Actually i tried the beta, i didn't see a noticeable difference from the alpha state 5 months ago. Just that the beta is a lot slower to sync and NIS seems lunatic as hell My analysis : Alpha > Beta That's because the blockchain for the beta has lots of transactions and is larger now than NXT even though the beta has only been out since Oct. Running NIS works fine for me, though admittedly I run from the pre-compiled zip at bob.nem.ninja and not via webstart.

Closing in on a year. What's up with this? Well you know - Just too many lazy stakeholders (don't mean you or anytone in particular) that didn't feel like testing during the alpha which is why we had more bugs than expected during beta which is why implementation of multi-sig is taking longer. That's whats up. The test is not lazy, is if you can get hold of the phone version, I will participate, is now open for customer service side need to install a plug-in, if I may, I wish I could get a plug-in version is not required, so whether it is a mobile phone or computers can be tested, so it is convenient everyone, I want to take the test, but now I do not have access computer work place

Myself and the majority of silent stakeholders / NEM hodlers fully support your work and understand how much work it is to actually code a new cryptocurrency from scratch.

I myself am so busy with XMR and HYP that I cannot spend half the time I'd like to with NEM. I would take advantage of the opportunity to mention that patmast3r had been VERY helpful to me for claiming my NEMstake, more than most people I know in crypto. Kudos to patmast3r. Also, by experience, users testing prior to release are not worth much. Testers simply don't test enough. I suppose there are some industrial-grade process (kind of ITIL or COBIT but for testing) but nothing usable with decentralised open-source project not backed-up by full-time employees.

As one of the lazy stakeholders, I say take all the time you need. I may occasionally ask a question about timetables if it seems appropriate, but you won't hear any complaints about delays from me. I would much rather it come out good from the beginning, and I would especially prefer to not go through nearly as many wallet failures and updates as I did with NXT in its first year. If it takes an extra couple months or more to have a stable wallet and network from the beginning I say it's well worth the wait.

No real panic yet, just nxt rising, and bitcoin falling. Could be bloody though. Real panic/fud storm would be nem not releasing in january.

What was your criterias to choose a 9 billions supply ? Seems like 2 billions would be plenty enough. Current crypto world doesn't seem to be ready for massive supplies Hell, i would have probably made it only 500 millions to look like the nxt gold

Best thing to do now is download and run the beta client then feedback any issues. For a beta it is both innovative and stable. KC

Volume must surge after devs will set a launch date Please when you announce the date make it real and without further delays if not people will start forgetting about NEM and it will lose credibility, also I would recommend to watch out skycoin this can be the coin of 2015 and can move NEM to a second place, You need to make sure you are better than Skycoin and prove it to people

Gotta bare in mind Nemstake is seeing less volume simply because there's less Nemstake available. Most buyers have bought, redeemed, and await release.
Seems a tad unreliable to peg NEM's future prospects onto an asset which is slowly dwindling in quantity.

Volume must surge after devs will set a launch date the problem is that we keep on getting "few more weeks" from devs. I have full support for the devs and the community, but I'm starting to feel like I'm being strung along. The multisig delay where are in terms on having that done so we can launch. NO. just cause i want it launch doesnt mean im goin to dump. We need a launch date. I don't want the devs to think im attacking you guys. im simply just saying my opinion. I support you guys. You've done a wonderful job, I think it's time to show everyone what you guys have created cheers guys.

Please guys! No matter what the people here are saying, there should be no release, without multi-sig! The release will be the most important day, and we have been waiting for it for so long, so far. We should show the the world, who we are and what we are standing for, right from the beginning. - And savety should be the one of the points on the very first top of our list, to do!
All or nothing! Here it is all about real money and the community here has been working for this product for such a long time. Should this be, what Nem stands for? After all of this?!? After nearly a year since this huge idea, with all that planing, developing and energy, which people from all over the world have put behind?!?
No! In no case! We are the economy! We are the movement! We are the most greatest and most innovative community out there! We are holding together, driven by the spirit of the most dedicated and visionary developers, the scene has! There is and there will be no half work with us.
All of us have the chance not to be just part of the history, but to write the future!
We are NEM! We are THE MOVEMENT! 2015 will be the year to buy even more units, instead of selling them! Let us stand together and write some future guys! 2015 will be our year; and so far, it's not even the beginning. Let us show the world, what we are made of and what we are standing for! - As a community, as a swarm, as just what we are!
I love you guys and let's show some love!
GreetZ and peace

I've been lurking this thread and NEM looks awesome! I was just wondering, my address is on the NEM registered list, but it doesn't have dashes. Will my stake still be sent properly? My NXT address is: NXT-4GRK-GB2E-M6UH-DPSXN. Thanks.
hello former lurker its fine that it doesnt have dashes.. unless the rest have dashes.. if the rest have dashes and yours doesnt you might have an issue Haha, finally out of the shadows Do I have an issue? I'm the only one on the list without dashes, and i really don't want to have a problem. Who would be able to fix it?
