Fenerbahçe played very very badly and made many mistakes. Rangers won 3-1 and the next round is now very unlikely for Fenerbahçe.

Sebastian Szymanski might have been the worst player of the night, the other players were also bad, but his mistake cost Fenerbahçe a goal.

Fenerbahçe have to win the next game with a different score, it's not easy for them.

I didn’t watch the game but, was following up the game and I wasn’t any much surprised of the outcome of this game. I see the Scottish side Rangers to be a much better team than the Türkiye side Fenerbahce. The scoreline though, wasn’t much but, a lot satisfactory for the winning side.

Manchester United managed to get a draw from Real Sociedad, that’s a good score I think. This was supposedly a Real Sociedad win match but, they just couldn’t make that happen.

The both teams are not very consistent this season but I think Manchester United is more stronger than Real socided this season, Manchester United should try their best so they can be able to eliminate Real Sociedad at Old Trafford when they meet in their second leg though before now I thought Real Sociedad will win Manchester United but after watching their fist leg am well convince that Manchester United will qualify.

Let’s see if Manchester United will be able to get a win when Real sociedad decide to visit them, but am not expecting anything special than what Manchester United played today even when Real sociedad visit them, I won’t be surprise if they end up eliminating Manchester United. The only trophy which is left for Manchester United to win, they are trying to lose it. I was expecting a better performance from Manchester United today, but they failed me, Manchester United couldn’t even dominate the match, they have almost equal dominance in the match, equal goal attempts in the match. Let’s just see how the second leg will go, but Manchester United will have to be careful, they shouldn’t joke with the second leg.

The second match will be something g yo look after, we know how good Jose Mourinho is, he is an experienced ed coach that is capable of turning things around, we might see some strange performance from the team in returning match just for Fenerbahçe to win the match. It’s surprises me when people have confidence in Manchester United to win their next match since Real sociedad will be visiting them. I don’t even know the energy which Manchester United put in the match, because Manchester should have gotten a win in the match if their is any energy in them, am not just expecting anything different from what Manchester United played today in the second leg of the match.

Tottenham never ceases to amaze. 1-0 is not a critical defeat and roughly speaking if you expect to get to the next round you should score at least one goal in any case (you can't wait for a penalty shootout), but to lose to an underdog + make one shot on target in the entire game...

I didn't like Fenerbahçe's game today, I expected much better from them. I think Mourinho didn't observe Rangers well enough. This score is embarrassing for them. They should have drawn at home at the worst. Now their quarter-final dreams are probably over. It's very difficult for them to score at least 3 goals and win in Scotland. They have so many good strikers but only Djiku (defender) scored.

Sometimes football is like that but it was still a disappointment for the players and the fans as well, we all expected them to play better and we expected a better result than what we saw. Fenerbahce had couple of goal scoring opportunities but failed to utilize them which means the day was not theirs and they were even lucky that some goals were ruled out for offside if not it would have been worse, it would have been 1-5. Losing such goal margin at home is very disappointing and Rangers would be difficult to beat at their home ground. Qualifying for the next round will now be challenging for them.

They are both not in their best shape this season that is why it will not be easy to predict a winner, Real Soceidad cannot be underrated at all and even if Manchester United looks to be better their performance is not really consistent and with the way they lose matches at Old Trafford I can’t really say they will be strong to win at home.  Anything can happen in the second leg. Manchester United performance is not really convincing and even today they nearly lost the game despite scoring first in the game.

I was impressed that they gave it their all, with 5 shots on target out of 13 shots.

I don’t like Amorim's action during the second half when he removed Garnacho and brought in Dalot after Sociedad equalized 1-1; in my opinion, he shouldn't have removed an attacker and brought in a defense when there was a draw.  Manchester United must play with full strength to score a lot of goals in the second leg so they can avoid going to penalty shootouts like they did against Fulham and lost the FA Cup.

I didn't expect less for Manchester United in tonight's Europa league. This is because I know that they are good in the Europa league as they have nice records in the league this season. Manchester United was supposed to win Real Sociedad in Spain and finally eliminate them in old Trafford but the first attempt has failed. Let us see as the second leg will be.

