Bought 2 antminer s3's yesterday!
Never gonna preorder from a new chinese company again. Any ideas on how to possibly get money from china back or is it game over for us???
the irony in that is so delectable. Bitmaintech is a chinese company. Black arrow is not new, they released a lancelot fgpa miner. I really don't think you can. Minersource got the shitty end of the stick being a us based reseller. Pretty sure if you purchased directly from black arrow your money is gone.

Antminer S3's are a preorder. They aren't shipping and there is no guarantee they ever will.

Although given bmt and their history there is NO reason to believe they will not ship. They are most likely tested and in production now. Bitmain seems to have their shit together and as was stated isn't run buy eurotrash.

I wouldn't hesitate preordering from them as sirsmokesalot pointed out, they're most likely already in the final assembly stage.

I agree with you guys... but its silly to post and in effect say "I just preordered from a Chinese company... but I'll never preorder from a Chinese company". Completely agreed, I would go as far as to bet someone that the first miners actually start to ship before the 10th!

I guess it's getting time for the refund option indeed. Unfortunately, I have to knock on BA's door...
+1 Now we pretty much know they're not even shipping the X1's, otherwise they'd be in here bragging about nonsense per usual.
If there would be deliveries, there would be public tracking numbers and pictures of pallets full of miners around to ease the ppl that funded all this mess. I don't talk about those handful unfinished units that a few got. +1 exactly -- asked them the same thing, no tracking info though, proving that there's nothing to track yet :( -- still... I suggest, MS should make a combination of both a cancellation offer and some kind of compensation whereby they throw in one additional free machine (so we get the profitability we calculated when placing the order and sending payment. That was back in Feb or March, BTW)... Other manufacturers (for example Mining ASICs Tech B. V. in the Netherlands) are doing exactly that, seriously: they compensate through "buy one and get one free"! And so should MS after those MASSIVE delays.

I am sure, they will deliver the X3 "next week". "One week" is the new "2 weeks" from Butterfly Labs fame. Lesson learned, never pre-order any miners that come from a "Lab" or "Software" company. If you absofuckinglutely have to order any mining equipment, make sure it's from a "Tech" company. Bitmain and Spondoolies, I see you!

what the fuk is going on BA ??
Exactly. It is JULY now, fuck it, no rush. They might as well spend time to develop their next AWESOME chip and just get those out. Again, pathetic Black arrow, absolutely pathetic.

last week i read that the X1 was shipping batch 1. i still do not have my shipping update which leads me to believe that (1) even though i paid for a batch one product you conveniently changed it to batch 2 or (2) you are not ready for shipment for any batch. In any case, kindly remove your cranium from your nether regions and get a move on. you are quickly becoming another AMT of the bitcoin mining community in my book.

A statement from Black Arrow regarding their promise to ship on February 24th 2014: ...
We've started the design in June. The only difference between us and our competitors is that we do not give unrealistic time frames which we know we cannot meet.
We are confident that we will deliver sooner but we do not make promises that we might not be able to fulfill.
It's now July 2014 and the X3 design is still not complete: ...
Following a thorough reviewing, the X-3 backplane has been put in production. The first batch will be delivered this weekend. We have several designs to our disposal and we have to decide which one was the best choice. We will be able to inform our customers on the X-3 shipping schedule within a few days.
...
-- Bitcoin Miners progress update - 27th of June 2014
4 months past the stated shipping date and this thing is still on the drawing board? Oh, and by-the-way "a few days" have already passed. Shipping next week? lol turns out, not everyone can manage a project out there... :( I mean, delays in all kinds of projects, IT or otherwise, is nothing new; but there's a certain line that should not be crossed, at least not in a client-facing context like here with MS and their less-than-wonderful Chinese partners over there. If they do (cross that line, that is), they need to compensate accordingly -- and I do not mean any measly 24hr or 1wk hosted "compensation" plans but throwing in a FREE 2nd machine and/or making true order cancellation offers with a full refund. "Buy one and get one free" -- others are doing exactly that, and in light of recent performance (or lack of it) MS should do this as well!

The best thing out of this whole Black Arrow debacle is being introduced to Miner Source. They are a good company.
+1, they did right by me for sure.

Black Arrow Software is in the top 3 shit companies in Bitcoin world
At this point, best case scenario they're a BFL, worst case scenario they're a Hashfast. Unfortunately supposedly Josh's trolling generated more orders which allowed the BFL Ponzi to slightly perform eventually, in this case BA's combativeness and trolling can't work because it just makes them look like losers compared to a few competitors now. I use the term "competitors" very loosely because those other companies have actually produced a product. Personally I think they are the worst. They had a good marketing message in the beginning and used it to pull one over on people who had been burned elsewhere. They knew what could happen and charged forward anyway - be that incompetency or scaming - either way they earn the #1 place for worst BTC company in my book. At least BFL shipped first generation jalapeno miners to me in time to more than break even with them in fiat, which is what I paid for them (yeah buying BTC with my fiat would have been much better). After that everyone who bothered to do research knew the risk they were taking making an order with BFL's reputation. Hashfast smelled like a company who had no idea what they were getting into from the beginning.
