Monero is one of the best privacy coins out there. I am waiting for a bull run for Monero. But we need some good reasons for Monero to start a bull run.

... Hyping the drone thing makes all of you look desperate tbh.
No one is hyping drones, except maybe gembitz on his own way. Drones were most abstract thing that was presented on second day of the MoneroKon. There was plenty other new and good things presented that day, but this drones were something that at least to me was most interesting. Since was a bit crazy tech idea. It caused a lot of skepticism and still does. There is almost a year until it happens. So a lot of time. If it happens, this will for sure attract a lot of media coverage. By fundamentals it should not influence Monero price in anyway, but who knows what media coverage will do. One of the main goals of Tari is Monero success. Fluffypony emphasized this in his latest presentation on Tari & Monero, which I strongly recommend to watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmeSSnppixYAdditionally, he did not leave Monero. He is still actively participating in Monero's development. Kind of like one of the main goals of Ticketmaster is the US dollar's success? Please, it's a private company. I'm glad it exists but let's not get carried away. Private companies exist to make profit. What Tari does for Monero is that they will spend their founds to develop open source code that could be latter on copy pasted to Monero. At least the concept since it uses different program language. That is huge and Monero needes more such projects. monero masternodes lmao ~ aTari ~ does it play video games too? reeee

The bigger Monero's market cap, the more secure the chain will be (which thus benefits Tari). Yes, I watched it there, live. I was surprised I didn't see you at the conference. All the other Reddit moderators were in attendance

Private companies exist to make profit. What Tari does for Monero is that they will spend their founds to develop open source code that could be latter on copy pasted to Monero. At least the concept since it uses different program language. That is huge and Monero needes more such projects. Can't really copy-paste from Rust to C++, as you have acknowledged. Hence the push to migrate Monero to Rust, which I think would be a great way to alienate the existing contributor base.

The strength of Monero is fading away slowly. Although security and privacy is the key factor of the altcoin as there are several competitors in that space. Additionally, Monero is more of a transactional kind of cryptocurrency, and no one really wishes to hold it for long. Nice cherry pick, Tard. Conclusion:
As expected, the strength of Monero is fading away slowly. Although security and privacy is the key factor of the altcoin as there are several competitors in that space. Additionally, Monero is more of a transactional kind of cryptocurrency, and no one really wishes to hold it for long. However, the coin has strong community support and will soon bounce back. BTW, that is called plagiarism and can get you banned, but you did embed the link. Also show me another Fungible currency that I can send any amount for pennies.

Auction for the first ever funded XMR giftcard has started. Place your bid for one of the low numbered cards #1 through 10 (from 128 total): https://asktom.cf/index.php?topic=5160950.0
With current low XMR prices this is a steal. Personally I would be very suprised to see Monero below 0.01 BTC for too long. In the mid/long term I see it more in the 1/50th to 1/20th price range of Bitcoin. The reason is simple: A need for a fungible and truely private crypto will increase with adoption and awareness.

Cross Post from WO. https://coinjazeera.news/peter-brandt-dies-of-old-age-in-longest-trade-ever/Mr. Brandt had just opened a 25x long on BitMEX when he suffered a massive coronary heart attack after watching YouTube and seeing Tone Vays draw the worst ascending triangle he had ever seen in his life. The wave of anger at Tone Vays’ incompetence triggered the old man’s right coronary artery to literally explode as he clutched his chest and moaned “You stupid bafoon! That’s not a triangle that’s an ascending wedge” before collapsing to the ground while the other residents around him barely looked up from their bingo game and soiling their Depends.

Dat daylight mode though!! Also, I’m sure it’s been talked about before somewhere else, but I’m guessing the plan is to eventually have Model One support for the trezor too at some point?

I updated things on my nano S. All went smooth. Was tempted to buy Model T, but then will just have to keep two different hardware wallets development and updates. So I will give it a bit more thinking Anyway is great Monero can be now stored on two hardware wallets. Two years ago that was a dream.

Easy on device entry of a strong password is a valuable security feature and was enough for me to retire my Ledger. Many of the recent hardware wallet exploits are thwarted by a strong password, and it gives plausible deniability in case of the dreaded $5 wrench attack. This plausible deniability is especially strong in the case of monero, since nobody knows your address or balance. Unlimited private wallets on a single device. (although you can technically do this on ledger, the horrible user interface makes strong passwords impractical unless you are a masochist) Further, you can initialize your Trezor offline with python trezor, and load a custom seed generated with casino grade dice for the ultimate airgapped + HW wallet setup for multiple layers of defense.

Good post.
It seems this time it will be all about institutional money, and institutional money only wants bitcoin, maybe ETH, and a few others. Monero? Might be too shady. With Info on this one. Pseudonymity is a pill regulated markets will swallow. True anonymity, in contrast, will be spat up.
