How it everyone feeling during this altcoin crash?

So for weeks i have been hearing that we need the US Government to end the shutdown to get more confidence back into the market and yesterday after 43 days, the longest in history, the shutdown finally ended.

Not much reaction in the market yet, will be interesting to see how the US reacts when it opens in a few hours.

After that, the market immediately began to slowly decline, and expectations changed. The $100,000 support level was broken, and BTC's price is now at $97,930, slammed by fearful investors. This indicates an outflow of cash from BTC into more relevant instruments, namely gold. If whales continue to behave like this, it's possible the decline will continue, even though the current area is highly monitored by others.

I’ve been in this a while now , it doesn’t get too stressful just frustrating at times like I’m sure it does for most of us.

I think now the 4 year cycle is over it’s a lot harder now to know what is going to come each month. We have QT ending in 2 weeks which should help but it feels like there is just too much negative sentiment about the place right now that any good news just doesn’t seem to make a difference.

I believe it is all manipulated to shake many investors out and to allow the big money to buy everything cheap but the problem we have is that we don’t know how long this shake out could be it could be another month or 6 months.

Bitcoin is currently 25% down from the $126k high and there have been many 25% crashes for Bitcoin over the years where it has recovered so all we can do is wait for the recovery and not panic like they want us to.

Yeah I havent been following it much last few days I've just got a few price alerts set on my phone and neither of them have hit yet so we seem to be stabilizing but who knows how long that will last.

Overall I think we could go as low as $84k before we bounce but hoping it doesnt go that low.

My portfolio is only 2% in the red so it could be a lot worse, luckily ive had a few winners which is holding me up a bit overall but i do have some that are 70% or more down and looking to cash out of them closer to break even once the market starts going up again.

I'm not really sure about that consider 80k should be the demand zone. If it's moving down again, it may be break it, then go to the 70k range.

Apart from that the thing i don't like that it takes years for Bitcoin to get another bullish year. So it will really test our patience when we decide to hold our asset.

I think times are changing , 2025 has been awful year for crypto so why can’t 2026 be a good year or at least a half good year?

QT ends today , QE will start in 3-6 months and we will will have more rate cuts so more money will enter.

I really have no idea what is going to happen next few weeks but I will keep holding , if we go down to $75k range I will buy more.

Another week of not knowing which way this market is heading.

Feels like there has a been a lot of good news lately but Bitcoin is being held back, currently at $90.5k.

I am just holding for now and happy either way if Bitcoin goes below $80k i will buy more, if it goes up then hopefully we can clear $100k and head towards new highs in the coming months.

We have QE coming , more rate cuts and FED pumping money into the market so don't see how we are heading towards a bear market like some are saying.   We could have a few bad months, but overall feel 2026 could be a good year.

Many expected 2025 to be a good year but it hasnt so for me the 4 year cycle is over.

Bitcoin currently at $86k, the whole sentiment across the crypto market is very negative lately and not sure what is going to change that anytime soon. We have rate cuts and QE coming but sounds like that won’t help for another 3-6 months so we could be in for a bad Q1 by the sound of it.

My portfolio is currently the lowest it has been since I started crypto , -21% overall. But I am not selling, if we have this for many more months before we recover then I will just buy the lows while prices are cheap and wait till we recover, I can wait another 6 months or so if we have to it won’t be ideal but time goes fast 6 months will go quick.

However I don't think we need to panic, The same thing happened a few weeks ago, when all altcoins followed a major decline like Bitcoin, but slowly recovered, though not completely. The same thing may happen with the current correction.

A 21% loss is significant and portfolios have also experienced losses, but not as severe. However I don't think we need to panic. In fact, it would be better to continue accumulating some altcoins and Bitcoin that we believe will grow further and see their prices surge rapidly in the future. During a market correction like the current one, I think we can capitalize on it.

A prolonged decline is possible, but I don't predict it. I think this will only last a few weeks, and I believe a recovery will occur in the coming weeks.

Well, people think crypto is all about getting rich quick. They want it to keep rising "to infinity and beyond". But as with everything, "what goes around, comes around". Market corrections are common, especially when we're talking about highly-speculative assets such as altcoins. They're much riskier investments than Bitcoin due to increased volatility. Not to mention, most altcoins are unreliable (in terms of security/reliability).

The altcoin crash will continue as long as Bitcoin remains "bearish". If Bitcoin becomes "bullish" for an extended period of time, altcoins will see the "light at the end of the tunnel". They move according to Bitcoin's market performance. I haven't seen altcoins reach a new ATH on their own, without BTC turning "bullish". It's going to take a long time before the next altcoin season begins. The first step would be the approval of spot ETFs from major alts by the SEC. Then we can talk about the altcoin market rising all the way to glory. Crypto land behaves in many strange and bizarre ways, so expect the unexpected.

Less than 24 hours left of 2025 and what an awful year it has been for Bitcoin & altcoins.

I feel hardly any of us know what to expect anymore as the 4 year cycle is dead so we do not know what 2026 will bring. Will it be bullish or bearish? No one knows for sure. For those who believed in the 4 year cycle, 2025 was supposed to be a good year like 2021 was but it’s been terrible.

2026 could be a good year but I don’t see anything happening till at least Q2 as the whole sentiment across crypto right now is very bad and feels like it will take a few months at least to get any positivity back.

I am still holding, haven’t bought any crypto for almost a month now as expect us to go lower in the next few weeks, waiting for Bitcoin to hit $82k before I buy more.

My portfolio is currently -24% which is the lowest it’s been for a few years but I’ve seen this before , will hold no matter what and just wait for the good times to return just none of us know when that will be , could be a few months or we might have to wait till 2nd half of 2026. Either way I will wait for better days to return.
