Possibly. Somebody has invested a large amount of BTC into XMG the wall has maybe been put there to protect that investment. I can think of a couple of scenarios

1. The buyer has bought to all coins to 5000 and is holding the wall to protect and sell the previous invesment a profit, assuming more people will be buying seeing the large wall there
2. The buyer has secured the coin to 5000 and wants to increase the price further and is using the wall to stabilise the price before a pump
3. The buyer wants to accrue as much XMG as possible and the wall is used to soak up as much XMG

Questions are. how long will the wall stay in place for? How many people will sell for 5000?

More BTC pressure has been secured behind the buy wall too since earlier. All very interesting developments.

I'll be very interested to see what happens next.

That might be a reason.
I think the best thing for Magi is focus more on developments, new services & marketing.
Magi is a community currency and if we all help with these goals Magi will enter the top 50 for sure!

XMG price and volume were nothing a few weeks ago.
Because of the pumps XMG gets attention and the price and volume stays up.  (from 1300 to 3000)
This works much better than nice pictures, for now.
So pump it up guys and let the coin stay alive!

That's does sound strange and interesting, but I don't think that sort of would lead to a lower price since price is getting high per pump. You never know what's behind especially when what's happening is upon what's done by individuals, pump / dump. Frankly I don't like this sharp pump though it does bring attention it may come dump too. It's for sure that I can tell, if one sells at 5k and above, it's no doubt to buy in at this moment, or you have done already; well, if one sold at 2k, then go with some strategies.

XMG price and volume were nothing a few weeks ago.
Because of the pumps XMG gets attention and the price and volume stays up.  (from 1300 to 3000)
This works much better than nice pictures, for now.
So pump it up guys and let the coin stay alive!

Man, we don't need pump to make magi alive; I'll do ; well in part in markets anyways.

There is a lot of activity on the markets today - but not so much on Magi, then I realised that there is not much liquidity in the market (On polo only 2000XMG for sale up to 2990sat and and only 10000XMG in demand for upto 2200sat), I'm going to release a bit more BTC/XMG into the XMG market - and its a good opportunity for everybody if you want to place buy or sell orders. There is hardly anything in the 2000-3000 satoshi range

Thanks guys, there is a lot more liquidity in the market now - We now have 24,000 XMG up to 3000sat and 25,000 XMG from 2000sat+ in sell orders. The poloniex market is looking 10 times healthier than this morning

Definitely good news for Magi! Now it would be best to hold on tight onto your XMG coins as this will probably get very interesting in the next days. Magi is finally on Poloniex and it may soon spread to other exchanges once it becomes extremely popular. I have no doubt that it will be the best alt coin yet! Prices have remained relatively stable so that is a good sign that XMG is a safe investment. Just my opinion.  

I agree to hold onto the majority of coins - but its still good to offer a small amount to the exchanges, if there is no Magi for people to buy then the coin will not be so tempting for the large investors. That's why I'm holding 80% of my coin and using the other 20% to the market no matter what the price is  (and with the recent volatility my 20% holding has increased to 30%)

Awesome, there has been a massive spike in XMG - 15BTC have invested in the last 24 hours =) Price just leaped all the way to 5.5K

And, I just noticed that the price of 5,000 is being secured with a wall of 7BTC. Very exciting times for the MagiCoin...

Completely agree with you mate. These times are very exciting for Coin Magi. It seems that there are investors that have become very interested in increasing XMG's price thus making it more valuable. It is good and bad at the same time since the more the price goes up, the more the profits but the less chances you'll get of buying some cheap Magi to prepare for the next Proof of Interest campaign.

Still, the price today has remained stable around $0.02 which is pretty good entry point (in my opinion) to get some cheap XMG before something even better happens. I am very optimistic.

What was most interesting was there there was at one point a sell wall for 8BTC of Magi at about 6000 - it was there for a minute or two, then both walls collapsed. In my opinion, whoever put that wall in place now has a lot of Magi and will try to sell them at a profit at some point. Lets see if the 'Great Wall of Magi' reappears at some point in the future.

I dont know but as they are selling I'm buying =) I managed to get a lot more Magi over the last 24 hours - if we get another couple of days like that I'll be able to start trading on Bittrex as well as Poloniex

I think so as well. Stirring up interest then letting the price drop and pulling some more in. It seems like when there is more XMG availablie on the markets it seems to push the price up a lot. But not completely sure. Could be the start of something big or just somebody speculating. Lets watch and see what happens. It probably wont be a subtle change looking at the last few weeks. LOL
