Ajax is a club that is predicted to be able to be in the last 16. You shouldn't use EPL to compare EL, because the clubs are from different leagues and have different strengths. EPL is the toughest league so far, and that's why United will not gamble with their opportunities of making it right in the league. United performance might be very worst in EPL but I don't see it like that in EL. Let's watch out and see how far United will go in this competition.

It seems like Ajax have really pulled themselves together this season.    They are back at the top in the Eredivisie after a long time. And they are doing really well in the Europa League as well.

They were underestimated by bookmakers against USG. But they won by 2-0 away already and we can say they are too close to next phase. Because no way they are throwing it home from here. Are Ajax a title contender in the Europa League? I say why not?    It isn't impossible work to do for them. Ajax are always a dangerous team in European competitions when they are having a solid season. I would trust them more than Manchester United and Tottenham in this tournament honestly.

Ajax look a better side this season than they were in the previous season. Last season Ajax finished in fifth position after struggling with consistency all season but this season they look better shaped and determined to do better. They currently sit top of the league table with two points gap from PSV in second place. Yesterday they defeated Heracles by four goals to nil. Ajax are in red hot form and I think they are in better position to compete for the Europa League title this season.

There are a lot of action-packed fixtures waiting for us in the second leg of the knockout playoffs in the UEFA Europa League competition this Thursday which includes Roma vs Porto, Galatasaray vs AZ Alkmaar, Anderlecht vs Fenerbahce etc but the that's caught my attention is the game involving Turkish champions Galatasaray and their Dutch opponents AZ Alkmaar.
Coming from a 4:1 defeat in the first leg at the home of AZ Alkmaar, I'm curious to know if you think Galatasaray can overturn deficit and progress to the next round of the competition. Or is this the end of the road for Galatasaray? Let me read your thoughts on this

Most at times I tell people not to use the league form of some clubs to judge their European competitions, Real Madrid in the champions league had done same thing by losing in their league and then going on to winning games in the champions league or even winning the competition, Sevilla is another brilliant example. Chelsea once won the competition by finishing outside the champions league places.

This doesn’t mean I say Manchester United are going to win the competition but if not for their injury crises they definitely have the potential to win this competition and even going all the way unbeaten in the entirety of it. Manchester United once won the competition with players on crutches. For me this is the competition that Ruben Amorim needs to actually focus more on.

His predecessor had a great first season by finishing in the champions league places and winning the EFL league cup, winning this season Europa league as long as he doesn’t get relegated will be a bigger accomplishment not withstanding he is still in the FA cup competition with most big guns already out of it.
