The Champions League results are very different from La Liga where the competition is so tight that it is difficult to predict and is dedicated evenly. I said that Benfica's match and victory were extraordinary, the game displayed was far from the precision between Barcelona vs Real Madrid in La Liga.

I never knew Benfica needed that win to qualify for the play offs otherwise, I shouldn't have gone ahead to play Real Madrid to win that game with Benfica at home and with the help of their home fans. Right before the game during the press conference, Jose Mourinho was already having a psychological fight with the Madrid manager and he won at the end. Great!

Now we all know which teams are in the top 8. I actually didn't expect Liverpool to make it to the top 8 because they lost to Bournemouth in their last EPL match. But now, after completing their eight-match campaign with good results, Liverpool is in the top 8. However, what I thought would be Real Madrid's top 8 spot turned out to be a failure, as they lost to Benfica. Now, Real Madrid is in 9th place, forcing them to enter the play-offs.

The top 8 currently only includes representatives from the Bundesliga, the English Premier League, La Liga, and the Portuguese league. I hope there will be representatives from various leagues in the round of 16 to make the round even more exciting.

Galatasaray qualified for the play-offs with a draw against Atletico Madrid. Had they lost to Atletico Madrid, Galatasaray would have dropped to 25th place after Trubin's goal yesterday. We saw just how important even a draw was.

The Barcelona vs. Copenhagen match was incredibly exciting in my opinion because there were unexpected twists, such as Copenhagen scoring first in the first half through Dadason. I thought barcelona would struggle to score, but fortunately, they turned the game around in the second half with goals from Lamine Yamal, Rashford, Raphinha, and Lewandowski, and Copenhagen couldn't score again in the second half. Benfica managed to pull off a small miracle yesterday, but I watched the match and can say that they fully deserved this victory. I’m not sure whether it’s worth saying that something is wrong with Real Madrid, although on the other hand, the win was also important for Real in order to avoid having to play an additional playoff match. I was also very surprised by Marseille’s defeat. They practically handed their Champions League spot to Brugge by losing 0–3, that is a very heavy defeat.

Chelsea started slow, Tottenham also started slow in this competition. How they turned out to be in the top 8 was surprising. Well, it shows the level of form the premier league teams have this season. I understand Chelsea is fifth in the domestic league table, it is expected of them to do better in the champions league. The team that is more surprising is Tottenham who is at 14th position in the league table is now at 4th in the champions league table with automatic qualification to the next round. This is really amazing to watch.
