he is not taking any risk neither is he wasting time with complex analysis. The beauty of investing is just enormous and can never be compared to trading that constantly raises the blood pressure of the trader.

I completely agreed with you on this and I will also add that one common thing (risk)that is generally associated with a trader is that they end up making purchases with an amount that they can not be comfortable with and sometimes some can even go to the extend of borrowing money to make purchases because they are carried away with making short term profits that is very uncertain and unrealistic, they panic when an asset is dipping and most times sell at lost and nobody gets to hear about it but when they make a profit the news will be all over the place while an investors with a long term investment plan will quietly purchase his asset with an amount they be comfortable with while their asset keep growing over time without making so much noise.

There is something people does not understand for investment and the trading someone who is a trader of cryptocurrency that person is not an investor but someone who purchase different kinds of cryptocurrency and hold for long time or a short time that person can be classified as an investor not someone who is a trader,

Is this your understanding about trading and investor?, if so that means you also don't understand the clarification you were trying to make because you did not explain it the way it should be and I would have agreed to it if I did not understand what those things means but since I can differentiate the both, your definition about the trader and investor needs to be adjusted or amended because an investor is not a short term holder or even someone who acquired a lot of other cryptocurrency aside from Bitcoin because the moment you came up with a short term investment you already put yourself on the trading side, investor has only a unique word and that's long term.
if you have your personal suggestion you can educate us more and forgets about criticism, most of you doesn't know the similarity between trading and investment, someone who trade is  like someone sells constantly to make a little profit, why someone who is investor is looking at target because its target the person need most, that is why you that risk takers always make more money why the poor is not ready to risk, investors have target of what they will profit for their investment.

we are all here to learn and whenever I'm being corrected of my mistake I tend to look into it and see what I did and put it right, I only saw somethings that was not right on your statement that was why I decided to put a little clarification on that, so you shouldn't make the word criticism to sound like an offensive word because what it simply means is disapproval of something you feel is not right and that's what I did because your definition of an investor was going contrary to what I have been taught here because you cannot tell us that someone who buys Bitcoin today and sell tomorrow is an investor because the short term you mean could be anytime, so perhaps you could be having a misconception about it, so just try and get the point I'm coming from.

In as much as I will love to say you are right, I think there are also investors who does similar thing and these are investors who doesn't actually understand the market and how it works just like traders who doesn't understand how trading works because a learned trader and also a learned investor will never borrow money to trade or invest but this days it actually do happen, I have seen someone who called himself an investor going to borrow money to investor which is lack of knowledge and I have also seen someone who called himself a trader going to borrow money which is also lack of knowledge and perhaps greed, some people don't know that is better not to trade and invest than going to borrow money to invest and trade because when any of them go contrary it is a problem.

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to "non-custodial"

You might want to label or consider me as crazy and/or even self-contradictory, yet I personally cannot bring myself to label bitcoin as "low risk."

Bitcoin is a great investment, and it has a lot going for it - yet at the same time, it seems difficult to consider it as "low risk," at least for me.

Bitcoin remains an asymmetric bet to the upside in which it is possible to lose everything (bitcoin going to zero scenario).. and asymmetric bet means that it is simultaneously around 1,000x or more of greater value than gold.. yet at the same time, gold is a physically hard asset, and bitcoin depends upon computer networks and communication systems continuing to function.

Personally, I think that it remains difficult to really figure out what is bitcoin and why bitcoin remains so valuable, even with around only ab out 1% of the world's population having any direct price exposure to it (meaning that they directly own it or they own some kind of a proxy, such as ETF shares or MSTR or something like that).

Simultaneously, I am going to continue to argue that normies will serve their own best interest to get as much exposure to bitcoin as they can, without over doing it, since it seems quite probable that currently, we are within seeming early stages of one of the greatest (if not the greatest) wealth transfers that the world has ever witnessed on a wide-scale basis, which is the transfer of wealth from no coiners to coiners, and surely it would be in the best interest of any and all folks (to the extent that they have any discretionary income/assets) to have some bitcoin (or direct exposure to bitcoin) so that they can be on the receiving rather than the giving end of such ongoing wealth transfer.

