Voided sportbetting freebets are not refunded. Why?

This has happened to me twice now. lol The first time was on Sportsbet.io. I used my freebet on correct score (long) tennis bet and then one of the players retired, which mean the my freebet bet was voided. The second time was on FortuneJack, where I received $25 freebet and placed it on NBA bet builder. And this happens, one of the players was ruled out it was Joel Embiid, which mean the freebet again was also voided. Since these were freebets, they became completely useless and not refunded.

Good thin Sportsbet.io gave me some free bets as compensation or consideration, although not much compare to possible amount that I should have won, but I still appreciated what they gave to me.

My question is, why online casino don't return the freebet when it is voided? Compare to regular bet that if bet is voided the amount you placed will return to your balance.

Some casinos may return it to you, but it is just because it is a personal decision on their part. Most of the casinos may decide not to go that way and not refund freebies. It boils down to personal decision, and it is just business.

Non-refunds means, they don't get to lose money which is what casinos avoid. Freebets are like them losing when it is awarded. Money is leaving their account if the receiver wins. For regular bets, you can hold them and call their attention to it if they don't refund. They even have a policy on refund of voided bets.

If this is how it is, that is another way of knowing that casino does not care about customers making money through gambling but care more of ways to let people gamble on their sites. If it is me, I would not mind at all. There are even some bonuses that I forgot to use. But it would have been better for the gambling site to reward the customer with another free bet in my opinion.

Every steps they might be taking concerning this will be to their own advantages, they know that allowing for multiple entries for the use of the bonus given will only place them the more of risk of loosing that when we are only having a single attempt for trials over playing a particular game, be it voided or not, we are done with that single entry and not that we keep on the count for the various attempts made at their own risk.

You are not the only one who experience this but mine is soccer game and the game was abandoned due to reason I really don't know why but for that particular game I played it twice one with the freebet and the one with my real money was parley selection in which I added some other soccer games with the particular one that was voided although the bet I placed with the real money was recalculated and the winning was no longer the same as the initial first time but the single game played with the freebet just vanished no refunds whatsoever.

It's obvious that it's free, coming from casinos, so they have the right as well to void it or even cancel and not return your freebet. I know it sounds unfair since you have been playing on their platform and possible that you have lost a lot of money on them. But they are in the business of making money so they won't give you another chance to make money out of them. So it's not a privilege to have this freebets in my opinion. But if it's your own money, then you should be refunded.

Those freebets are rewards, if they decide not to give out still can't do nothing about it but to be cleared it's best you keep moving on and worry less, it would have been a problem if they tried such with funds deposited  directly from your pocket.

Even I would get frustrated if my free bets got voided because it feels wasted like being given an opportunity only for it to go to waste in the end. The only right they will have is because they would have included reasons the free bet can be voided in their terms and conditions. But if the gambler does nothing wrong, they do not have the right to cancel it.

According to sportsbets.io's terms, they will not return your free bets on the event of void bet. So, it's fair for them to not return your free bets, while casinos that didn't state this are supposed to return your free bets.

If the casinos not return the free bets, they're just trying to make people not able to make profit from free bets and many gamblers mostly don't mind as long as the casinos not take the real money.

Check the terms of those bookies and maybe that's in their rules that they won't be refunding if the bet that was voided just came from free bets.

Regular bets definitely are worthy to be refunded but with such free bets, that's why probably they're not honored at most times. As apocollapse have mentioned for sportsbet.io, you're in luck that they have refunded you with another free bet.

But the majority of them are likely the same in terms of no refund for free bets.

This seems like a situation where the platform just wasn’t prepared to handle this possibility. They gave you free bets and then the bets didn’t pan out for you. I think given enough time and going through the right channels would eventually get you another chance. But this is more of a testament to customer service.

They have to refund bets from deposits, with free-bets it is different, no deposits were made and the free-bet window for that round or week must have been past already.
This is a minor inconvenience. Voided games do not happen very often.

This seems like a situation where the platform just wasn’t prepared to handle this possibility.

Most of them have rules which says that in case of voided matches the free-bet will not be refunded.

What Rruchi man said seems correct to me. You are lucky sportsbet cared enough to give you another shot. This should show you that they value you as a player and hope to retain you and you continually use their platform.

Freebets usually come with terms and conditions, and I think the best people in position to give you a proper answer to this question are the customer care of this respective casinos you've had this experience with, they are in the best position to explain to you why they didn't give you back the free bet they gave you when the bet was voided.

But then again, like I initially said, Freebets, and not just this but majorly every bonus coming from a casino to the player comes with terms and contions, and maybe one of the terms and conditions of this free bets states that once used, it's used, and can't be returned to you even if the game you spent the free bet on gets voided.

This is what I think is the reason, but then, only the customer care of the casino or someone with better experience can tell the real reason why.

It's a free bet, I think that's all the explanation there is. Good thing Sportsbet still gave you some compensation because some would not. I have not experienced this kind of incident even before because most of the time I use my free bets on team bets which means a void will only happen if the weather is bad or something goes wrong within the game, like an emergency thing.
I guess the lesson here is not to put the bet on a player or something that has a chance of being voided. There are many options to bet and it's better if we use it wisely since there's no getting it back once we use it.

I don't think you need to pay much attention to freebies. In any case, these are not your funds. This is a bonus or a gift, call it what you want. But the one who gives you a gift determines its rules. We can't influence this in any way. Of course, many would like more freebies and with better conditions. But it is much better to develop your own strategy and gaming system, so as not to depend on the whims of online casinos and bookmakers. Free bet is in any case only a part of marketing. The casino/bookmaker should decide what to do with voided free bets. I agree that most casinos should give the gambler a second chance, by returning the free bet, after it was voided, because the gambler has no fault about certain events, that happened during a sports match.
If there are sports betting platforms, that return voided free bets, more gamblers would choose to spend their money on such platforms, rather than betting on the platforms, that don't return voided free bets. A casino/sports betting platform should do whatever it can to gather more gamblers.

Freebet is not the money as it. That`s why you always get your money back. With freebets casino don`t care about it - they have no any responsibility for it.

I think it would be fair to split freebet as a gift and freebet for achievement. If you got i gift - you just lose it, but if it was some kind of reward - it would be fair to return it. The gambler worked for it and it would be fair to return the reward.
