Hi guys, if a game like the above is made available, where there's a spin board, and in the board, you can win any of the listed options, but if the spin arrow falls on "Death", you will lose your life instantly, will you spin?

I don't think I can try this type of spin even if happens to be real, any gambling that involves life or death is a treath to life and should no be encouraged.  in this type of game, don't be surprised that your first spin will just land in death instead of entering any of those reasonable amount. This looks like the type of gambling of the man who bet on a riding on a deadly hurricane Milton. To me anything gambling that involves life am out of it, be it joke or reality.

If I was a teenager I would say I won't take this level of risk, but right now at this my current age that I have realised that a man without money in this life is as good as a dead. The only difference is that you are still breathing that's all. I will take the risk,  spin the wheel and take whatever that comes my way. But then I have to be certain that there are no tricks. I swear to God I will spin that wheel and end poverty in my life forever or leave this world that places no value on a man's life without money.

The thing is that most people are going to spin it, even some people responding “no” are still going to spin it when faced with challenges in life that will make their life look as if it’s not going to be better.

If people can still take up fire arm to rob or kidnap knowing that they can be caught why then do you think they won’t participate in this? The chances of you dying is 17% so most people are going to take and either end their poverty or just end their life, after all there are people who are constantly trying to take their life because of life challenges.

So to answer your question, in my current state, I don’t see any reason to want to risk my life for but if I’m in a dire situation, I am going to take that risk. If I’m being honest.

even if we say that the death option is just one out of many and there’s only a slight chance it will land there, we never know how luck or in this case misfortune will act upon us and i never want to play with life even if it means having to give up the chance of winning such huge amount of money

Nah, I will not gamble with my life. And for me, my life is not worth that kind of money. We as human should preserve our life isn't it, unless it's really your time and our creator has taken our lives for good.

Even if there are no poll included, for sure majority here will vote and says "No" to this kind of twisted games, just saying.

I am spinning a similar wheel every second. You are doing it too. Everybody does. It is because death can come to us any second. Just while I am typing this post, somebody somewhere has died. Every damn second someone dies. How do we know we are not next? Still though, we live like we will live forever. Humans don’t like to think about death and that’s why most people will avoid spinning your wheel even though they do it on a micro scale every day. Me? I’ll pass noty.

Even if you were serious, let's say in a slot machine version, Death was an unconnected symbol that appeared more often than the connected ones, and perhaps Death was the outcome you would get 99% of the time from your spins. Would you still risk your life for the chance of winning just one spin? Is it really worth risking your life for 100 euros?

Of course, these spins aren't meant to be taken seriously and are probably part of a psychological test to determine someone's gambling addiction, leading to the conclusion that life is less important than gambling. or it could be a joke, but if there was someone like this for real, and chose to bet for a chance to be death in one spin, this would be a crazy gambling decision.

I know money is good and money answered all things on earth but not to the extent of putting my life on the line, I wouldn't want anything that will risk my life because life have no duplicate once you are gone that's the end of you.


If this happens to be a reality their will certainly be a fowl play there because no body will want to give out such amounts out for free, therefore your chances of hitting the dead position on the spin board is always high or are you not aware of this saying that said their is no free thing in free town, it may seem easy and free but death is just at the corner waiting for the greedy souls he will claim.

I will definitely try to do this game if available.
For 1 spin, it means I prepare €100 to get a double prize of the available options.
The "Death" box has a percentage obtained may be greater than the chance to stop at €10 billion.
If only once in a lifetime, then it is likely that many people will not be hit in a box other than the "Death" box.

No, I don't want to risk my life because there will be time for me to get that. I don't know in how many spin the dead will come so it is better not to take that and leave it. Even if the prize is too big, that is not worth doing because it is related to our lives. We can not do that especially if we can avoid that. I prefer to lose money than lose my life.

However I won't be surprised if addicted gamblers should take such a risk and also expect for those that have some few days to live at least they can decide to take such risks since there losing won't make any difference to them. Depends. If I'm on the brink of death due to illness and I need money to cure myself, that spin would definitely a good choice and that has high chance of winning but if I am just broke, then I wouldn't risk my life. After all, I do have the skills and healthy body to earn for myself. Also, if my family doesn't have anything to eat or let's say we're stuck in the middle of the war, I would gamble my life just to provide for my family.

So to answer your question, it depends on the situation that I'm currently in.

You need to be very desperate for money to try this type of life or death spine, I know a few guys who would, by their actions they engage in high risks ventures to make money. I wouldn't sacrifice my life or put myself in deaths path just to make money, I'm not that desperate to become rich and it means that I cannot do whatever it takes to make money. Looking at the spine you will observe that the chances of arriving at death is 1/7 that means that the chances of becoming rich is far higher than death so I reason that gamblers that takes high risks will go for the spin.

That's an interesting question. You know what the rapper 50 cent had as his first album title "Get rich or die trying".
I'm a little bit of a coward(or maybe my survival instinct is too strong) so I might refuse to play such game and I'm not sure who is going to pay out the prizes. What casino on earth could possibly offer such game? There would be no profit for the casino, even if many gamblers pay for the 100 USD ticket. Also I'm pretty sure that no government around the world would ever license a casino game, where one of the options is "death". The hardcore gambling addicts would most likely choose to play such game. That would be an interesting existential dilemma for them. Win lots of money and spend them on gambling or end your life, instead of living with the burden of gambling addiction.

In fact there are many people in this world who have really hard life and these people may take the opportunity if it does really exist. This kind people may have different point of view obvioulsy because they may think that in their situation, it is worth to risk their life for a better life especially the game as what is provide by OP is 90% winning chance. I do even believe if it is like a 50:50 game, some people may be willing to take the risk. I myself will think many times though as I have no reason to take the opportunity because I am happy enough with my current life.

I could always just earn that money, but I can never replace life, and there's only one. No repeat. Anyone who does this doesn't care for his life anymore because it's a risk that he or she is willing to take.

Money is just money, although it is one that control the world now. I think it's not worth staking our lives for it. We can always just work hard and live a good life.

The percentage for each outcome is 14.3% (14.285% to be exact), with that percentage, I thought I would give a try because I thought the percentage offered was quite high with many options, but if it was only 50:50 between "Dead" & €10B, I wouldn't go play it even if it was 50:50. Each of us has our own perception about this, usually if someone feels his life is useless, he will even play if the percentage for "Death" is at 90%. BTW, how about you? are you going to take the game?

This thread would have been complete with a poll. Anyway, I wouldn't gamble with my life for money. Staying with loved ones and enjoying life is more precious than taking such a risk with one's life. With the right attitude to work and good investment, someone can make such an amount. Maybe I would consider engaging in this game if I were diagnosed with a terminal disease that would lead to death.  At this point, someone can risk their life for money.
