Apart from Manchester United game, another game that shocked me was this Tottenham team. Although on a normal circumstances, Bodoe/Glimt is not a team that can withstand a team like Tottenham but in recent time, like this season, Tottenham has been a shadow of themselves while Bodoe has actually improved and it's normal for most people to feel that, Tottenham can't beat them the way they just did today.

I expected a win from Manchester United today, but I wasn’t so confident about the win, Manchester United is not a team that we can be so confident about when playing matches, so I was expecting the match to be kind of difficult for Manchester United, but my greatest suprise today is just the way Manchester United played in the match, it was just so easy for United, and they were able to score 3 goals.

I never believed Tottenham will get a win in todays match, Tottenham performance has been so poor, and they are just losing most of their matches, I expected them to lose today also, but Tottenham surprised us in the match, they were able to score 4 goals in todays match which I never expected. I just think Manchester United, and Tottenham will be the teams that will qualify for the final.

A free scoring Bodoe/Glimt were already 3 goals down without response and were lucky enough to get one late consolation goal.

In fact, I will be surprised if Bodo / Glimt can win in this match, not that they are a bad club, but with the current quality of players, of course Tottenham are still far superior, especially if they are advantaged with home matches, so it is quite natural that their probability in the end is greater.

I know that for now Tottenham's condition in domestic competitions is in a slump but it's not too much different from Manchester United and they must also be aware that if they still want advance then in the end they must be able to win in the semi-finals and try to do their best in the final so that they can still get a Champions League ticket.

In football it is possible, just last week here we saw Manchester United actually conceding four goals in less than 30 minutes of the match against Lyon and had to rely on some individual brilliance and luck to actually get passed the Lyon team. For me it is definitely possible considering how Manchester United can easily switch off but this is a competition that they have left and I think they wouldn’t want to take chances again. Personally I think anyone that actually ruled Manchester United off this match either is doing at a point of sentiment or hate, or if the person hasn’t even been watching Manchester United play in the Europa league. This is a team built different in European competition.

Why will Tottenham match shock you? The Europa League have reached the stage which they called "jungle have matured" so their was no way I expect a team like Bodoe/Glimt to defeat Tottenham when it is obvious that the only shot Tottenham have at European competition next season is winning the Europa League title. Although I did not stand Tottenham to win because the odd was not encouraging, I bet them over 2.5 and it came through.  Tonight was a great night for bettors.

Bodo/Glimt made some blunders in their game, quite different compared to when they won against Lazio where Bodo/Glimt's tactics were very developed, they were more offensive and their accuracy was quite high. However, in this match against Tottenham, they had some difficulties when dribbling the ball towards the attack line, yes, Tottenham players have better accuracy, especially when blocking and then counter-attacking Bodo/Glimt, so they were not ready for that. And moreover, the early goal in the 1st minute by Johnson also made Bodo/Glimt's mentality start to fade.

So what are we looking at here, a very interesting Europa League final between two English teams that has been very very poor this season. I literally can't explain how this two teams managed to pull of this amazing performance in the European competition, but they've become a laughing stock in the Premier league. Now, the crazy part is, as it stands, six teams in the English premier League might be playing in the UCl next season, instead of the recent 5 slot that was approved.

I don't see Bodo Glimt and Bibao making any comeback from this. United might have a funny surprise for us as they've always done, but I think they will certainly find their way. Can't wait for the finals. And I really wish 3 English teams can win the three European title this season, but that won't be easy for Arsenal at all compared to the other two competitions.

This falls back to what I have always been saying about team form. I have been saying that most times, the form of a particular football team in their local league could be completely different in the champions league.
1. We have seen a situation that a club is fantastically good in the local league but in the champions league, they won't perform well. This happened to Barcelona under Xavi Hernandez.
2. We have also seen a situation where a team is a shadow of it's in the local league but are completely different in the European competitions. Manchester United and Tottenham are examples.

Unpredictable with Manchester United performance after defeating last match in domestic league from Wolves and today success beating Athletic Bilbao at Europe League first leg match. The victory over Athletic Bilbao 3-0 make Manchester United continue unbeaten games since phase league round until success reaching semifinal round and become the only one team in UEFA Europe League never got defeated after playing 13 games.

In other match, Tottenham Hotspur success winning the first leg match 3-1 over FK Bodø/Glimt and have confidence for second leg match will qualify to final round. Damn Man United really surprised, playing away they scored 3 goals clearly this scenario was never thought, maybe impact of the red card from the Bilbao player? It happened that things went the way of UTD because of that red card that wasn't even necessary in the first place, yes it was a penalty but how did it become a straight red card? This is another reason why I hate the use of var in some decisions, it shows that they are not working according to what they are reviewing. Wanted to see a very tough game where both teams would battle it out and not like this one man down, is frustrating. Since a draw could not happen here maybe Manchester United would try to play a draw the return leg  since they are ahead of that encounter. I believe Athletic Bilbao will definitely come out to play without minding the situation at hand after all they already lost the game but if they eventually get like 2-3 goals then the contest will be heated and Man UTD will be under pressure which we all know they are not good at enduring, all the same...a good win for the Red Devils.

This game is a very crucial game and the ref should have only given the penalty and maybe a yellow card not a red, see how messy the outcome of the game was, it killed the morela of the host team which wasn't suppose to be at least a yellow card. If Manchester United was too good they would have gotten more than the 3 goals in that encounter but I feel the return leg will be different from what we witness. The Lyon game I don't want to say but that red card call was right to me but this very one I don't agree to it, the Red Devils may have their way but I believe Athletic Bilbao will bounce back. As for Mu's performance. I only a bit disappointed when they were started, they might be down one nil if they were not lucky. However, they're getting better when it comes to the second half. It is a shocked defeat for Athletic Bilbao and it is more shocked because it happened at their home stadium. Manchester United did had an amazing match and this big win in Spain nearly gives them a ticket to the final match. Their task in a second match in Old Trafford stadium is very easy, nail it with a draw and go to the final match.

Athletic Bilbao had an unbelievable bad match and it is completely different than their general performances in UEFA Europa League this season, it's their terrible day but its effects are big and truly harm their chances to beat Manchester United in an aggregated result. A loss against Bilbao with 2 goals difference is still ok for them. They are 3 goals ahead, but Bilbao experienced against Manchester United what Roma experienced against Bilbao. That red card was such a hard decision. It wasn't a wrong decision because rules say if the referee gives that penalty and the defender prevented the striker from taking a blatant chance for a goal, he has to show him the red card.

This whole timing after conceding that first goal and then the waiting time until the referee finally made his decision in the worst way possible for Bilbao, it had to be over for them. I think it is impossible to recover from such a shocking 5 minutes during a game where so much is at stake.

The game in Manchester has to be played, but this is screaming for a miracle or else there is no way for Bilbao to make up for this. Manchester United came back against Lyon within just a few minutes and maybe that evokes some hope, but they will definitely need a few days to digest what happened here.

I was not prepared to see Manchester United's performance against Athletic Bilbao. This is the best match Manchester United has played this season. Manchester United played brilliantly. Seeing Manchester United's performance in this match, I felt that Manchester United wants to win the Europa League title and qualify for the Champions League by any means.

This was Athletic Bilbao's home match. So it was difficult for United to play well. Even then, Manchester United won the match by dominating.
