There is no easy word in achieving a trophy even though it is in the Europa League competition because in any competition every team must fight with the abilities they already have in order to win. Lyon is a team from France who will be Manchester United's opponent, but the Manchester United team must also have a good performance if they want to win because in terms of competing in a competition it is highly discouraged to underestimate the opponent even though the opponent is the Lyon team.

Manchester United inability to beat Nottingham Forest tells much about the level confidence that they will approach Lyon with. We and you doesn't trust Manchester United for a second. No matter how nice we might try to present them on paper, but in reality, we don't trust them. The little trust they will get is because they have been unbeating in the Europa league, which is not also a yardstick to qualify for the next stage. The defeat against Nottingham forest is one which I don't want to believe Manchester United is going  to allow to affect how well they will be performing in the europa knowing what's at stake for them in the europa, they will be facing a considerably average team actually because in the French league,  lyon is a team that will be considered an average and not a big team so it shouldn't be considered any higher as Manchester United is supposed to be the bigger side except for their recent form as they are even more experienced in the europa than Lyon and have won more europa trophy than Lyno may have ever taught,  nevertheless the reality of the now is to consider the chances which Manchester United have gotten in this game but they are not reliable enough as they have got too many inconsistency but hopefully they do better with this one seeing what they are hoping to achieve with this.

All the teams have the ambition to win a trophy, it is not only Man United which has a big ambition. There are still many big teams to face Man United if they are qualified in the next round. Lazio, Athletic Club, Frankfurt, and even Tottenham are strong team to face Man United if Man United can secure the ticket for the semi-final. Well, for now, it is better to focus on the match against Lyon. Man United can't underestimate this team because Lyon is also a strong team from Ligue 1.

It is in a position that is far from the impression we have been getting from Manchester United for years. I am afraid that the Portuguese manager has not found a solution for Manchester United either. His squad may be bad, but I would still expect them to be more successful tactically. They continue to compete in the Europa League and they have to win the Europa League.

You know when a team has EPL over the weekend and a UCL fixture in the coming days,,, they always tend to reserve some players and even do some changes to their formation and game strategies just to be well prepared for the UCL than they will for the premier league. Given that, the EPL is more about points, you don’t get kicked out of the league without having all 32 games played and your points don’t tally up.

It’s not the same with the other leagues as, a home and away loss could do the job. Different strategies are employed to keep the team fit. That’s what happens when you’ve lost hope in a trophy and still have some chance at the other. You tend to put more energy and concentration on the other.

Bodø/Glimt are such an interesting team you know. They can really be dangerous in tournaments like the Europa League. Just as they are in the quarter finals now. They don't have a good squad maybe but it is still okay for them. 

However it looks like the end of the road for them... Lazio is a huge threat and I don't think they can get past this obstacle. By the way England still has 2 teams in the tournament. For now this is the worst season for Manchester united and they have refused to improve most especially in the premier league, they lost against Nothingham forest which is very shameful because Nothingham forest has beaten them home and away this season. United lack creative attackers to finish the ball. Finding the back of the net has been their major problem in EPL. I hope that they'll be able to make proper use of their chances when playing Lyon, because they created a lot of chances against Forest but none of the striker had the quality of finding the back of the net. There must be an evaluation for the next match because I see Manchester United's game does not show the best quality at all, especially the front line which is unable to create opportunities to score goals. Lyon did not appear consistent but they have the advantage of playing at home so there needs to be a much better strategy so that Manchester United can win the match.

The defeat against Nottingham Forest did not give any results in the Europa League but their weaknesses will definitely be exploited by Lyon. So there must be a special strategy that can be applied by Amorim to maintain Manchester United's chances of qualifying for the next round.

At this point, it's hard to say. They still have to battle it out with strong teams like Bilbao, Lazio, Lyon, Frankfurt. For Manchester united coach to remain with the team next season, he have to show some improvement that will make people to believe that he is capable to revive the players to improve. This is the only trophy people hope for Manchester united to win which they will do what they have never showcase before to beat Lyon to qualify for semi final in this UEFA Europa league.

The PL is at the top no doubt about that. But this doesn't show Manchester United are also at the top in the Europa League. Nobody is writing them off easily but the truth is that their job will be really difficult.

They don't have a good squad now. Not great in offense and the same in defense. They rely on Bruno Fernandes lately. As for Amorim, he can't do anything this season either. He needs to bring new players to make this club strong for real.

So currently I think even Lyon have the strength to eliminate them...

It is undeniable that Man United this season is bad in the domestic league but very different when in the European league, and it is true that the opponents they face can be said to be not a tough team. On paper Man United is slightly more favored to win than Lyon, in this match, especially Amorim has great ambitions after failing in the domestic league, they only have hope in the European league so Amorim will prepare this match carefully.

However, even so, Lyon should not be underestimated because they are certainly also optimistic that they can beat Man United and qualify for the semifinals. Because it was seen in the previous match they were able to qualify very convincingly after they beat FCSB in the last 16 with a fantastic aggregate of 7-1.
