Todd says to CoinTelegraph that the alleged use of Monero in dark web activities did not surprise him as it “definitely has a privacy advantage over Bitcoin.” Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/the-fbi-wants-zero-privacy-security-bitcoin-community-should-protect-its-freedoms

Hey well that is some good news!, imo people have not really let this quote sink in yet. Especially from someone of the likes of Peter Todd

0188 is my buy point. Hello again, buy point.

Does anyone here margin trade on Poloniex?

I'd like to think I'm not a complete moron when it comes to margin trading but I can't seem to get it to work.

There are plenty of loans out on the table and for the price I set in my margin buys at, however, when making a trade I get the message 'Insufficient loans to cover trade'.

What am I doing wrong?

The book varies at an alarming rate.  You need to raise your rate limit I would guess.  Don't be so cheap  Grin

I couldn't more agree on this statement. I am giving both btc and xmr loans out and I prefer higher rates to lower rates on both coins.

To get both of you in one go, I have tried it all. =/ I'll even sit there with an open order, refreshing the lending page, and I stare blankly at open lending offers that match my order. I am at such a loss. Bagholding from the start, but wanting to make that little extra.

Have you moved the coins into your margin account? If they are in your exchange account they can't be used for margin positions.

They don't even allow you to go as far as placing a loan order if you don't have XMR in your margin account. I was hoping to get someone who may or may not have had this same issue, but now understands how it works. It's really becoming a pain in my ass!

Creenome, i experienced this issue and i dont know what the problem is exactly. what i do is just use small orders with small time delay. mostly if i use margin i market buy or sell anyway and dont put limit orders. so if i have 10 btc to play, i would fire 2 btc each 3 secounds or so directlys into the bids/asks. with that you are at least able to enter quickly with the majority of your money when there is movement in the market. becasue polo can lagg too, and when after 20 sec of lagg this message pops up (instead of "margin order placed" or whatever, its really frustrating.

I'm going to go ahead and give it another try. It's just so frustrating..

Better late than never, right? What's 1 dollar when it rises $100? Don't miss the train or you're going to wonder why you missed out on XMR and BTC.
