Hi, I am pretty new to NEM and kind of a computer noob. But I managed to setup a light wallet and transfered my XEM to the wallet. I guess, for the moment I am done, no backups or what so ever? thanks
You have the private key put aside? You need to remember which node you are attached to, always. Otherwise the account can go "missing". Private key and account address are most important.

Depending on what you chose while setting up your account with the lightwallet the password you chose may also be enough. I'd like to clarify though that you don't have to remember your node because that's where your wallet is stored. Your wallet is stored localy. You should remember the node because local storage works on a per-domain basis. That means different domains access different parts of your local storage. As long as you have your private key, address and or the password to your brainwallet you can re-create your wallet on every node though.

I love the Japanese updates, however will NEM be a regional thing in Japan or does it still have worldwide ambitions in the long run? Does not matter what country really, if it takes off in Japan, it will be ultimately a success everywhere if it gains enough attention. The market in Japan is huge, China will be next to grab hold of it, as most of asia, there is enough people watching NEM very closely all over the world and are probably watching how its unfolding in Japan first. I think alot of people are overlooking NEM currently, but when it takes off, you will see the panic buyers flooding to the gates to buy XEM!

If it ever hit big in Japan, that would start a ball rolling no one could stop!

Been gone from cryptoland for awhile now.
Im not saying Im shocked but holy Moses!! NEM is really doing something!! Wow, like really WOW!! From what I can see it looks like Jabo has really done a great job keeping us informed. Thanks Jabo!! And what a pleasant surprise it is. BANKS, real MF Banks gentleman!!
I AM shocked the price is still so low. Somehow (don't ask me how) I showed up just in time. NEM was always my favorite but honestly I thought Makoto was full of S$#! Because he was taking forever.
BOY WAS I WRONG. Sorry for thinking that Makoto!!! You sir are THE MAN.
Congrats to all of the team!!
Are any other coins got this much potential? Other than the obvious one from boy genius?
Wow. I am so happy for NEM. Now let's finish this as strong as we started!!
Yay!! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

I hope that we can finish strong. NEM has to remain open and free to use, and we all have to work together and expand those who are actively involved. This will require personal sacrifice and dedication, putting the good of the project over one's own interests; this is the only way to change the world.

Any news regarding additional companies from Japan or Asia, adopting the NEM-blockchain? Would help to bring the market cap over 10 mio!

I almost hate to bring this up again, but Tony is thinking about a branding package and was looking for our value statement.
Any suggestions?

Hi Guys, I am going through the NEM volunteer survey and starting to think about how we can get people together in teams. Some people didn't leave any way for me to contact them, so that makes it difficult as otherwise it was anon. hahaha For the people that volunteered to translate, when the apps that are in open beta are ready for localization, I'll be contacting some of you. For everyone else, please take a minute. There might be a little thing for a few minutes now and then that could help NEM. (and please leave a contact) https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1RWdE187ngIsRKoHo5ZQ6LPs0LNv8o65fIpATLx2gXgY/viewform
