I just tried to mine at flypool & directed my mining payout to poloniex account.. I'm new to mining cryptocurrency..there are many things that i don't understand..maybe this is stupid question.. just want to ask: what does it mean by "PENDING 7 of 16" in status confirmation in deposit history in poloniex?? appreciate any help.. https://s22.postimg.org/fjr0thbxt/poloniex_payout.pngIt means that you'll be paid as soon as 16 other nodes within the network confirm the transaction to be legit. wait until you have 16 confirmations and your coin will be deposited to you wallet. BTW, there are no stupid question but there are stupid answers. we're all here to help eachother.

Each payment needs a certain amount of confirmations across the chain to confirm it is genuine. Ok.. thank you for the kind answer.. highly appreciate it... I think i need more reading to update my obsolete knowledge..

Hello, guys - I am new in mining and I wanna start with Zcash. I wanna use single GPU to start, and I wanna chose between Radeon RX 480 OR Radeon R9 280 or 290 - I need your advice and ideas. Will it be beneficial with single GPU? And how much H/s I can get with the cards I mention above? (any close idea?) thanks

This is the quote I was refering to:
"Memory bandwidth:
RX480: 256 GB/s 390X: 384 GB/s
ZEC uses a lot of memory operations. Do you still think that RX480 can work as fast as 390X?"
I never said the 480's can do as much as 390's Please read posts carefully Yes I know the differences that's why I said that the 480's can do better than what they do right now if tweaked as per their OWN advantages I also have 390x's and I am really happy with them although they burn much more than the 480's for those of us that do pay for electricity In terms of raw computing power, the 390 has 2560 processors, while the 480 only has 2304 cores. The 390 memory is also faster.

Claymore 280x (2048 cores) 1100/1750 -220h/s 470 (2048 cores) 1100/1750 -160h/s 30% That's very bad.

I never compared these 2 GPU's in my posts But since we are doing this please note that the 2304 cores of 480 are giving out in reality more than 2800 While the 390's in reality give out 2600 If I find the article from experts I will post it in my next post

(any close idea?) thanks 480 will be MUCH more power efficient. dont get a 280/380. a 280x/290 will be the best $ per sol/s for now. 390 is like a 290, but better (IMO). but not better on price. I'd say get a 480 with civ 6, that would be the best deal for the long run. check out my site if you need info of all kinds on crypto mining ! Up to you, but keep in mind 280x and 290s werent doing much profit 2 months ago because they are power hungry, but right now they are doing profit.

there's something called "core quality/performance".. Tahiti has been in the market since 2011, different improves in their releases (tahiti, tahiti xt, tahiti xl, tahiti superbigmac$5..etc) RX core (polaris) it's brand new...just few months since release.

Did ZEC's difficulty just double? I'm literally submitting half as many shares than I was an hour ago with the same hashrate. Or is it just flypool?

Next are you able to buy a new r9 290 with warranty? also a point to thing about, coz if the gpu stops to work you cant claim it without the warranty...... also dont expect too much income from 1 card, it will make you some bucks at the end of the month (if you are free of any eletricity payment then it will be more..)

share rate can flux but flypool is up to 15.6 MH before clay 8 flypool was at 12.8 MH

Reduce memclock almost twice to 1100 MHz on RX 480 - and you'll see that hashrate reduced only 200 -> 160 h/s. And Memory controller load still only 50%

share rate can flux but flypool is up to 15.6 MH before clay 8 flypool was at 12.8 MH FLY pool rised (finaly) sharediff from 1000 to 2000. So half less shares is same as before.
