Is harvesting healthy for the network or just profitable for the miner?
healthy for the network but you need to have certain ports open to be of most benefit. It's the ones with ports open that are important. Is there going to be or is there already a guide on setting this up to run 24/7?

Do you need to run it on Linux or can I just run it from windows ? Edit. I intend to have a dedicated computer running windows and also running Node, EMU and NEM would also be a bonus if it runs with the other 2

For me the most important issue is the not yet implemented/well tested multisig feature. There will be development funds and they should not be managed by singular persons. Everybody should understand that this is for public benefit.
It's good that we have beta builds, that are available for public testing.

Well for me it doesn't really matter because I never had my stake on the AE and I don't want to sell it.
But I can understand when people are upset about this. People already have a lot of experience with deadlines being pushed back again and again, and by having their stake on the AE it minimizes their risk because they have the ability to get out if things start looking bad.
Extending the deadline might not bring the effect you are hoping for because people want to keep trading until the last minute.
The next deadline that is set won't be extended. Yeah! Pretty excited.

Just curious - who was the lead dev responsible for establishing relationships with all of the participating exchanges? xtester? patmast3r? kodtycoon? Well done.
IIRC: kodtycoon initially contacted poloniex (or poloniex even contacted him - not sure) about trading NEMStake (the asset) on poloniex. After it was decided not todo that i took over and handled poloniex since then. The rest is all xtester and there is quite a bit of stuff that is yet to be revealed that was also managed by xtester. Xtester really has done an oustanding job ! xtester is the man. Don't think he gets the credit he deserves. But in time as announcements are made people will realise the amount of work he has done. Big big thanks to xtester. +1, I believe lots of people are working hard behind the scenes with NEM, and even though I don't know exactly what xtester has in store for us, I think he has given it a good NEM try.

It's a special lock and you need 3 keys to open the jar. The cookies belong to you, your brother and your sister. To make sure noone is eating everyone elses cookies the jar can only be unlocked when all 3 keys are turned. So noone get's any cookies unless everyone aggrees to take some out of the jar. jar = wallet cookies = fuckloads of NEMs people = NEMs community (obv. there won't be 2000 keys) the point is to not have a single person in controll of a huge amount of funds. Since we're going to have many NEMs sitting in funds we need multi-sig to make sure noone goes rouge.

I'm unsure of how flexible exactly we'll be at launch but yes it's possble to set it up to not require every single key.

The reason this instills so much confidence is that literally 99% of the other coins there is always a giant Cookie Monster lurking around. Time and time and time again coins have been "stolen". When NEM launches, it is combatting root of one of the major problems in alts on day one.
