i am harvesting locally, and it has been running for 2 months now and not a single transaction. Am I doing something wrong?

I take it back, i checked the harvested block and it is harvesting Smiley

how much XEM do you need to have in the wallet to be able to harvest locally? and what is the expected rate of gaining coins? thanks

Yes!!!
"Out of Azure" means a big damage/disadvantage/loss for NEM.
Fair competition with other blockchain/platform on Azure is possible only after NEM's landing on Azure.

I see some are for and some are against, while others are indifferent about this Azure thing. Anybody actually looked at the whole reason why MS is doing this?

What are the implications of being in this? Just because Ethereum is in it is not a reason. We should think carefully about the eventual consequences of being in it.

everyone should read this and draw own conclusions.
http://bitcoinist.net/microsoft-bullies-open-source-is-the-blockchain-their-next-target/
the azure hype can't last forever.
maybe in some months it'll be a big advantage not to be on azure and to be totally independent of MS.

That's a pity!

Whit MS azure we could easily get more people in touch with NEM.
