Looks very shady to me.  New account, imitating the name of a reputable party, asking you to install software... You get what you deserve I guess.

My thoughts exactly, this one is for FF and was the first as far as I known and has always worked great for me and is kept up to date.

Yes, a hell of a lot better. Monero is both better technology wise, price stability wise, and adoption wise. I  think Monero is going to do well, however I can't help but think that Zcash could collapse.

I also am interested in this theory.  It does seem to hold fairly well recently and over time.  I think it is a reasonable speculation that when this altcoin bubble bursts monero may benefit but it's a little tricky because monero is also an Alt... so I also think we have to consider the possibility that instead of going up it holds its value. In fact I think we may be seeing that now.

Hoping that it will happen. since there is no way to know what will be happen in the future.. if the price of other altcoin is getting low like those who trending altcoins before i think monero will burst increase just like before we don't know exactly when they will increase just like before honestly i forgot monero but  i am holding few monero in some trading site and notice that more people are mention about monero and now we see the price was increase ..

More people mine, less Moneros you get from one hash you give to the network to mine.  As it looks miners expect price will go up so they mine altho get much less reward then would get a week ago..
In last 3 years whenever hash rate increased soon latter also price increased.

HR went from 60's to 80's recently.  Not double, but it is steadily increasing.  Active nodes has been steady over that period, to my observation.

Well, Monero is kind of due for a pump of it’s own. DASH and Ethereum have already got theirs and seem to be holding up a good portion of that pump, so It’d make sense Monero gets one soon.

I've never done it but just looking around there today noticed that entire section of the site... curious what the actual PROs and CONs are about this.

My XMR stash is basically sitting in a cold address so I'm just thinking maybe put a little of it to work?

That is, as long as the risk isn't too great (?) and/or the reward is worth it (??)

Indeed. I'll take a nice gradual appreciation over some ridiculous *cough* DASH spike. In fact, if those coins switched prices (XMR=$63, DASH=$21) over the next 18 months I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest.

I lend when rates are high.  It's not even peanuts lately though.  A few husks and some salt, thats it.  When rates get above 0.1% consistently it aproaches worthwhile, IMO.  Looks like people are starting to short, so keep an eye on it, but not yet.
