Real Madrid should be really upset about this bad defensive line. Were Benfica a stronger team than Real Madrid? Not at all but they played great in this match. Jose eventually returned to UEFA Champions League with Benfica but it does not from his performances with Benfica last season. It's from an appointment as a head coach replacement after Benfica sacked a previous coach, and gave this opportunity to Jose Mourinho. He did not have first good matches with Benfica but with time he has improved Benfica performances a lot and this important match with Real Madrid shows all about his management quality for Benfica.