At the same time, as contradictory as I might sound, it seems to me that bitcoin is not risk-free (whether considering short-term price moves or even medium to longer term price moves), so each of us still has to figure out for our own good how to reasonably and prudently continue to increase our direct exposure to bitcoin, while at the same time not overdoing it and not contributing towards irresponsibly recking ourselves based on our failures/refusals to sufficiently/adequately hedge in such a way that is tailored to our own individual financial/psychological circumstances, and surely also our responsibilities to tailor our BTC approach to our own 9 individual factors.

I largely agree with your overall idea that people should focus on bitcoin first, and perhaps even exclusively focus on bitcoin, yet at the same time, we need to attempt to be realistic in terms of attempting to accept people for who they are and where people are inclined to go in terms of people getting incentivized by gambling, trading, shitcoins and even being incentivized by our current systems in which many folks are put into desperation based on various fiat systems robbing from them, and so in that regard, so many folks become desperate in regards to their own desires to gamble and even their inabilities to differentiate bitcoin from shitcoins, and so in that regard, if we are at least able to persuade folks to try to focus on learning bitcoin first and to limit their shitcoining and their gambling to no more than 10% the size of their bitcoin investment, then perhaps we might make some progress in regards to helping some folks to be in a better position to both help themselves and to come to the more correct conclusions on their own.. and the more correct conclusions would be that they should be emphasizing on both learning  bitcoin and increasing their bitcoin exposure without recking themselves and without getting overly distracted into shitcoins, gambling and/or trading...

and it can take a bit of time for people to get to such an investment into bitcoin approach, including that some folks are so much into a desperately bad situation in which they are already used to earning money based on gambling rather than investing, so sometimes they have to figure out ways to increase their discretionary income by increasing their income and/or decreasing their expenses while they are ongoingly building their bitcoin holdings.. which truly can take a long time to build, especially for folks with relatively lower amounts of discretionary income that they might have a lot of troubles to grow it, along with growing their bitcoin stash...and it can take some guys a long time just to get to a point that they are able to reach 1 million satoshis, and then perhaps later aiming to get to 2.1 million satoshis and then to get to 5 million satoshis and then to get to 21 million satoshis.. etc. etc. etc.. it can take a lot of time, especially for newbies and especially getting through their first whole bitcoin cycle and hopefully building up good habits and better ways of thinking about how they may well want to work towards investing rather than ongoingly trading and/or gambling with whatever resources they are able to garner.

I would not proclaim that trading and/or shitcoining would need to 100% be absent from investing in bitcoin, yet frequently I advocate that folks try to keep their shitcoining and trading to less than 10% the size of their bitcoin investment, whether we are referring to time, energies and/or value, so sure there could be ways to still call yourself an investor but to include some trading activities within your activities, and there are even some traders (perhaps rare) who approach their trading in a way that they are trading/investing at the same time, yet surely, an overwhelming majority of traders are neither successful in their fucking around with trading and/or they do not come up with systems that are sustainably able to both support themselves and to build their investment stash (whether BTC or otherwise) at the same time.  So, it can come off as quite confusing when some traders are trying to pump their trading nonsense and to suggest that trading is a suitable way to approach bitcoin, whether they consider their target audience to be a bitcoin newbie or some more experienced bitcoiner.
Your approach is indeed pragmatic, you’re very right with your suggestion that trading (if it must be done) should be a small part of an investor’s overall strategy rather than making it his primary objective or focus. And yeah it’s a pretty good suggestion to reduce and keep trading activities to at least 10% of one’s portfolio or even less, this is to ensure that the risks associated are minimized while also maximizing the potentials for long term growth/gain.

Unlike HODLing, trading carried several risks, and it’s absolutely unpredictable, regardless of how much experience you r got in trading,  plus we are humans and it’s very easy for emotions such as fear, anxiety and greed to set in and possibly cloud one’s judgement thereby resulting to impulsive decision making which of course could potentially result to financial losses.

