If anyone wants to buy a part of a 4 module with me, then let me know.  I will sell 50% of the 4 module (2 modules) for 82 btc.  I will host the Avalon provided we split the wattage cost which is about ~1kw-~1.2kw/hour.  The deal is through someone I bought part of an Avalon with already and he is willing to sell the whole unit to me.  So essentially earnings will be 50/50 and power bill will be 50/50.  I can even give transparency on the mining account too.  Max OC is predicted to be 109GH/S  so .5 of 109 = 54.66GH/S  To be conservative lets say its 105GH/S.

**actually i can do a better deal than 82btc, but I prefer 82 btc Smiley

The unit is running happily at 79 gigahashes on the pool.  It was slowly overclocked to 347 Mhz over the past 5 hours, both unit and temperatures have been stable. Calculations at this speed show ROI will be met.
what ambient temperature is in the place you are?

The room is at 64 degrees with plenty of fresh air.

The hottest sensor in the Avalon is reading at 63-64, the others are at 50 and 25.  My understanding from reading the Avalon users thread is that 70 degrees on a batch 3, is the old 50 degrees on batch 1 and 2 due to the new sensor.

I turned down the overclocking a bit and going to let these burn in for the next couple of days.  It is easy to get excited and turn it up.

i have my 3 module doing ~82ghash/sec   73-85F room temperature on a 850w Seasonic Gold Modular P/S.

My question is what is the most one of you guys have pushed your Batch #2 or #3 to?

I am curious to know your frequency and how hot your sensors are reading in that environment.

Thanks! Smiley

Received 4 mod Avalon today... nicely packed, but 9db antenna is missing... have to find replacement! Came with 101.24BTC invoice and they read BTC symbol = $, so that saved quite lot!

hashing 82.5 gh/s   I want to OC it more...who has experience with OC it past 85gh/s?

I am considering a box fan OR using my Portable AC 10000 BTU Unit  OR  lowering temp in my apartment to 73F 24/7

They stated all batches after the first come with NO accessories or power cords.

So no antenna is normal.

Hi greaterninja,

It is great to be able to compare.  Did you enable either --avalon-auto or --avalon-fans on this configuration?

Regarding your overclocking questions, the unit is basically new. I would let it run at this rate for another few days, before pushing it past 85gh/s.  The extra cooling will definitely be needed if you have a sensor at 71.

I work with hardware and have previous experience pushing other types of gear really hard.  This is my first BTC miner, figured I would treat it like the rest of my equipment.

Thanks for the numbers!

Hey man.

--avalon-auto    is my other setting.  i am running tests at 375.   at 350 I get 83.x gh/s tops.      I am going to try hooking up a portable A/C and maybe a box fan when I get home.

Pay close attention to your HW Error rate.  At a certain point overclocking only produces more errors, not more hashes!

customs are just doing their job... stupid avalon team could have print an invoice in dollars instead of sending
the invoice in an "unknown" "local" currency!
are they out of printers  Huh

I'm using it. I used the 20130723 firmware for a couple of hours and switch to this latest one. I didn't notice any performance differences.

I finally got my 3 module Asic today. Order #67xx. So far everything works perfectly.
It was delivered to EU, luckily Avalon had put USD value on the box in addition to the BTC invoice, so customs used that value. The hassle with customs was therefore minimal.

I just added a 4th Batch#3 module to my 3 module Batch#3.

I am using a 850w Seasonic Gold P/S

Status   MHS5s   MinerCount   AsicCount    Frequency   Fan1    Fan2    Fan3    Temp1   Temp2   Temp3   NMW   Firmware
Alive      72942.16       24                         10               325                2400    0     2520               28             65           57           2             20130723

Is the 24 Minercount and 10 asicCount #s right for a 4 module?

It does not seem they are right.
