Has anyone been able to cash out of Monero?

I am having a truly Kafkaesque exerience. I'm tier 4 verified on Kraken, but have been unable to withdraw any funds to my bank account. No explanation so far. My bank account details are all correctly entered.

I gave my church a substantial amount of Monero. They spent 3 months getting verified on Kraken but have also been unable to withdraw any funds. They were told that the wire transfer process has to be separately verified. They are trying to jump through all the hoops but I am beginning to lose hope.

Similar problems on Coinbase. I have tried selling Bitcoin on Coinbase but the transaction has been rejected because I am "over the weekly limit", which I'm clearly not. This used to work.

And I'm having the same problems on goldmoney.com. Not a cryptocurrency but again transfer out is not working for nonsensical reasons.

I'm starting to wonder whether the whole cryptocurrency world, if not the entire financial world, is fake. What does the Monero price matter if there's no real world liquidity?

Anyone else having similar problems?

I have had a good experience with Gemini. Verification only took 1 week or so (this was earlier this year), and there are no withdrawal fees. Trading fees are reasonable, unlike the Coinbase 1.5%. ACH withdrawals have been smooth. Haven't tried a wire withdrawal yet but I hear that it is reliable.

Hi. I use Kraken (level 3 verified), and have moved significant USD out this month. They don't allow withdrawals via services like transferwise, which was frustrating. However, there should be no problem as long as the account you are moving the funds to accepts SWIFT payments and is registered in the same name as your Kraken account.

Nice price bounce today btw. :-)

Kraken service is high class at least for Europe. 1 day SEPA transfer. Had no problems with them.

Saddam: Use Coinbase's GDAX exchange, not their "retail" user interface... much lower trading %

I've found Kraken's interface with the bank systems kind of hit or miss, quirky.  FWIW as bad as coinbase can be sometimes they've been pretty good for fiat withdrawals via ACH: I see the money in my checking account almost always within just a day or two, sometimes (rarely) same day.

I usually sell whatever coin for just plain bitcoin BTC, transfer that to coinbase/GDAX wallet, sell for dollars and withdraw ACH.  Works well.  But, again FWIW have not really done this *that* much as honestly I rarely sell anything LOL just mostly HODL and only occasionally have to pull out some of that old-fashion weird printed paper money for something Smiley

The price of Moreno has risen so fast, but it has not fall fast. For now, it's picking up faster than the other top-level altcoins! I guess Monero's rise is not speculation.

If Monero continues to be such a stable altcoin, it may come to better places than Ethereum.

Monero is better than Etherum, Litecoin, and so on.
I personally think, we will see Monero beeing the closest coin to BTC in Q3 2018. Rangedriver had the exact same prediction a few days ago  Grin Cheesy Cool

The big question is where will bitcoin be at that point, and what % of its market cap could we expect Monero to occupy? Currently ETH is about 40% of bitcoin's market cap.

That will be the most interesting awnser to be found in the next 12 months. Hence BTC is losing ground to other ideas, i prefer that over the terminus coin, this will be difficult to predict simply because you do not know what big bug will be found in one of the top 5 ideas. The next question to be clarified is what counts most. Market cap, adoption, price...
So, let us all have a cup of tea and wait until christmas  Roll Eyes Cool Cheesy

Monero is one of only 3 projects, of the top 20, that are in full compliance with FINCEN and SEC rules. The other two being Bitcoin and Litecoin. Aminorex's predictions for the following year are starting to sound more and more likely.

what? which 3 are in full compliance with fincen and sec rules exactly?

Original commenter's opinion bolded above.

Old news to people reading this thread:

https://qz.com/1069077/bitcoin-fails-as-a-haven-amid-fears-of-nuclear-conflict-between-us-and-north-korea/

We're not quite "there" yet.

Although I agree with that analysis, I do believe the current situation is more complex than just seeing if Crypto is ready to be a safe haven during war.  The China news, I think, may be playing a more primary role in the current pullback than speculation around Korea.

Yes, except for the fact that I observed the divergence within minutes of the Korea news, well before the China news broke. It was clear that the respective markets were responding to a risk off trigger in opposite directions.

BTC is being priced more as a risky speculative asset at this point than as a safe haven.

Your 0.024 predicition was on spot  Tongue so let that also come true  Cheesy. New Monero release could probably also fuel a little upwards trend if everythings runs without any critical bugs ^^