Meanwhile, even if I have to applaud Garnacho for an overall good performance, I must categorically state that he is speedily developing into a greedy player.

Spurs this season arent doing well and i think that AZ will pass for sure Spurs even tho they are going away in second leg. A goal from Zirkzee temporarily put Manchester United in the lead. They seemed to play well in this match, they also did not allow Real Sociedad to be able to freely attack that would endanger their defense.
They still have to focus if they want to bring home the victory. There is still enough time for them to have to respond and they can also turn things around. Usually towards the end of the match is a very crucial time.

The game ended in a draw after Rela socidad got an equalizer and Manchester United were unable to get another goal to stay ahead in th game,  I think Manchester United is gradually having challenge scoring goals as they have only win my small margin and have been struggling to keep clean sweets which makes it obvious how weak their defence could be and lastly their reluctance after scoring a goal that keeps them on a lead is usually just too much and that could also be a challenge that are facing currently and until they finally fix their defence and gwt a good striker,  they may continue to suffer challenges as this and may not be able to make it to winning the europa league this season.

I agree, draw is a good step for Manchester United while the second leg match will determine who will qualify and Manchester United has the advantage as the home team. As you said the situation was worse for Tottenham when they were defeated but yeah 1 goal is still the ideal difference and they can still catch up when playing at home. Basically I think the Premier League teams will qualify for the next stage/round or maybe we can see one of them can go to the final

No major surprises, although I expected Ajax and Fenerbahce to win their games.

Viktoria Plzen Vs Lazio was pretty dramatic. Lazio scored an opener early on, Viktoria equalised in the 53rd, then Lazio lost 2 men due to red cards in 77th and 90+3 but, despite being down to 9 men, they scored a winner in the last seconds.
I've only watched short highlights so have no idea what those 2 red cards were for and whether or not they were deserved.

There is no limit to how terrible Tottenham can get this season, every match now seems to be harder than it should be, regardless of how easy their opponent appears on paper, they really just can’t figure anything how, and I’m surprised there haven’t been concrete talks about potential change of coach. If the series of poor run of form should continue with almost zero chance of appearing in Europe next season too, I don’t know what will happen.

Manchester United team performed very well in this match, but I predicted that Real Sociedad team would win this match. But the result of the game was really equal for both teams on the scoreboard. However, it is very difficult to judge the games of this season correctly, because Manchester United team attacked a lot in this match. But Real Sociedad team and Manchester United team are very close in terms of attack, Manchester United team has old and experienced players who led this match for a long time with their intelligence and strategy.
But in the end Real Sociedad team was lucky and got a penalty and the results of both teams were equal on the scoreboard and the game finally ended in a draw.

The game has ended and  Alkmaar is the winner. Spurs is really passing through a difficult time. Why was it difficult to get a goal from the game after having 62% possession and more chances created in the game. It almost similar to the match between PSG and Liverpool.

The way i see things  Alkmaar will end up scaling through Tottenham and Manchester United straight to the final. It is unbelievable that the two giant EPL team cant win  Alkmaar this season.

Manchester United team performed very well in this match, but I predicted that Real Sociedad team would win this match.

What do you  consider as performed well. I watched the game and real sociedad dominated the game more and even after Manchester United went ahead I still strongly believe that real sociedad will find a way back.
I think right now Manchester United has lost every bit of confidence and they going into every game hoping it doesn't turn out badly for them.
I believe that they have a chance but they will have to come into the second leg with more believe and confidence.

Eliminating a top side like Galatasaray will definitely improve the confidence and belief of the AZ Alkmaar players and manager. To them now, they have all it takes to conquer the whole of their opponents en route to winning the UEFA Europa League competition and when a teams possesses such confidence, it'll be very detrimental to underrate them.  I don't think Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou will want to underestimate the strength of the Dutch team so I expect him to adopt his best playing style in their game tonight.

And this is really proven. Az Alkamaar may be an unexpected club so far and now they can beat Tottenham in the first leg, even with a very thin core, 1 - 0.

Postecoglou admitted that this is a "tricky pitch" and they are not able to control it well. Not only that, from the statistics of the game, Tottenham is quite dominant, it's just that their attack line is very bad.