It’s true that many people who approach the market finds it difficult to distinguish between  trading and investing in Bitcoin. Unlike trading, investing requires a more longer term strategy and perspective, where investors overlooks the short term fluctuations of the market and focuses more on the long term value and potential of the asset, trusting on the Bitcoin’s underlying value and potential.
While trading on the other hand requires a more sophisticated and complex approach whereby the trader needs to constantly evaluate the market to know the right time to buy and sell in order to maximize returns and profits in the short term.

Lots of traders in the crypto market tend to aggressively promote their strategies and how much profits one can make by adopting their strategies and making unrealistic promises of consistent returns in trading, and newbies who have little or no experience about the market but/and desire to make quick profits tend to fall for these traps. This, it’s essential to be very careful of such traders and to need to try as much as they can to educate themselves, very importantly, set realistic goals and also develop their own personal strategy that suited perfectly well with the goals that’s been set already.

In recent days, I had been further pondering in regards to why myself (and others) tend to continue to harp upon ideas of staying in bitcoin for at least 4 years (at minimum) and building our bitcoin investment and strengthening our cash flow management systems for at least 4 years minimum, and I believe that it has to do with our abilities to become more and more confident that our BTC holdings are going to be in profits with the more time that we are in bitcoin, and sure it is not guaranteed that we are going to be in profits, yet it also seems that if we might be measuring our BTC holdings by using the 200-WMA (which is also a 4 year average), it seems that after 4 years if we are continuing to invest in bitcoin, then we are most likely going to have decently good chances of being in profits, since if we had been consistently investing similar amounts of money on a regular basis into bitcoin (surely our salary might go up too, so we would likely be increasing our invested amounts each year), then after 4 years investing into bitcoin, our costs per BTC may well be right around the same as the 200-WMA... so it will seem to become more and more likely that after 4 years, we would have good chances of being more and more profitable (whether we are continuing to build our bitcoin stash size or not), since it seems that the 200-WMA will likely continue to go up faster than the cost of our average BTC is going up.. so we can develop more and more confidence that our BTC holdings are profitable on a long term basis (even though surely not guaranteed.. but still bitcoin remains amongst the best of places (if not the best) to put value as compared with other places that we might choose to put value.

Actually, I think the reason why many long-term investors want to keep their Bitcoin for the long term is because they want more profits. And despite the amount you have invested in Bitcoin (whether big or small), when you hold it for the long term you will make more profits than in the short term.
Quote

It seems to me that even though many long-term investors into bitcoin might be anywhere from 10x to 1,000x or even more in profits, the long-term investor might not be very motivated about the level of profits in which to valuate his holdings, but instead he transforms into some kind of a manager of his holdings who is not giving very much weight to the profits but instead how to just live with the holdings that he has and how to incorporate his management of his holdings into whatever lifestyle that he chooses.

Of course, the guy with 10x profits might feel that he has not quite gotten to a large enough wealth level, and surely the level of wealth likely also relates to how much the guy had been able to invest, so a guy who might have had been able to invest close to a year's worth of his annual income/expenses or more into bitcoin (over whatever period of time), he is likely going to feel much better than a guy who had ONLY been able to invest a few months of his annual income/expenses into bitcoin, since the magnitude of the value (and the compounding effects of the value) is not going to have as many comfort-inspiring ramifications if the initial capital invested was not of a very large size... and yeah, of course, with the passage of time, and if they amount of BTC's price appreciation is greater, then there are likely going to be way more levels of comfort that come from ending up falling into higher levels of compounding that could make up for the fact that some of us might have had invested into bitcoin way more whimpily than what we could have or should have.

Even though bitcoin's ongoing price appreciation is not guaranteed, even some whimpy investors have been saved by a longer passage of time and allowing for time to work in their favor so long as they had errored on the side of mostly holding their bitcoin, continuing to buy bitcoin and not fucking around with trying to trade it (or selling it at various points along the way prior to their reaching a sufficiently adequate BTC stash size/value).

Accordingly, there can be some BTC investors who had been investing into bitcoin pretty whimpily 8-12 years ago, yet now, they appear like geniuses merely because they mostly continued to hold their bitcoin and even that they might have continued to buy bitcoin from time to time, yet still in relatively conservative (and/or whimpy) ways.

