Yesterday tested undervolting on my Giga RX 470 Gaming G1 4Gb.
On stock (1230/1650): Idle - 90 W/wall , Mining - 216-230 W/wall ( 75avg W in GPU-Z).
Undervolted -90mW in AB stock clocks : Indle - 90W/wall ( didnt measured , I gues it was same), Mining - 190-200 W/wall ( 52avg W in GPU-Z)
So its about 30 W less power usage . Anyone got same results ?
Hashrate was the same.
this is the whole system wattage right? no way a 470 uses 200watt they are capped at around 150 It's not 200W. RX 470 is doing around 5-10W in idle so if you take 230W and subtract 80W (mobo + psu + other stuff) it leaves you at 150W for GPU at the wall, so GPU is actually using around 130W if we assume that PSU has 85% efficiency.

Hi guys. Its me with the weird R9 280X doing 205 Sol/s
WALL: Idle: 155 - 160 W Mining: 290 - 310 W 135 - 150 W (I'm only using my R9 280X)
They do use some power when idling too, you need to add that to calculations. If you have one powered riser and a spare psu it is very easy to check. Wall - meter - psu - (riser + pcie power connectors), so only one psu that feeds only that one gpu connected to meter. That leaves only speculations for psu efficiency. I dont have any risers. I only use my main computer. But yea. What would be a precise way to measure it.

Hi guys. Its me with the weird R9 280X doing 205 Sol/s I know that my wattage seems weird and they are. I changed my wattage to 150W (my highest measurement) on the comparison page: https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/ZCash_mining_GPU_ComparisonI tryed to check my wattage even further and i used 2 different methods this time. 1. method is a high-grade wattage-meter sitting between my PC and the power plug. The meter is a Telco Sensors ST2300A aprooved by one of the biggest power-companys in Denmark (SEAS-NVE). 2. Method was calculating the wattage from the data showing in GPU-Z (Voltage multiplyed by Amps) And here is my results: WALL: Idle: 155 - 160 W Mining: 290 - 310 W 135 - 150 W (I'm only using my R9 280X) GPU-Z: VDDC: 1.133 - 1.146 V VDDC Current: 83 - 104 A 94 - 119 W Hi, what is the model of your R9 280x ? Its a Clud 3D R9 280X 3GB RoyalQueen

Anyone else dissapoint with the Nanopool ? Its paying consistently under what it should be for the h/s it displays by a good 15% and on top of that its not even showing the right h/s , its under by around 1000 h/s for my 15000 h/s
anyone seeing this as well ?

Hello guys. I just started configuring my first rig. I have 4 RX 470 gpus . It works just fine until i get this error :
WATCHDOG: GPU 2 hangs in OpenCL call, exit .
After that it tries to restart the system but actualy freeze it. I have 1200 PSU so power shouldn`t be a problem
Any idea what it can cause this ? I have enough virtual memory set. The Gpus are not modded or anything . Just stock
There seems to be a problem with atikmdag.sys Fail . I have 16 gb of Virtual Memory

I noticed that in Nanopool as well. I moved to flypool, but the displayed hash is consistently around 6% below reported locally. I moved to Dwarfpool, the displayed hash rate is 5% above reported rate, but the shares are 6-10% below right rate.

Only reasonable meter is wall.
At the moment i'm testing 470x and 480x. 480x doing 177sols with 110w.
What is your 470's doing with undervolting? 470 - 165 480 - 180 at the moment 2 cards in rig - 288W at wall. System eats 83-85. So cards eat about 105- 107w each.

For some reason after installing v8 my fans seems to be working much harder and louder...Everyone said that they got better speeds but the same watts but mine seems to be pushing the fans harder.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Nano pool has always been like that. I second that. I compared Nanopool for ETH, ETC and ZEC with the following pools: dwarfpool for ETH, ethc.epool.io for ETC, flypool and coinmine for ZEC. I must say that nanopool was giving 5-10% less earnings compared to the other pools. I also noticed that dwarfpool was giving exactly the same profit as the calculator www.whattomine.com was showing both for ETH and XMR (with Claymore Cryptonight miner). I think that Nano is delibarately showing an incorrect hashrate. Only the profit tests can show the real picture.

I've found the same as you, Dwarf has always been my favorite, it pays the best compared to every other ETH pool that I've used, I hope the same for ZEC.
