I've never seen it either and it seems like this is very difficult to make happen. buying soda or snacks with bitcoin or popular crypto such as ETH or BNB is very difficult to realize because the prices fluctuate and there are still few people who know about crypto. buying things with your favorite crypto is much more difficult because it is likely that everyone's favorite crypto is different.
Yes, there will be a difference in the preferred currency for users due to gas fees during payment, and as you know, there are many networks that provide different options, so machines that accept different networks for payment will be distinguished from others. I think Bitcoin lovers will love paying via the LN.

This is like being inspired by a beverage vending machine that can choose what drink to buy as you want and like in Crypto which has Bitcoin and many altcoins that can be chosen to buy. Read several articles explaining that Crypto 'Vending Machines' may be realized and not only for the purchase of crypto coins but also to buy NFTs available in the Crypto 'Vending Machines'. Machines like these could be a place to buy crypto easily, but it's about how regulations will regulate them just like Bitcoin ATMs are spread across countries with strict regulations and even many Bitcoin ATM machines are no longer in use. https://hackernoon.com/exploring-crypto-vending-machines-physical-machines-dispensers-and-autonomous-agents

What do you think? Will crypto vending machines become a reality soon? Or are they a distant dream?
This will eventually happen because there are vending machine users or patrons that are also cryptocurrency holders, so they will likely recommend this idea to vending machine operators; they may even create a copyright for the model. If there are demands, the market will listen, and its only a matter of time before this becomes a reality. The cryptocurrency is evolving, so expect many good things to happen.

I didn't know there was already a crypto vending machine in 2014. What I don't like is the ID verification process when using it (based on the article quoted). This greatly defeats the whole purpose of crypto. Same as Bitcoin ATMs. If we want to use crypto as "cash", companies should be able to provide the ability to buy their products without any KYC. You'd just pay at a crypto vending machine with a coin of your choice in an anonymous manner. We'll see how regulators will react once this is implemented at a large scale. I sure hope we'd be able to use crypto anywhere to avoid Fiat completely. I mean, that's the goal right?

Yes, that's the reality, but the vending machine is just a prototype that has not been perfected and is only virtual, but I don't know whether the physical form has been commercialized or not. But it is a little contrary to the decentralization and anonymity of crypto because it uses ID verification as an identifier to be able to use the machine like a Bitcoin ATM that has been widely used, but it is left alone. We'll see how regulators will react once this is implemented at a large scale. I sure hope we'd be able to use crypto anywhere to avoid Fiat completely. I mean, that's the goal right? Either this Crypto vending machine project was developed or not and it is indeed needed for novice buyers or just as a destination to introduce Crypto in a different way. Goals that can really be achieved with regulations and rules that are in accordance with crypto and of course also approved by countries that support crypto. It's only a matter of time and now technology is also developing very quickly.

Will it be possible to use your favorite crypto to buy soda or snacks from a vending machine? I haven't seen a real world example of this, but it would be cool to have such a thing. This would only work on coins with large network capacity (low fees and fast confirmations), though. I think Solana, Tron, Litecoin, and Dogecoin would be the ideal payment methods for vending machines. What do you think? Will crypto vending machines become a reality soon? Or are they a distant dream? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. This would really be great, but people tend to see crypto as an investment not as a currency, so maybe if it does happen the crypto that would be most used are those who are stable coins like USDT and USDC. And if it does happen I think soda and snacks would only be the beginning, cause for sure any vending machine would adopt and accept crypto.

I can't waste my Bitcoin or Solana on buying snacks or drinks when I can do that with a stable coins. Any volatile coins is not advisable for purchasing food using venting machine because the price can appreciate anytime. I believe in the potential of these coins and I would not want to spend money that can appreciate with more profits over a period of time than sending it to an unknown vending machine wallet while paying extra charges on it when I can easily use fiat to purchase any drink that I like.

While not mainstream yet, similar innovations are emerging in crypto payment technologies. Companies are increasingly exploring novel ways to integrate cryptocurrencies into everyday transactions. The dream isn't distant it's developing, but this still is consider as a sophisticated user thing, so i can see the vision materializing in the future.

Can implement as payment in multi networks because everyone has personal choice to make payment in their favorite coins, like if we buying soda or snacks and we have only two option as like Bitcoin and Ethereum, that's really difficult to many peoples, because transaction fees will be higher than your buying products price, so need less fees payment method.

In general, most see Bitcoin or Solana as an investment for the long-term, rather than a future payment method (currency). Conversely, USDT or USDC is designed to be stable. They ca be used to buy snacks, coffee, etc. If you spend a volatile asset on small expenses, it often feels like as if you have missed your chance if the coin mooned later. At the same time, paying with crypto for the smallest things and vending machines also advances its usability. I'd suggest you use stablecoins for immediate transactions, save volatile ones with potential, and use Fiat in places where crypto is not accepted (you can use a crypto debit card for that). It all depends on your convenience as well as thoughts to use your crypto.

Both, on their main chains, are not that good for daily transactions. But one has vibrant L2's for that, and the other - not as many tools for such activity. But I agree, it's a personal preference.

Crypto vending machines are simpler to operate and they effectively carrying out crypto operations. What do we purchase that will take longer time to transact? Cryptocurrency is here and have come to stay, witnessing whole difference when you pay in crypto and also having some sort of sense of comfort, because it's very fast and reliable. However making payment in different volatility coin, what do we expect? That's why stable coins are originated to keep every transaction stable. Buying some groceries with crypto is one of the measurable methods to noticed about the advanced path of crypto in our current days.

What do you think? Will crypto vending machines become a reality soon? Or are they a distant dream? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. With what happened in the last ten years in the cryptocurrency industry, anything is possible; we never know if one company is creating a concept about crypto vending machines; if there's a demand, there will be manufacturers who will be willing to take the risks to create something like this. I'll support something like this and its likely to start on countries where crypto adoption and technology flourish. Currently the acceptance and prosperity of satisfied currency and use is increasing continuously. In some countries where crypto currency is becoming related and popular, concerns like satisfactory banding machines are likely to be implemented if the structure in technology and law is properly prepared, it can be the beginning of a kind of new era where people can do it. It’s not far away I think because the world is getting much better and in developed countries I think it’s possible. This was so many years ago we couldn’t even think of making payment online but we currently pay through mobile banking online. Just like that in a few years, we may also be shopping with cryptocurrency.

Stablecoins will do the trick. But vendors would need to make sure the vending machine has constant access to the Internet. Otherwise, how would transactions be verified on the Blockchain? It's one of the few limitations of such an implementation. Considering that some countries lack Internet access, it's going to take a long time before we see mainstream adoption for crypto vending machines increase at a large scale worldwide. At least, we know crypto is the future of money. Who knows? Maybe crypto vending machines will render their Fiat counterparts obsolete. One can only imagine...

not really a lot of countries lack internet access these days it’s 2025 we have evolved and so does many countries if they do not have internet access i do not think they would be even needing ATMs or anything like that so i don’t think this is such a concern in fact if this were to happen i am sure that many countries can provide it’s just a matter of interest

What about African countries such as Kenya and Nigeria? Do they have widespread Internet access? I doubt it. But if they do, then nothing should stop crypto from growing there. Vending machines accepting crypto payments are just the "tip of the iceberg". Imagine paying for train tickets, plane tickets, and even a taxi with crypto. It might eliminate the need for Fiat in its entirety. I'm yet to see a real implementation of a crypto vending machine in the US. I'd bet it will accept stablecoins to eliminate "volatility issues". I sure hope no KYC is required. Otherwise, what use would they be to privacy-oriented crypto users?
