As far as I know the CECVW situation is handled so everyone can rest assured things are back to normal.

Merchant for XEM? Do you mean a shop or site what is accepting XEM for products or services?
If so, as far as I know, there is not a shop or service at the moment yet.

Any merchant for XEM?

I am afraid to say that situation has  just been handled  by Dev sending me one unique PM asking if I want to discuss it openly or privately.
So, nothing has changed, and nothing has been discussed yet.  I wouldn't consider things back to normal at all, not yet at least

Congrats on keeping this project alive, guys.

I have a web application that I wish to poll the balance of a NEM address.  Usually you can do this via an API somewhere, but the blockexplorer's don't have an API available that I have seen. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to easily do this?

You can do this via the API:
http://bob.nem.ninja/docs/#requesting-the-account-data

This is exactly what I want to do,but I do not wish to maintain a NEM wallet/node. I was hoping for a place that had this sort of thing running that is publicly available?

jaco38 apparently did not bother to deal with this serious issue after we explained everything in PM to him about what was the problem and he did not respond to a single allegations we gave him.

We were just willing to discuss about this issue with the Nem core team before going straight to the exchanges and start to discuss it deeply with them.

But if no one from Nem core is interested in discuss it,  than no problem at all,  we will discuss it straight with the exchanges,  and after that we will be able to post everything here in this thread if that could help

This week I will talk with a big Financial institution in the Netherlands about using Mijin or Dragonfly as a part of their solution like registering transactions.
Is there a website of Dragonfly where I can get more information?

Who should they get in contact with when they are interested?

If you're serious about that then you should really get in touch with rockethead and makoto. I'd suggest to join slack or telegram as you'll catch all of them at once.
For slack http://blockexplore.in/search/join-slack/
For telegram I think you'll need to pm someone that is already there. mixmaster or jabo38 can help you.

Is it still about those 3 stakes you can't access eventhough they were sent to the addresses you registered ?

I think NEM team are keeping secrets from each other, I suggest you to contact jaco38, nothing to do with the 3 stakes and I dont know what exchanges have to do with NEM distribution.

If you want, you can contact me privately as well, not sure if there are two bands in NEM on this business, and one knows and the other doesn't

Can you please stop being a moron and say what you have to say and go away. Why PMs when you can post your thoughts here. All this "I'm going to tell magazines, exchanges,... " only makes you look like a deranged and demented character that the only thing that achieves is to make people irritated and feel sorry about you.
