Almost 25 minutes played in France and Lyon are in full control of the game as Manchester United still look to find their feet in the game. It's been a slow start for the visitors as they have not really played with the for us to see what they came with. Mikautadze is making use of his side and entering into spaces, Dalot just needs to be careful because on two occasions Mikautadze has gotten the better of him while pushing into the 18 yard box.

I don't think that Manchester United has anything to offer us in this match, because it's clear that Lyon is stronger than them. T. Almada has just netted the post with a beautiful header to put Lyon  on the lead. The goal came in on the 25th minutes. Lyon is still pressuring to double their goal. Manchester United don't hold the ball but play it to Lyon player like sheeps without any direction. It is currently 1-0.

Onana would've easily punched or saved that ball from going in but he's a flop and Matic was right to say that he's the worst goalkeeper Manchester United have ever had, the only thing he knows how to do is banter words on the media but on the pitch he's useless, Manchester United needs to do something about him in this summer transfer cause many errors to goal this season have been by him failing to save cheap goals, the set piece by Almada slim chances of being saved by the defenders, Onana was the only hope in that situation but he failed to deliver. Well Bruno' setpiece has helped Manchester United to equalize at the dying minutes, Yoro directed the rebounce from the setpiece into the post with a fine header, there's still chance for Manchester United to score more goals in the 2nd half and maintain the Europea League unbeaten run.

Without Matic saying that Onana is the worst goalkeeper in Manchester United history, we already know that he is the worst goalkeeper Manchester United has ever had because since Onana became Manchester United's goalkeeper, he has committed so many blunders that have led to goals. Manchester United is trying to get back to winning silverware, and with the kind of performance Onana has shown in the past years, I believe Manchester United won't be needing Onana's services any further, so I believe Manchester United will search for Onana's replacement in the summer, which can help them play competitively and challenge for the title.

When Joshua Zirkzee scored Manchester United's last goal of the match in the 88th minute, I told my brother who's a die-hard Manchester United fan that I was watching the game with that they've secured an away victory in Lyon but trust Manchester United to always shock you when you least expected.

Like why was it a mission impossible for Ruben Amorim's men to defend a one goal lead from the 88th minute till the final whistle? I'll not be too surprised to see Lyon win them at Old Trafford in the second leg and progress to the semi finals while dumping United out of the competition.

Despite this 2:2 draw by United away from home I think that United has a fair result and should be commended because they play a very good brand of football because I was not expecting this kind of performance from United going into the second leg at home let see how the game will turn out to be because any team that wants to qualify for the next phase of the competition must win the second leg to qualify

Just because your team is not doing well, you cannot just leave if you are a true supporter, their support will serve as motivation to the players to do better. I never expected them to bottle this lead today because it was too late, they are supposed to defend that ball by all means but they failed and it ended in a draw. Lyon should be happy not to lose at home because they have no idea what the outcome will be when they visit Manchester United next week.

Seeing that Manchester United have no hope in the Premier League this season, they cannot make it to the fourth position or even top eight to secure the next season’s Europa League spot, they will try as much as they can to win the second leg match because they will have to win the Europa League to see play in the Champions League next season, and if they failed to win this Europa League, they will not play any European competition next season, maybe the Conference League who knows.

Finally Lyon are able to lead hold Manchester United very tightly to lead the game to a draw that’s they said that the football is word of surprise, could you imagine that the same time that they Manchester United are able to equalized when the Lyon was leading them by 1 goal in the die minutes of first half that’s was the exactly minutes Lyon also used to equalized back at end of die minutes of full time.

Actually I have recently been giving excuses for Andre Onana due to how bad and weak the United defence is which has been one thing that has really exposed Onana's weak side in the goalie. But tonight there's no excuse for what I watched tonight from Onana. It was a big time shitty and clueless goalkeeping  performance. The two goals conceded by United were just simple balls any good goalkeeper could save but not Onana. I think United needs to find a rotation for him next season for important games like this.

I don't know from where you got this enthusiasm after this catastrophic day where proudly saying all my expectations fall apart and the game I expected to be a draw ended up with Lazio being defeated by Bodo/Glimt and the matches were there is a favourite team, ended up with draws!
I was always afraid from UEFA Europa League and recently from Conference League
after all, even Champions League wasn't any better this week!
I know that after all I will share with you your expectations but I am no more confident than what I used to be with these teams, especially Manchester United..