1) Self-Custody is a right.  Resist being labelled as: "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

There are some reasons when a Bitcoin investor can borrow money which is when he or she has an emergency and his emergency funds was not able to solve the emergency he can borrow money instead of dipping hands into his Bitcoin in as much as he or she has a source of income that he can use to pay back.
Just few months back I was facing an emergency issue which exhausted all my backup funds and I still needed more money so I decided to borrow money and settle the emergency and when I received my salary for the month I paid back the money I borrowed.
One can also borrow money to accumulate aggressively when there's a dip, for example if you are using the DCA strategy and you have exhausted your backup funds or you don't have a backup funds at all you can borrow money and use it to accumulate aggressively during that dip, as long as you have a means of paying back with ease, if for example you are working and they are paying you $2k monthly and your expenses for a month is $500 that means you have $1500 as your Discretionary income monthly, and maybe you have a situation where you want to borrow $500 to accumulate aggressively on a dip and if the month runs down you pay back I don't think something is wrong with that, as long as you have the means of paying back the money you borrowed without dipping hands into your Bitcoin or it leading you into finance distress then is not wrong if it will then is wrong.

Well taking loan to invest or trade as the case may be does not even mean that the person in question is not learned or doesn't understand how the system works. Just that there are time people face financial constrain and discretion amount may not be able to run all financial activities and this is as a result of fucking  up down the road by over spending or recklessness and this will result in taking loan. But such loan are good when you have a backup to payback in due time. Maybe you are expecting money and you really need to invest and you are out of discretion then you can borrow then when the expected money comes then you pay and make sure you arrange yourself and never make such mistake of fucking up by overspending any more. Although such case are rear. But we must be very careful on how we spend to not find ourselves in a situation of taken loan to invest because it's. Obviously not a good idea.

Taking a loan to keep to your bitcoin accumulation ongoing isn't a bad idea but where you are taking this loan from, the interest rate and the understanding between both parties. You might be expecting your monthly income next week and the market dips, you can take a Ioan from a friend, coworker or from your Boss so that you don't miss the dip in order for you to buy bitcoin at a cheaper price. Such loans might not have interest on them or very little interest that would mean nothing to you.

Sometimes at work, I borrow money from my colleagues or I do take salary advance from my Boss make life easy for me since I cannot wait for the day I will be paid, or due to all my income being divided into various necessity, because whatever makes you to start your bitcoin accumulation, buying bitcoin regularly is a necessity. It's when you don't have a discretionary income and you just want to start your bitcoin investment that taking loan from the bank or money lenders with high interest rates is when it becomes a problem, especially, when you are planning to pay back from the profit from your bitcoin investment, that's the dumbest thing anyone should think of or do.

However, as long as you can pay back with the duration given to you or based on your understanding with whoever gave you the loan, it isn't a problem, but first you need to figure out your own financial case scenario playing around you at that moment before making such decisions to avoid messing things up yourself.

Afterall some countries are taking loan to improve their economy. Nayib Bukele applied for  $1.4billion loan from IMF and after approval, he bought bitcoin the next day, because the country has what it takes to pay back the loan. If you have what it takws to pay back the little loan you collected from your co-workers, friends and family members. No problem but don't do it above your limit.

Buying Bitcoin on loan can be a good idea if there is no interest involved and it is going to be much more positive for you and I think you can get a much better stack through this loan. The time frame for accumulating the stack and repaying the loan should be at least 5 years. However, I doubt that you will get a loan for a long time. If you have a loan to pay off for 4 years, it is a good decision to increase your stashing and add a portion of your discretionary income to it. You should be determined to add your own money along with the loan amount.

Discretionary Income If you can regularly put aside Bitcoin for savings it can give you extra security for repaying the loan and increasing the holding. Relying solely on loan may not be a good decision as it can make you lazy which is a loss in investment. The tendency to pay interest on the loan can expose you to bad experiences when the lender pressures you and you have to repay the capital along with the profit.

