With Manchester United and Tottenham success in reaching the final, the Europa League looks less competitive. It's hard to accept but that's the reality, Manchester United and Tottenham journey this season has surprised and amazed many people, they are like different teams when competing in the Europa League. In the last few seasons, there have been many surprises in the Europa League.

Based on experience, Manchester United is indeed more worthy of being the favorite than Tottenham, their efforts to reach the final are much harder, while Tottenham are lucky to have an easier path. It would be very sad if Manchester United loses, Ruben Amorim will risk everything to win the trophy. Looking at the condition of the team, it seems that both managers can field their best starting XI.

I am having the same feeling though because Tottenham Hotspur has won Manchester united about 2-3 times this season in a row and so winning them again in the finals won't be that easy if at all they will win though Barcelona did same time to Real Madrid this season and I am still shocked to see that happened.

You have to keep in mind that it is the final so here Tottenham Hotspur can do everything. But when the context comes with the Premier League matches, this team looks very weak because yesterday they had a very tragic defeat against the Crystal Palace team. In this match, we observed that Tottenham Hotspur made a huge change against Crystal Palace after they secured a place in the Europa League final. Tottenham Hotspur's behavior proves that they may not be very interested in the Premier League right now, moreover everyone should be open to seeing the incredible performance of this team.

I was expecting Real Madrid to correct there mistake in yesterday game and use that opportunity to advance in the table but after scoring two first, Barcelona came from behind and win them I mean that was crazy and that was so unlike Real Madrid and I doubt if this particular one is Ancelote's fault.

Barcelona showed everyone a high-quality performance that was a real obstacle for Real Madrid. Frankly my full support in that match was on Real Madrid when Kylian Mbappe hat -trick. I also think it was crazy because Barcelona has set a record for winning the most El Clasicos in a single season.

Yes that is true and you won't blame them because some times in life we just have to focus on the reality before us as a person and the reality in this case for both United and Tottenham is that they are not getting results in the premier League and should focus more on the Europa League which is the lst hope for a silver wear this season plus you are guaranteed a champions league place next season which to me any of the two teams that becomes champions of the Europa League has achieved much more than arsenal which is in second place in the premier League with out any trophy this season

Few years ago, when Tottenham were going to play the Champions League final against Liverpool, everybody was sure that the Reds would easily win and well, they did win but it was not an easy match, at all. I don't see this to be honest. Manchester United are better than Tottenham in terms of what? Their conditions are both bad in domestic competitions where Tottenham are currently in 17th position and Manchester United are 1 level above them in 16th position with a difference of 1 point so in this case they are comparable.

In terms of h2h, Manchester United facing Tottenham is actually not too good where in the last 5 matches even Mancheester United can only win 1 draw and 4 defeats so what makes Manchester United a better club than Tottenham at the moment?



I don't feel that Mancechster United are superior to the current conditions even though their chance to win is clearly very much there because indeed maybe the consideration is to the big name and previous experience but that does not guarantee now because everything can still happen including in the race for the trophy this time.

You are right. The two teams that qualified for the Europa League final are at the bottom of the Premier League table. We have never seen such a scene before. Another important thing is that these two teams have not won any of their last 5 Premier League matches. In fact, both teams have lost four of their last 5 matches. Their performances are similar.

Manchester United is ahead in every aspect. Manchester United's squad is stronger than Tottenham's. Also, Amorim is quite good as a coach. I would even say that Manchester United has qualified for the Europa League final due to Amorim's sole efforts. And Amorim wants to win the title by any means. I want to rely on Amorim. I wish Manchester United victory.

I agree with you, finals are always difficult and unpredictable matches. Although Tottenham and Manchester utd are pretty bad in the league, in the Europa League they have given their best performances so far, so I think it will be a pretty balanced match.

I know it is tempting to take their league performances into account here when possible outcomes of this game are discussed, but I believe that the league performances don't count in a final. It wouldn't be the first time that a team that is doing bad in the league is showing a different face in a final.

This is still kind of special because there are two Premier League clubs with great names in the European football landscape, both played a horrible season in the domestic league and reached the final in the EL and can now qualify for the CL. I think that is quite a unique set up. Sometimes one team is making it to the EL final while playing not that well in the league, but these two teams are 16th and 17th and one of them ends up in the CL next season. That is unbelievable!