Wow, the biggest underdog of this stage easily defeated the leader of the group stage. I did not see that coming. It's not just that Bodo/Glimt won, but the fact how easily they dominated Lazio, was a real surprise. Glimt had three times more shots on goal in total and six times more shots on target. Lazio looked like a shadow of itself today.

Three draws in the other games are somewhat understandable, as all those teams are on a similar level. I guess we might see a lot of drama next week.

Man utd got a good result out of this because at home they are the main favorites and this is good for them because i dont think they can lose in the second leg. Lazio on the other hand has a bad result and maybe the snow was bad for them but they need to do a lot better in the second leg

Onana cost Manchester United this match tonight. United really tried by holding to the last minute. United players thought Onana was going to catch that last minute shot that was fired at him, that's why they felt less concerned. But instead of Onana to catch the ball and put the ball to rest, he caused yet another blunder and allowed Lyon to score that late goal. Amorim would regret playing Onana tonight because the both goals he conceded would have been avoided if he did his job very well and Manchester United would have won tonight. Onana should start looking for another team, because I don't see him retaining his position as Manchester United first choice goal keeper next season.

Actually I think bayindir is even more better than Onana. sometimes I keep wondering why the Coach always choose Onana over him, because Onana is well known for making a lot of  mistakes. You did the right thing when you told your brother that Manchester United had secured a win against Lyon when Manchester United were leading Lyon by 1-2. If I were in your shoes, I would do the same thing because nobody would believe Lyon would score a goal against Manchester United in the dying minute, which would earn them a draw in this game. After Joshua Zirkzee scored a goal for Manchester United and put Manchester United ahead of Lyon, Manchester United was only left with one option of defending their goal to give themselves a big advantage of advancing to the next round of the Europa League, but Manchester United failed to do that, and they allowed Lyon to score a goal in the dying minute.

Can we say the goalkeeper Onana was nervous? This guy has been the defense and sometimes the better midfield to give out good passes for the team but when he makes mistakes that's the one some of us point out more than his good performance, let's give the goalkeeper some credit sometimes when he does well.
Let's tell ourselves the truth, Manchester United players are also the main reason why Onana has been gathering lots of goals this season. Imagine when the team is winning a game and every player are doing well, Onana will definitely do well but when some part of the squad like their positions isn't doing well and Onana has been trying and trying he'll definitely break for opposition to score, let's face the fact, this guy is trying to do better. If he's bad what then would we say about the attackers (Zirkzee and Hojlund)? They should be blamed for not acting as attackers.

I don't think Manchester United supporters need a rotation, but rather they need a replacement. Onana had the opportunity to prove Matic wrong after being called the worst goalkeeper in MU's history; he failed to do that, and now the narrative is going to stick for a long time as a consequence of it.

It is a huge shame that Manchester United could not keep the lead; luckily for them, they did not lose either.

I am a little pessimistic about Lazio chances of turning things around in the second leg, it is not easy to catch up on a 2 goal deficit even though they are playing in front of their own supporters. But I agree with your prediction regarding the chances of Manchester United, Athletic Bilbao and Eintracht Frankfurt for the second leg, all three teams have high hopes of qualifying for the semifinals.
Lazio looks like a team that is running out of energy, in Serie A they are also starting to lose points often. I would not be surprised if Lazio were eliminated, because basically the Europa League is full of surprises. This will actually be the night not to forget for Onana, for giving away free two goals to Lyon after the expectation was for Manchester United to win Lyon in the first leg, the second leg at Old Trafford, Manchester United will beat them again.

Now, the two-leg meeting are all being pressured down for Manchester United to win by all means if the team wants to reach the semi-finals of Europa, to at least have the thought that it is possible to lift the Europa League trophy, to be granted for European competition next season because of that. I wasn’t really satisfied with Manchester United in todays match, I was really expecting a better performance from Manchester United in the match, I was even thing they will be able to win the match, but they were just lucky to get a draw in the match. Lyon created more chances in the match, just that they missed most of the chances created, and are able to convert just two into goal.

It’s just better Manchester United sign a new goalkeeper, because Onana is always performing poorly when Manchester United really needs him, I was surprised that Onana couldn’t stop the two goals scored by Lyon, the second leg won’t really be easy for Manchester United, because Lyon will definitely improve their performance, they will want to get a win in the second leg, and from the way they played today, then they can achieve that.
