Sri Lanka set a Big target to England to win this match. England wants to score 306 runs in 42 overs. I think this is a good target from SL. Today all SL batsman played magnificently. Especially in the last overs captain played very well. Now England batting started 1 over 4 runs let's see England will chase this big target or not.
This was a big target, but England easily managed to overhaul it. When you are opening batsman scores 162 with a strike rate of 130+, it is going to be easy.  England won the match by 6 wickets with remaining 5 balls. This is atrocious luck to Sri Lanka after incredible batting and put High score chase opposite team then also SL lost his match means. It is Bowler's fault. But Roy batted magnificently 162 runs in just 18 balls. He is the present world class fastest Batsman I think because His batting is like that. So finally England lead the series in 2-0. This is really Bad luck to SL first Rain interrupts to their batting next Jason Roy grab their victory. So this is series end now. England won the series but the last match just for the sake they will play. At least SL wants to win this game and come back to their form. Roy made a fantastic century. Congratulation England. |

England once again proved it is much stronger team on home ground even this target 305 runs in 42 overs was really big and it could be defended easily with some good bowling spells but England have very good batting line up and all performing so nice into this series so that i think into last ODI it will beat Sri Lanka again, England has been won the series with brilliant performance.

England really performed very well and particularly jj roy and joe root both of them have performed very well on both matches , first odi they won it without lossing the wicket and this match they just chased it which was a big score in 42 overs due to rain. Sri Lanka are really very poor in bowling in the first odi they were not able to grab a wicket and in this second match even after scoring 300+ runs they were not able to restrict england .
England are now 2-0 in this odi series

great performance by roy and england . they won all the series against SL , hope they keep going in same way . next match england have decent odds of 1.23 and i am going for it . if they are chasing , then they will win easily , no matter whats the score is .

Fantastic batting performance by Jason Roy as he played very brilliant innings for England because this target was little high and it looking Sri Lanka will get succeed to defend this and make level the this series, in one day format of cricket it is much balanced but England took very good advantage.

No doubt England performed mind blowing into this 4th ODI and won this match by 6 wickets, now just 1 match remaining of this series but England have been won this so that it seems last match will be more interesting because Sri Lanka will do its best to win this match.
Srilankans did amazing batting and possibly 300+ was the tough target for English. But Jason Roy's stunning performance made it possible for English team. Wonderful match to watch and delight. |

The fifth match is here now. England will be the favourites in this one, having already won the series. Sri Lanka need to give a special performance here. |

I am also with England team they are too good...all their 11 batsman can bat and they have a mixture of all rounders and genuine batsman and bowlers...roy is in great form with bat..so every thing good for England |

This match is not so important from England point of view because it has been won the series already, on other side Sri Lanka still struggling to win a match into this ODI series and today it has last chance to do this but I am not sure as England is in very good form and playing so nice.

Sri lanka won the toss and went for bowling which is not good decision.England again is on fire after 50 runs partnership in opening wicket.I will say we will have to see another one sided match where Sri lanka just lost chance to play pressure free and set up good total.England will not miss this opportunity of 3 nil to close the series.

Eng vs sl
5th odi at cardiff.
Sl won toss and bowls. Frst time in series i think. When sl lost in last 7 odis they won 4 1 tie 1 last game lost after 60p. So gave odds in all. This time toss won.
as per Ground record in last 15 odis or so only 3 defended here with 1 tie rest chased. So show sec bat advtage. that because not many high scores in odi here. Only 25% of those games gave 250+ scores here. Of which 300+ thrice. Shows due to lower medium scores many chased here. So sl have advantage of that.
Eng played 8 games here. Won 4. Lost 1. 3 no result. Sl played 2 lost 2 here.
So all things depends on score here. As ground record in odi of chaser advantage with winning 75% games in last 15-16 odis is due to 75% times score not high and under 250-60 only. So lets see what they put on board today. Good luck all of us. Hope for best.

In remaining 30 balls at least 50 more runs can be expected in total score on score board.Root J is well settled on the pitch and has nothing to be worried about.It is his chance to make his 100s against Sri lanka.This present conditions indicates that 300 + is normal thing to happen.It will be good score for English bowlers to defend easily.

What is sure is 300 score for England.I am also curious to see if one of these batsmen succeed to reach at 100 runs or not.He has to go for big hits if he really is interested in hundred runs achievement.Let's see where Root takes his final score about England I am sure over 300 runs.

324 looking very good total on the board and I think it was not a good decision by Sri Lanka to choose bowling after winning the toss, if Sri Lanka go for batting than it has chance to play without any pressure and to post a very good total but it looking now England again will win this match.

Sri Lanka have a steep target, don't have a good run rate and have already lost Perera. Doesn't look good for them. |

Sri Lankan team is performing below average and about to loose the match, this young side is not so impressive and they will be definitely missing senior players who already retired. |
