Galatasaray failed to advance into the next round of the Europa League competition as they failed to beat AZ Alkmaar at home but struggled to get just a 2:2 draw at home this is not a good one for Galatasaray because this is one club that the owners has really invested into by buying of quality players for the sole purpose of competing favourable in Europe but with this kind of performance am not really impressed I think that what Galatasaray needs is a challenge of coach because it's obvious that the current coach has failed to manage the quality of players that are at his disposal

But for AZ Alkmaar nice one for them because I didn't expect them to put up this kind of result from them but am particularly happy for the Netherland league because teams from the Ere divisie has been doing well both in the champions League and in the Europa League this is a sign that the quality of football in the Ere divisie is high

Roma takes the lead as Dybala score his second goal to give Roma the lead of 3-2 goal aggregate. Roma might finally scale through to the round of 16 with Dybala two goals, if Roma can take advantage of these lead. Dybala scored two goals within four minutes, and they were both world class goals. Their match had just ended a few minutes ago and in this match Roma were really able to make the difference with their superiority in attack so that Roma were able to qualify today to the next round after ending the match with a score of 3-2. I was also quite impressed with Paulo Dybala's action in that match because he was able to provide two goals that were really needed by Roma to be able to qualify for the next round although the third goal for Roma was no less important. Because Porto also managed to get a second goal through an own goal in the final minutes of the match from one of Roma's players, namely Dybala's replacement in the 87th minute.

Eustáquio got a direct red card due to the frustration from Roma players and he wanted to fight on the field. The was how Bryan Cristante got a red card in the first leg in Portugal. Paulo Dybala got a brace in the first half, although did tried to get his hattrick but unfortunately not this night, while Pisilli was able to get to the scoresheet making three and then Roma conceded an own goal in the final minutes of the game.

Excellent performance from Dybala to send his team to the knockout stage, Roma really did dominate the game.

The match has come to an end, and it came exactly as I expected, which ended up in a win for AS Roma. They won with a score of 3-1, which in aggregate is equivalent to 4-2.

The match between AS Roma and Porto ended 3-2 (not 3-1) and the aggregate result was 4-3.

Anyway, As Roma qualified for the round of 16 and they will face Athletic Bilbao or Lazio.

Dybala became the best player in this match, because Dybala managed to score two goals in a short time which he managed to score in the 35th and 39th minutes. I thought today's match was more likely to be a draw. But it seems that we will see AZ Alkmaar win in today's away match as well.

It was a really amazing performance from both teams, and it still came as expected because I have never thought AS Roma would lose a home game, and it came as expected, so kudos to them.

I can't imagine what it would be like if Porto would play with 11 players until the end of the match. I'm sure the match could have ended with extra time or even be very dangerous for Roma. We can see how Porto played with 10 players but in crucial minutes were able to score 1 more goal. This means that Porto has a very strong performance and if Stephen didn't get a red card, I'm sure Roma would feel pressured when playing at home.

With this performance I have doubts that in the last 16 Roma will likely fail. Maybe it's too early to say this but Roma's performance still looks bad to face a stronger opponent.

Honestly, if Porto had played without the red card, the match would have been a completely different story. Porto really played well, even with just 10 players. I was surprised by how Porto performed even after the red card. If Porto had managed to score goals despite being a man down, they would have achieved something remarkable.

In fact, they should have been given more time in the game. Even with the red card, anything could have happened. Before this match, I knew that facing Porto wouldn't be easy for Roma, despite it being Roma's home game. To be sincere, Roma played well, and that is why they ended up as the victors of this match. I don't expect Roma to lose this match, but if Porto gets more chances from long balls that are tricky, it seems the match could end in a draw.

They have high spirit already; there should be three goals ahead, Porto are lucky for the break because Dybala is turning into the Mbappe of Real Madrid for Roma with one goal to a hattrick.

You can't fault Roma for having high spirits and I expect that this match will be tough but the Italian outfit will be up for it. They've picked up form so its more likely they will come out on top. They really need to, it's not like there's more Italian clubs in the competition.

The score of their first leg against AZ Alkmar was what actually demoralized Galatasaray that is why they didn't put much efforts in this second leg knowing that it will take them 3 goals to match up with AZ Alkmar's 4:1 win in the first leg, and AZ Alkmar also understood the assignment and they quickly scored 2 goals before Galatasaray equalized. Galatasaray even got courage to still push harder to equalize the 2 goals if not since they knew that equalizing the score won't make any difference to them they could have just been reluctant till the game ends. So sad to see that despite all the expenses that Galatasaray made in bringing forth quality players to the team in order to have a solid team in the Europa League, they are finally out of the competition. AZ Alkmar and Ajax Amsterdam are making the Netherlands proud after PSG Eindhoven also won Juventus yesterday and qualified for the Champions League round of 16.

I had thought and wanted AS Roma to qualify from the start so that it would be more exciting and finally it happened. If in the UCL a team from the Portuguese league managed to thwart a Serie A team, here a Serie A team thwarted a team from the Portuguese League.

Victor Osimhen was left out of the first leg of the Europe League match between AZ Alkmaar because he was on suspension. And his absence affected their performance negatively. If he was on the pitch, Galatasaray wouldn't have been beaten with that high goal margin.  The home team felt his impact today but the sloppy defending of Galatasaray caused them to concede two goals. The youthful AZ Alkmaar showed some class and deserve to be in the competition's round of sixteen.  It was a disappointing outing for a club that was tipped to win the the competition. Galatasaray would have to focus on the Turkish League especially the game they have with Fenerbahce.