I think Nayib Bukele is not only dependent on the IMF loan, they are focusing on increasing their holdings from their overall income for Bitcoin holdings and the target of repaying the loan from the income. Since they are getting a grace period for repayment, for them, depositing Bitcoin has a more positive impact on the economy of the country.

Since bitcoin investment is a long time investment I don't accept the idea of taking loan to invest into Bitcoin instead it is better you accumulate with the little amount with you, paraventure after taking this loan and the work you are hoping for to pay from now stop or something happened along the line and you were been sack from your job in that process you may decide to sell your bitcoin hodling even at lost to make sure your loan is been repaid at the time you may regret taking loan to invest into Bitcoin it is better to keep increasing your Bitcoin stack gradually little by little using DCA strategy to accumulate and hodl for long then you can choose to lump sum if probably an amount of money you weren't expecting comes your way it could be lottery or some bonuses at place of work to increase more your bitcoin accumulation than going for a loan to invest into Bitcoin, bitcoin investment shouldn't been seen as other businesses where you can take a long before two three months you have sold out some money to pay back remember that Bitcoin investment is a long time investment.

You made a good and valid point here, taking loan for investment purpose is actually wrong in my own opinion, because it puts you under unnecessary pressure of playing it back .
Secondly, another major obstacle and why it wrong to take a loan is that so many loan carry's bogus interest rate that wouldn't be ideal for any investment on the longer run.

Though their are some loans you can be gradually paying  back from your paycheck, but  the challenge their is mostly the interest rate.
But one important question we actually need to ask ourselves before taking such a step is that, if something bad happens to our investment, can we afford the loss?
If no, then it's actually a terrible idea to the person in question to take a loan to invest, because the risk is too much too bear.

Yes, investing in Bitcoin with a loan is a very bad idea, because the loan you take, it will have to be repaid with interest after a certain period of time, and if you invest in Bitcoin with this loan, is there any guarantee that Bitcoin will give you a guaranteed profit? Bitcoin is an unpredictable, and Bitcoin never guarantees anyone a guaranteed profit. So if you invest in Bitcoin with this loan, and if Bitcoin will dump in the future, And then if it's time for your repay time your loan, then at that time you have to sell your Bitcoin holdings for repay your loan, (at a lower price than the investment), then how will you repay your loan with interest? At that time, the actual amount of your loan will have to be paid from your pocket, and the full interest will have to be paid entirely from your own money. That is, if an investor invests in Bitcoin with a loan, he will may face a huge loss.

So investor have invest in Bitcoin with such money, which even if lost, it will not have any negative impact on your lifestyle. That is, invest with the ability to lose, and no matter how small the amount is, there is no problem. Just buy DCA with a certain amount of money according to your income and expenses, and keep it undisturbed for the next 2 to 3 cycles, then you will have the possibility of getting very good profits through it.

You're right taking a loan to invest in bitcoin for me I think is very risky what if you eventually lose all the whole money how will you manage to pay back the loan? So therefore we should always learn how to manage the little we have because the reason why most people always think of going for loan to invest in bitcoin sometimes this happens as a result of being greed they're not always contented with what they have, maybe when they see other investors who like investing in bulk they will also try to do the same without even knowing that all fingers are not equal. the person you see that is investing in bulk maybe he/she has a well paid job you that doesn't have a decent job is now trying to competite with him/her. However, bitcoin investment is all about investing with what we can afford is not all about competition.

Generally, taking a loan to start up a business or invest is not a good idea because of the added pressure it comes with. It's more better to use a loan money to finance an existing business and the interest rate must be very low, so that while paying it back in instalment, the business or investment wouldn't have to feel much effect from it.
But as of the case of Bitcoin investment, it's a bad idea  because Bitcoin is an asset that should be held in a very long time, so thinking of paying back the loan with the money invested in Bitcoin is one of the worst thing a Bitcoin investor should do, because he might be forced to sell at a loss or prematurely just to pay back when the loan debt is due, so taking of loan with the purpose of investing it in Bitcoin is one thing we should all avoid, because it's not proper.
