I still can't understand how a team that is being managed by one of the most defensively conscious coach in Europe could suffer such a humiliating defeat in front of their home fans, even if they have to loose it didn't have to be against such a team, I can't see what's so special about Rangers that would warrant such a scoreline against Fernebache who had the home advantage.

Now it would be very difficult for Fernebache to find themselves back into this game in second leg because Rangers now have the home advantage and a two goals advantage which is as good as qualifying for the next round .

There is no other hope than to pursue the UEL title which currently still has an open chance. It is not an escape but has indeed become Amorim's plan. And it is all because of the difficulty of competing in the EPL with the current line up of players.

This is my typing mistake. I remember that fenerbahce was losing 3-1. Because you will notice that in the next line I wrote that Fenerbahce need to win the away match by at least 3 goals to qualify for the quarter finals. And I don't think that is possible.

The result for now is what it is and I wouldn't give Tottenham 50% anymore as Alkmaar goes through with a draw. But it is not like Tottenham is already out, they still have a decent chance to go to the next round.
