Here's my private take on Azure:
What will it gives us (or any other currencies)?
nothing, most of currencies that are on azure, are basically docker replacement for MS-centric people. (that's actually what most scripts do, boot linux, run docker scripts)
I think except for ETH, NONE of them actually allows creating OWN chain, and even in case of ETH, it's not as easy as few clicks...
There is also one BIG DOWNSIDE of listing it there regarding rights, but I think rockhead will have more to tell about it.

Which tell that I did not see any cancel of azure
Heard that from a random guy. I don't see any changes as well, thats why I'm asking. Trollbox, right? "I can neither confirm nor deny details of any operation without the Secretary's approval." Grass your mother, idiot, releasing false information. Its official https://github.com/Azure/azure-quickstart-templates/pull/1476"We are hereby retracting our application for the time being due to disagreement about the cla. I've also notified the cla team via email."

The only possible benefit i could've seen from Azure is exposure. It's not a good deal from what i can see.

Don't post here often, but came to say this is a fantastic decision not to fall for Microsoft's trap!

The best decision! Respect to NEM Team! By the way, I am curious how many rights ETH gave away.

We have to find an evocative name for this day.
In the first birthday of the genesis block, NEM refuses to give its butt to Microsoft like every other cryptocoin is doing.
We will remember this day forever.
