By my vague calculations we should be past .03 if this slow march is enforced for the next 24 hours.

You did notice the two last dumps, so please don't burn yourself.
As i stated earlier, sell your coins and buy in lower again, since this pump seems to follow the schematics (you did notice the correction) from the last one.

What i ask myself... how can you compare past pump and dump cycles with this one on WAY different volume and hype.

TA always comes true... besides it does not, but in that case no one bats an eye.

People can throw out 100 different opinions be it TA or anything else... in the end you will only hear from those who predicted right... not wrong

aminorex did ask me the same question at the last pump and dump.
The behaviour is the same, it does not really mather what volume is involved. What matters is the rise in a certain time frame. Three spikes up with high gains and now it seems to go down quite fast also.
The last pump had almost the same figures with huge buy- and sellwalls corresponding to the traded volume.

There was mentioned a song "Landies and Gents" buy the shemantics, i would like to turn that into Tyrone Davis "What goes up must come down"

As i said, let's wait until the next weekend  Roll Eyes

Ps.: I f you do not like Tyrone try this one  Grin

God, you're absolutely right -- I've sold everything and will console myself with my lousy 22BTC profit.
I don't know how I've managed to survive in crypto all these years without your wise (yet unsolicited) advice.

Lucky you  Roll Eyes
I didn't ask for your advice either, so we have to consolidate in mutual respect, if you want to do so  Wink

I don't recall giving you any advice -- I try to limit myself to advising users of this forum not to trust the advice provided by users of this forum.

I did not give you any personal advice, somewhat like your unpersonal "advice" to wait for a rise to 0,03 in the next 24hours  Smiley

Well, the price rose so fast I would expect a decent dump/correction at this point. I am thinking that the price will remain fairly high unless some of the DNM's never actually see XMR used for sales. Either way, XMR has won the war versus DASH for the top privacy coin.

No, you have warned me to sell a number of times and not to get burned. Infact, you seem quite evangelical in your zeal to get others to follow your advice.

The post you quote is part of a conversation I was having with others while we were watching the price being marched up - you will note it does not say anywhere to 'wait' or that I am somehow spruiking the price or encouraging people to buy. Most pertinently I wasn't talking directly to you.

I'm not quite sure why you have started this little campaign to advise me on what to do, so I'm putting you on ignore.

Bitsquare is a decentralized bitcoin exchange. Your funds are located on your own computer and there are no KYC/AML type of ID requirements. It's now even possible to run it on raspberry pi (albeit a bit slow).

I think Monero is a perfect fit so I've been doing market making for some weeks now. Volume and bids has been in a nice steady uptrend for August and September and Monero has actually become the currency with the most liquidity on bitsquare.

But it's still relatively low volume, so we need more traders. Please consider checking it out. Come to #bitsquare on IRC if you have questions.

I do not advise what you have to do, i just was expressing my feeling for the price and the outcome of that.
I never said "Nanobrain, sell now..."

Serious setbacks and dumps are not happening.

There is too much buying pressure.

I remember when bitcoin rallied from 10'sh usd to 265.
Did not buy in the rally (unfortunately). However, I have pretty similar gut feeling of Monero - it has not done it yet. Too much buyers and now finally things has started to happen so selling now when things has rocking and rolling only 1 week feels pretty stupid.
I wonder who are these sellers...? How they make their decisions to sell? Probably they are just very desperate for cold cash (tax liabilities to pay?).

A lot of big (and smart) XMR holders are likely to have selling plans.
This means that they'll sell a certain percentage of their coins at a fixed price level.

Doing this eliminates emotional errors and risk.
Lots of these probably are hitting their selling targets now and sell.

I certainly did.

Maybe selling doesn't seem to make sense, but clinging to an appreciating asset for dear life until it takes over your portfolio completely can be a mistake.
You need some dry powder.
If Monero has become 90% of your assets, what do you have left to buy moar when it corrects?  You need balance.

I'm not saying that such sensible rebalancing accounts for all the liquidity on the sell side of the book.  I'm sure there's plenty of useless churn by small traders.
