This was probably the worst final i’ve watched in the last 10 years. Congratulations to Tottenham, but this was a disaster. The goal was pure luck, and after that, they didn’t have a single serious attack to threaten Man Utd. But Man Utd, who were attacking the entire second half, couldn’t score  and not only that, they couldn’t even deliver a decent cross. That goal line clearance was impressive, but if we look at how Højlund headed the ball, we’ll agree it was weak. In the end, that shot from Casemiro summed up the whole match. All in all, a complete disaster, but full credit to Tottenham.

That means you didn't watch the 2019 UEFA Champions League final between Liverpool Vs Tottenham if you claim this is the worst final you've watched in the last 10 years. Tottenham did their part, got the important goal and sat back, two or three times Tottenham attacked but they defended more and solidly to deny Manchester United. This is another prove that playing well without scoring wins you absolutely nothing. Amongst the two teams, Manchester United were the better team in terms of play but Tottenham did the needful that's why they are Champions today.

I am also very frustrated with this result, how could they lose to Tottenham Hotspur? Spurs only played defensively and only made a few counterattacks, while Manchester United continued to press Spurs' defense, but not a single shot from Man United players managed to rip Spurs' goal. From 16 attempts at shooting and 6 shots on target, with more than 70% possession, how could Spurs withstand the pressure and attacks made by Man United players.

I still can't accept the defeat experienced by Man United, and maybe this wound will continue to scar for a long time. and with this defeat, then for next season we will not see Man United appear in any European league competition, be it UECL, UEL or UCL.

It just seems like Manchester United has already come to the end of their football career because since when I started watching football, I have never seen Tottenham with a Europa trophy, although they said they had some in history, but I have already put it at the back of my mind that Tottenham will never be able to win against Manchester United in the finals, even though in the games, Manchester United played better than them, but all that is useless as they were not able to put a smile on their supporters' faces but ended up making us have a bad day.

Tottenham literally made one shot on target and that was enough to win. Well done to them, I guess. Apparently it has been 17 years since they won any trophy. Despite their horrible league position (17th place, just above the relegation zone) they will play in the Champions League next season.

Tottenham were fortunate to win this game while they show a sense of fear by how their players were acting they defended well and Van de Ven did a great job to deliver a goal line clearance which I think would have turn the tide around for United favor. Although, at that point I knew Tottenham came prepared and serious for the game and that they may likely win it, and which they did eventually.

I don't think people fully realise how bad this loss is for Man United. For one of the biggest and wealthiest clubs in the Premier League, finishing 16th, not winning any trophy and not qualifying for any European cup is an absolute disaster and will hurt them financially. I hope they bounce back.

Manchester United are in a sense of financial danger especially from the way Jim Ratcliffe spoke about the final and how they would celebrate if they won it but unfortunately his approach was demoralizing, and I'm curious what he will do now. Anyway, they will try to offload some players and possibly cut  wages of some players, I know back stage staff would be cut out since he stated it already.

There is not much I can say because in terms of quality the match was very boring. I think with enough time Man United must have had special preparations. But in fact they did nothing!

No doubt mate, no doubt. Manchester United took a page out of Arsenal’s play book and ended up in the same way like Arsenal while, Tottenham did better both of them this season.

I see the term managed to win their as it’s stated and I’m not very comfortable with it, given the fact that this was an European finals. Do they manage to win at this point of a league… even a defensive play is very much a difficult to manage strategy you know. Just a single goal difference and these guys did defend quite perfectly.

If only Kane was still with the team, he would have been so happy with this trophy and medal for honors.

What a strange final we are about to watch in a few hour's for two teams that have performed poorly in the domestic league. And whatever happens, a winner will be produced with Tottenham having the head to head stats stacked in their favour, but United has been that team in Europe that has remained unbeaten and they might want to keep this going as the duel is 50/50 and the team that wants it the most will carry the day..

And playing from a neutral stadium 🏟️, it's also about the 12th player rallying behind their teams.. otherwise am siding with United .

tottenham haven't won a trophy for years, let's see if they can break the curse tonight. manchester united are the favorites but i see their chances of winning as 50/50 on paper. i want to place a bet on this match, but i need a little more time.

what i don't expect is that the odds are more likely to favor 2.5 under goals than 2.5 over goals. in a match like this i would expect a more goal-laden affair. so i think i'll take the 2.5 over goals bet. any thoughts?

In this kind of match it is difficult to predict who wins as the both teams are underperforming in their individual league. And we can say they have equal strength this season. 40%, 40% winning rates and 20% chances of draw.