Man, sorry but h2h doesn't matter in european competition. I remind you when Chelsea often lost to the Arsenal in the league, but they won UEL by beating Arsenal 4-1. I'm stick in the same scenario that happened to the Manchester United.
Their performance is crap in the league, and can be considered as the worst. However, they have equal chance to win UEL or a bit higher.

We know so well the history of MU in european competition. I'd not judge them based on their h2h against Tottenham. Better to stick on the reality to happen soon.

I still have my trust for MU, though people underrated them at this moment. They have enough prep to face Tottenham.

Yes, this is quite surprising for all of us, because the teams that qualified for the Europa League final are weak teams from the English league. But what can we do because in reality that is what is happening right now. So we just need to enjoy it carefully. In addition, in the previous season in the Europa League there was an unexpected surprise, namely the teams that entered the final were also unexpected. Because the teams that entered the final in the previous season were Atalanta and Leverkusen and I personally did not expect that these two teams would enter the final. Obviously nobody expected 15th and 16th of Premier league to be here, and that is a once in a life time situation, wouldn't happen again. And that doesn't mean premier league is great, not like "oh premier league is so good that 15th of it could win it" type of deal, if that was the case then premier league would win cups everywhere all the time, but they are not.

Chelsea got lucky, with it's huge huge size, they still ended up with conference league, so of course they will win that unless betis shocks the whole world, and England will take Europa league no matter who wins, but look at how they are at UCL, nowhere to be found. So long story short, we do not see a game like this ever again, not in a same league situation, but we will never see 15th or lower from ANY league to be at the finals again, not for a long long time, maybe ever.

I do not think such an approach is worthy of any team that will play in the final, you can not just give up the fight in the domestic championship just because you hope to win in another tournament. People forget how quickly stories fall apart when tournament football starts to twisting. Speaking about surprises, though, we need to separate "emotionally unexpected" from "statistically improbable". If you only look at the EPL table, Tottenham reaching the final could seem crazy; yet, their Europa League performance? Manchester United has been scoring 35 goals in 14 games but has been conceding 18. Yes, Bruno has been crucial with 7 goals, but they have also survived Onana's 9 mistakes this season. They have lived off late goals and impact subs (Mount vs. Athletic, Mainoo vs. Lyon)

The thing that makes United strong is also their biggest weakness: they are hard to predict. Spurs might simply be boringly solid, their route to a victory. If there's a surprise, it might be that the "chaotic" loser doesn't win this time

If the Champions League was to be transferred to the Europa League, Manchester United and Tottenham would probably not be in the finals. Because they are in really bad shape this year, but they made it to the final because there are very few teams that can compete with them in the Europa League. In the final, one of these two teams will be the champions and England will have 6 representatives in the UCL next year. Winning the Europa League and participating in the Champions League is also a dream for the great team because they are currently just above the relegation zone in the Premier League table.

If i remember correctly, whoever wins the Europa League goes straight to the Champions League, so for a pair there's much more to it than just the Europa League cup, there's a ticket to the future.

That is what Amorim bets on, because that is the only way this season could make the next season better. Finishing with 15th place and no UCL next season would mean a lot worse result for them, they would not be anywhere, I mean even if they were at Europa when they lose the final, they would be happy with that, but the only way to be in UEFA next season is win this finals.

If they can actually win this finals, then we are going to see how troublesome their transfer period will be, they need some great players because the current squad is terrible and they overpaid for so many players that they can't just sell them neither, what are they going to do sell Antony for 20 million after they paid 80 for him? UEFA Europe League final most important match for both teams as target reach for qualifying to Champion League next season and one opportunity left between Manchester Unite or Tottenham Hotspur after finishing outside from European spot standings position.
Indeed poor performance in domestic league, the final most interested and beautiful match for both team specially how Manchester United create unbeaten record in Europe League. This isn't Liverpool and that of Tottenhams case that seasons champions league, It was obvious then that Liverpool was way super in form than Tottenham and after that they lost the champions league final against Real Madrid the previous season and we also watched them defeat Barcelona 4 -0 that season. Now this is two English team side that has this as their only trophy hope and for both teams, I can't rate one ahead of the other this particular season looking at their performances so far this season, it's a win-win chances for the two teams.

We will watch a final match that will be considered equal for both teams. Because their situations in the Premier League are almost the same. Although Manchester United have been superior in some matches, Tottenham has been the better team in most matches they have played against them. We can watch a similar scenario in the final and they may be superior, but we should not forget that this is a final and Amorim will be very well prepared for it. One of the two teams will win and six teams from England will go to the Champions League. I think this is what should be talked about.
