I think there is a lot of FUD created by NRG.

That being said, Monero is now at the level which is natural level considering simply monetary values. Marketcap is something like 100 million usd (give or take).
At this point Monero is lucrative for bigger money to enter. I think Monero has one of the best use cases in long term storage of value because of superior anonymity.
Dark markets are great and they are only the first step. Price is now good even without darkmarkets (I do not think Monero's fair value is around the same as it was in June-July this year).
The correction to 0.01 might take place (or not). However, looking at the lending markets, there is a lot of buying power coming from there as around 150 000 XMR has disappeared from Monero lending markets. Sure some of them can be due to withdrawals but certainly a large portion of them are in shorting purposes.
I am speculating that NRG has taken a significiant short position and now he is just FUDing so that he can cover his position.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am a strong advocate of Monero OTC trading. I think for NRG it is better to do something profitable and sell Moneros OTC.
I made like 1-2 hours ago a calculation that you could buy 142632 XMR for market order of 2003 which pushed the price to 0.01563.
That gives you an average price of 2003btc/142632 XMR = 0.014 BTC/XMR.
If you the coins to your customer at the max price you bought you would be making something like 10+ % margin.
The challenge of course is to find buyers like this but I think there are some inflation concerned investors in German speaking countries.  Wink

The zcash founders reward is an easy line of attack against that project. A targeted campaign along that front will reduce the impact of the zcash launch on the xmr price.

Be interested to see when that attack will begin in earnest.

@TrueCryptonaire

You are talking FUD about reality and just ignore it.

1. OASIS did exit scam
2. Coin price is falling
3. AlphaBay qoutes are from the market itself.

Anyone can check it and you still talking shit and claim that this is FUD.

Another AlphaBay Message:

I really support the implementation of XMR, this coin is so superior to BTC and it safes me tons of money because i dont have to tumbl coins. But im bit afraid of the withdrawels complaints. Especially after oasis did an exit scam recently and i never received my XMR which i got as a vendor there. Does anyone here ever received their coins?

1. You are pretty much the only person telling us OASIS did exit.
2. Coin price falls because there are so many shorts taken (look at the lending markets).
3. You are bringing some vague quotes from AlphaBay.

As I said earlier, the exits of DNM are now in the price of Monero. The price reached over 0.02 in the rally as a result of the announcement. Now we have 50 % discount on that price so it is an indication that there are some problems. If it appears to be FUD spread by you only, the price should go back to over 0.02. If it ends up being the truth, then it should not have any further impact on the price.
Still I am holding my bags and if you necessarily want to increase your short position, there are my bids waiting for you to sell me. Bear in mind, I am not giving those coins back to you for lower price though so if you want to rebuy those coins you need to throw some paper bills (I have currently 4 bids).  Wink

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

TrueCryptonaire, everyone here -except you and maybe some retards- realise that Oasis did an exit scam.

So people now should much take care a lot if they listen to someone like you who totally denies facts like this. I bet you bought to much at high price and miscalculated the development totally.

Moreover you claim you have tons of XRM in account but are not willing to proof it to the community, to us all.

btw: I pay you 10 XRM if you make proof of your claims. I can transfer it to someone here that it is in escrow if you want.

And the board of AlphaBay for example has not even one positive withdraw confirmation about XMR.

Revisit this thought and chill out, man!

This isn't the stock exchange or secondary market.

The ZCash launch affects nobody in the Monero community and has no "impact" on the projects development.

It may be the wish of some altcoin traders looking for (any) action in the market. In reality, it's only a topic for trolls, uninformed altcoin dream chasers [who have a new favourite ICO/IPO coin every 4 weeks] and maybe crypto-currency gossip media sites.

Yes if I would act based on your advice I would just lose money. Therefore I prefer holding my bags tight and refuse to sell at discount even to such a nice guy like you.
As I said, my average price is somewhere around 0.002 (perhaps slightly over).
The highest price I bought coins was something around 0.02 but the amounts were insignificiant.

I do not need to reveal my coins to you. It is up to you if you believe or not but I have coins enought to become ultra rich if Monero goes to the moon. Now we are not even at launching pad. It is not your problem (or any other's problem) how many coins I have. I wonder why are you so interested into my money.

As I said, monero is now so cheap that as a store of value it is now cheap even. Consider the low inflation - only roughly 5.5 million coins will be mined until the minimum block reward kicks in and that is the time of severe Monero shortages as bagholders like me are reluctant to release goodies from our bags.

TrueCryptonaire has been talking about Monero for a long time. It's not hard to search post history.
I wouldn't be surprised if you told me he had tens, or possibly hundreds of thousands of Monero coin.

Believe in Monero or don't its your money to invest.  Grin
But personally I think Monero, Ethereum and Bitcoin are the only coins that have any long term investment potential right now.
Everything else is just junk bonds to be traded on an exchange for a quick profit.

Damm i was only 40% done investing in XMR, i was planning to buy more for lower price, this sucks, now i might have to pay a lot more. This is why i buy when the price is cheap, even if i think it will continue down, get som balls ffs.

Turned out to be a good idea now, the bagholding strategy isn't that bad with xmr.

True Cryptonaire does not need to proof anything, this guy is legit. I share his opinion on Monero and I also won't sell any. I sold some on the top and rebought again cheaper, not a too huge quantity because I do not play with all my XMR. One does not play with such precious tokens. I have  accumulated some more and thats fun but I am not into this for the small money and small altcoin trader games, but for the long ride above 100 USD and more. The whole blockchain tech is still in its beginning, so much room for growth.

No one here declined a good future for XMR. But as more as i talk here with some people as more i understand why some poor people never get rich Smiley

Maybe some of them are not that poor and just enjoy the funny conversation and simply do not fully share your excitement about the low volume pullback here. Whales can't move that much in low water. A smart trader knows that he does not need to trade often and always. Some guys tried to outsmart the market during the three peaks and failed hard.

XMR has accumulated some critical mass for further growth. A healthy community, motivated devs who dont go for the hype DAO style but walk their own path. Coming updates and adoptation will bring the price more away from this peanuts. Everyone who is substantially invested into XMR has an interesting future. The current market cap is a joke.

Thats not even the decisive long term point, if that was the only problem a clean launch like Bytecoin/Monero situation would solve the problem. The technology is not there yet and I'm not sure it will be even a decade from now. Monero in its passive by default and opt-out by choice privacy has no competitors. No one is talking about how Zcash can scale or how much it bloats (hint: its bad), any serious investor researched that by this point in time already and concluded Monero is the best cryptocurrency.

Are you sure about this? My understanding was that the huge proofs that are generated when creating a Zcash transaction can be pruned.

From the AlphaBay Board

Quote
Are monero withdrawals broken? The first time I tried to withdraw, it failed, so I opened a support ticket... @Admin placed the failed withdrawal amount back into my account. Pretty cool.

So, then I tried to withdraw this again, but the same thing happened, monero not received and not in my account anymore again. So, I submitted another support request. But now it got closed without resolve.

I don't want to push your patience @Admin, but what about my money.. If anyone is wondering then yes, I did submitted a valid wallet address and payment id.

I really hope thats not going to be an exit scam like OASIS did

Quote
You know what: keep the XMR, it's a donation for Alphabay (and ok, not that much anyway, but still...) I just hope that this problem I had regarding withdrawals gets fixed. It sucks when your money disappears.

So what I was worried about AB seems not to be so spectulative....

And some verndors are also complaining:

Quote
Waiting for my coin since 5 days. Support not answering.

Quote
Also have about 400 BTC what apeared send but i havent received anything !!!
Please AlphaBay dont follow Oasis...fck 400 BTC Sad