However one thing is certain in this match. The both team will want to score so there is every possibility of BTS happening. This is the only comfortable odds to bet, under/over 2.5 seems too risky.

The duel between 2 mediocre teams at the bottom of the Premier League standings met in the final and really made us sleepy while watching it. There was no excitement, honestly I feel sorry for Manchester United and their fans, eh apparently a chicken can kick the red devil into the abyss of hell. A sick team that can't be saved, they have sacrificed everything this season by giving up their pride in the Premier League, in the European League undefeated in the group stage but in the final they seemed to have lost their way.

There is no inspiration and motivation from this united side watching this game is making me to regret it because this match is not up to the level of a final this game is boring to watch but nice one for Tottenham for scoring this has given them an edge over Tottenham in this game.

I agree with you because Manchester United didn't play like people who want to level up with Tottenham Hotspur in the second half; they were just passing the ball around themselves without penetrating Tottenham Hotspur's defense to create good chances of scoring back and maybe taking the match into extra time. It is so painful that Manchester United missed out on lifting the UEFA Europa League trophy tonight and missed out on booking a spot in next season's UEFA Champions League competition.

It's a shame that Manchester United went all the way unbeaten to be beaten by Tottenham in the final. I just knew there is something about Manchester United this season that is not right and if they should win a trophy this season the board and Manager would probably not see it as a problem. From stats and head to head Tottenham Hotspur had better stats and have won every game against them this season so that means they were clearly better.  

A big disappointment for Manchester United club, they will even regretted why they even reach the final in the Europa League. Upon all the efforts they put in right from the beginning of the league which make all fans was even happy that even though didn’t get any they can put hope for the Europa League, but didn’t make happen they lose guard; as it stands now there’s know UCL for Manchester United next season.

Manchester United did fight well and did all they could but wasn't enough to break Tottenham defense. A big congratulations to Tottenham as they finally win a trophy after a long 17 years without winning a trophy. Congrats to the manager and the players it was well deserved.

Tottenham really came prepared to win this trophy that’s why even the Manchester United dominated possession both the first half and second they feel anything, there only focus to play their game in other to achieve there goals, and indeed they make it happen which was a great achievement: after they ended Manchester United 17 years awaiting a trophy.

congratulations to Tottenham hotspots for winning this year's Europa League title they deserve it coming all the ways to the final of this competition is not an easy one with this trophy i can say that there season can be celebrated even though they did poorly at the league they will be playing in the champions League next season that is what matters the most.



Disappointing result for United as they performed below expectations from their fans this season was a poor one for United because I expected that United will win so that they can salvage their season united will have to try next season but will not be playing in Europe

Manchester United supporters are very furious with the coach because they expected a better performance from them in this finals which should have been the trophy that they should have won considering how good they have been in this competition. Now that they have lost, I've listened to some few supporters complain about the lack of tactical ability of the coach because from what they saw and the observation he really approached this game with mentality for his players to cross the ball into the penalty box and for his other players to try to score which did not work.

Congratulations to Tottenham and the coach who has giving Tottenham something to celebrate after so many years.

They ended Tottenham's 17-year cup drought today against Manchester United and they did it with a single shot on target.

Although the overall viewing pleasure of the match was low, Tottenham deserved this match.

It seems that Spurs manager "Ange Postecoglou" really proved what he said before the UEFA Europa League final against Manchester United, where he said that "I usually win trophies in my second season" and whether it was a coincidence, but he really proved it.

And with this trophy, Spurs' long wait for 17 years without winning any title is over, and so is Son Heung-min's wait who for 10 years playing for Spurs did not win any trophy, so congratulations to son for his first trophy. and a little wider, maybe this is a coincidence, that in the same season, harry kane who had played for spurs for a long time and moved to bayern muncih, in this season kane also managed to break his curse and win his first trophy in the bundesliga.

Oh no, Tottenham Hotspur really became a nightmare for Manchester United, their unbeaten record was broken in the final match. When in the first half Manchester United had to be behind by one goal against Spurs, I still had hope that the second half would belong to Manchester United. And yes, it was true that the second half in injury time really belonged to Manchester United, they continued to press Spurs' defense, but unfortunately their defense was very tight and their goal performed very well, even the kicks and headers that were so piercing could still be pinned by G. Vcario.

a match full of emotion, and I was really quite annoyed with the Spurs players, because they did a lot of drama to waste time. But even so, congratulations on the victory achieved by Tottenham Spurs, and congratulations on the first trophy for Son. What a very painful goal.

