I also highly recommend Kalroth's version of cgminer! The xIntensity feature allowed me use 2 threads with my 7950, getting it to hash on par with my 7970! http://k-dev.net/cgminer/You're getting over 700KH/s from a 7950? If this can be confirmed that'll be a mini-game changer for mining. I'm getting 700 now from my sapphire 4L 7950s. What temperature are your cards running at and what is the ambient temp? I'm thinking if it's not to bad, I should make the switch...

Ok I have been playing around in power options > Advanced options,
PCI Express | Link State Power Management:
and I switched this to MAXIMUM and then I TRIED moderate i think:
And I think this is the reason I have been having issues, after around 30 min my miner goes cold and basically off?
I now changed it to OFF and now it seems all good. I guess I should not have touched this? Any comments, expereinces with this?

I guess I should not have touched this?
Yes. Do not touch this. If your rig smelled of burning plastic its most likely not safe, triple check your power connections. Next time you may not be so lucky.

Glad to see payouts are looking good again today! After mining to a down server for 1/2 the day yesterday. I use GUIminer for my rigs. And yes, I know CGminer is better yadayadayda. Anyone know if there is a way to set up a fall over server in GUIminer? I get a much better ping to the useast server, but would like to have it set to fall over to middlecoin.com if useast is down. Thanks!

I haven't seen a response from h20 in here for a while, you may want to hit him up on twitter w/your address to maybe get some traction. Are you load balancing with another pool? Your stats are super spiky!

I'm using 4 as XIntensity (not the normal -I) and two threads with -g
Since the 7950 1 got 1792 shaders, X:4 should equal 7168 threads and X:5 should equal 8960 threads. Intensity 13 equals 8192 threads, so neither X:4 and X:5 hits it exactly. You can use --rawintensity for even finer control, but it's hard to guess what would work though. I'd start with 7168 and work my way up, maybe increase by 64 every time. 1 7950 specs: http://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/307/radeon-hd-7950.html

I also highly recommend Kalroth's version of cgminer! The xIntensity feature allowed me use 2 threads with my 7950, getting it to hash on par with my 7970! http://k-dev.net/cgminer/You're getting over 700KH/s from a 7950? Been running all night at 669KH/s, so close! I'm using 4 as XIntensity (not the normal -I) and two threads with -g Nice, the 7950's are cheaper than many of the other options. Does anyone know if the 7950's use more/less power than the R9 280's? The R9 280's were kings in terms of price/hashrate/power usage but I am wondering if the 7950's with sgminer can beat them... Thanks in advance.

Hmmm the amsterdam server and the useast server have serious issues.
A lot of disconnects on Amsterdam and a lot of rejects and stales on useast.
