The 150$ ask wall has been surprisingly stable.

I'm loving this press action.
It response to all those "bubbles", "freak shows", "pyramid" throw away lines... I would love to see Bitcoin crack a new all time high just to piss them off.
It only has to punch through it by a few bucks and hold for 48 hours to make them eat crow.
It will... Banks are closed during the week end. Once the weekends ends, the shitstorm begins. -WikileaksDude This is very likely. It's been the pattern for like, a month now Mon-Weds is BUY BUY BUY. Thurs-Fri Dump day. Sat-Sun days of rest.

Oh me, look at this one. Here's another graph that is going straight up. Wonder why the inflection point. Why was the second derivative negative? wow, 175 000 users = big incentive for some hardcore black-hats.

I assume that it's weighted based on (1) how early you placed your bet (someone who bet right before the deadline and wins will make less than someone who bet 6 months prior, with far less information) and (2) the ratio of Yays to Nays, of course. (A bet with 40 BTC in favor and 1 BTC against - obviously if 40 end up winning, they each get a teeny tiny % profit, but if the 1 win, they make bank.) I've made some dough on bitbets, but I don't do it too often, it's just for fun occasionally. It's a nice surprise seeing a chunk of change show up in your wallet from BitBets when you won a bet.

Yes, which is the reason I am still short-term bullish at the moment: we have gained massive exposure to new potential investors. Some of the bolder ones will step in and buy now, even more will give it a bit of thought and decline, but jump in during the next 'bubble'. That is the pattern I have noticed in myself, but I suspect it is true for a great many people.

Happy Saturday, hope everybody enjoyed a relatively quiet night. Remarkably quiet. Where do we go from here? Upwards? Still a possible weekend dip?..

In this situation, what would be the relevant indicators to make such prediction? (both ways). I've just started to learn a bit about the btc craziness. Btw... Thx for sharing your hints guys EDIT: Well, my ignorance is actually more about "trading" rather than btc indeed.

Loving this consolidation. Once again: fuel for the rocket. Sleep easy yeah there's 11.8 million in bids and who knows how much off the wall. As soon as these people realize that the weekend dip won't happen they'll be coming in.

Loving this consolidation. Once again: fuel for the rocket. Sleep easy yeah there's 11.8 million in bids and who knows how much off the wall. As soon as these people realize that the weekend dip won't happen they'll be coming in. And we have had an incredible increase in media attention during the last week, more than anyone could have predicted even two weeks ago. In my country, where the norm seems to be to ignore every technical innovation for at least 5 years before jumping on the train, bitcoin was in every newspaper and on every major talkshow. Though many from the "general public" are still like "oh we'll see", many new people will be coming in soon. It reminds me of the adoption of the PC, the internet, cell phones, MP3, P2P, Facebook, just 5 times faster. It's going to be epic.