Johnson's first half goal became a nightmare for Manchester United and now they won't appear in any European Cup competition next season, what a disappointment for Amorim in his first season with Manchester United, he was almost close to winning a title for the club but the stigma of Tottenham's previous wins could not allow United to shine despite all their efforts to equalized the score but it proved abortive. Now, I understand Manchester United's problem, the players lack goal scoring mentality if not why will they dominate the match and couldn't equalize the score. Amad didn't play anything in today's game, he made quite some numbers of mistakes. Tottenham became the lucky side in the end and am happy for Son winning an European title at last, at least he has achieved a trophy just as his former teammate Harry Kane got a trophy at Bayern Munich. Congratulations to Spurs, they have now gained automatic qualification to the Champions League next season.

It Is indeed a bad season for Amorim and not just for Amorim but for the entire club as a whole, imagining playing unbeaten till finals and then losing it out to another team and again not just another team but rather a team that has won them 3 times in a row this season, this is just like Barcelona and Real Madrid this season. If not for Luke shaw they would not have scored but it was a mistake and I will blame Amorim for losing this match, he should not have started with Amad and he would have sub Hujlud and Mason Mount long ago and put Garnacho and Zirkzee, anyone who watch the match will confirm the heat and pressure Garnacho brought when he entered and I think Amad is a second half player.

So Manchester United went unbeaten all through the competition to the finals only to be beaten when they needed this win most. Manchester United actually played good in the game, but it's proven again, playing good gets you nothing untill you do the most important thing which is to score. They did everything in the game except to score a goal.

IMHO, they didn't play well. It's like when they saw Tottenham, they thought they were playing the premier league and they reverted back to their default mode. They didn't play like the hungry team we saw against Bilbao, Lyon or Real Sociedad. They were just passing the ball around without any clear idea of what to do with it. When they saw the tactics wasn't working, they'd have resorted to crosses and shots, but they didn't do so until the 90th minute.

Totally agree, Tottenham deserve the game and the trophy, Amad showed himself in the first half but almost totally disappeared in the second half with less threats coming from his wing. Casemiro that's has never lost an European final in his career finally lost one today and that's all thanks to Manchester United while Onana still held on to his record for losing all the European competition finals his played so far. Congratulations to Tottenham a very big one to them, it really meant a lot to them and their fans.

I agree with you is not the worst finals because it was as fun as every finals will be but it was wrong on the side of Manchester United because all there serious efforts was at the last minutes when there is no time. Did you see what happened on the last minute between Casemiro and Garnacho?, it was a bad calculation from Casemiro, wasn't he aware that Garnacho has already keeping himself on the motion to strike as the ball approached a little further to him and all of a sudden Casemiro decided to take the short instead and it went very wrong because there wasn't even a close scoring.

A curse… not really with Harry Kane. He’s been playing for a team that haven’t hit what it took to win a major trophy. Tottenham haven’t been a very bad team but, they had better in Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City in the premier league. They just weren’t able to beat that and so, their long wait was on and so was Harry Kane. I can’t help the feeling that his missing in that photograph. He won a trophy as well though but, not as much prestigious as the Europa league trophy.

Manchester United has not been doing well since the beginning of this season so any of there fans that was actually expecting them to win this match was actually making a big mistake although Tottenham has not also being doing well but all the same they really deserve this win.
The final was there last hope  for qualifying for UCL next season however it has been shattered, all the same congrats to the champ.

That's because Manchester United were awful. Most of the chances they created came from crosses. They couldn't string passes together and create clear-cut chances for the strikers, they just kept crossing the ball. When you play like that, you're hoping on luck nd not tactics. Tottenham was not good, they were just lucky to face a team like United that doesn't know how to play football. Always raising the ball up instead of finding ways to break the defence.

It was a very boring final. Both teams played absolute rubbish. The first half was so boring till Tottenham scored while the second half was just Tottenham close to their box while UNited where spamming crosses inside.

This loss makes United's position even more painful for the fans. Winning the Europa league would have salvaged the horrible season they're having, but now with no European football next season and finishing 16th, they are now back to reality.
The worst thing about not qualifying for European football is that they wont be able to sign top players. With how they struggle financially and now with no European football, I don't see them making big signings this summer. This can be a good thing because they need to sit down and start from the beginning.

In the final Manchester United were unlucky they played too offensively but still it could not make them win or convert goals when chances occurred... this is sad after they were unbeaten in the Europa League and had to run aground in the final with Tottenham who were initially doubted to win this UEL.
Manchester United must be a nightmare again, after a bad Premier League and now bad, they don't get any fall except changing fate in the coming season.
