Bitmain S1 has no PSU included.

In apparence X1 will have better heat dissipation ( less heat to dissipate, dissipator applyed directly on chip case, dissipator with heatpipes ). I know it's not time to think on MTBF, but we should know that in efficiency terms every mW/Ghs gained from now will not be as easy as we are used to see, so why not think about this.

Said this, I only add that time frame for odds X1 buyers to make his choises is closing every day and BA doesn't say anything else in addiction to last compensation policy.

Bye bye BA...... Cry

If prosperos will be a great product I'll buy more @ second market Grin

I am still quite confused as to how come the rest of the hardware is not ready when the ASIC chips were delayed by a few months?

eg. cases not made yet, is that for real?

Haven't read an explanation for that.

+1 - thats what seems odd to me aswell. Could be some stuff about the efficiency etc, but i'd argue that the pcb, the backplane etc. could have been done. Would think the last stuff to be fixed would be the heatsink - due to the unknown need for cooling and the powersupply.

That is a very valid point chap, I think we are in for more delays.

That is a very valid point chap, I think we are in for more delays.

This was discussed a while back. They need to know the specs of the finished chip such as wattage, package size, pinout, thermal properties, etc. Until this is known they can't design the heatsinks. The case can't be designed until the heatsinks are done, etc.

Granted, their communication sucks but I think we all knew in the back of our heads to expect delays when we ordered last year. I did anyway. The way I see it, I bought a bunch of Block Erupters last fall and didn't expect to really make even close to ROI but I didn't care. They were cheap and an easy way for me to get into Bitcoin. Fast-forward 9 months and I've made more than 3x what I paid for everything, I feel confident I'll do the same with these.

Food for thought, nothing more.

Good idea... personally i think it is a Hong Kong Small Claims Court job now if you want a refund and they are not processing the request immediately

BA will not give you your initial BTC amount back you probably will get around 0,8 BTC as they will recalculate the BTC based on the exchange rate of today.

That is BS! i got a refund about 2 months ago when i realised the shit was going to hit the fan and i got the exact same amount of btc back and BA told me then that they are not an investment company so cannot give the usd value back but only the exact number of coins. However btc/usd has dropped since then so the coins you get will not be worth as much as when you paid.

The point is that they are a HK registered company and so must abide by HK laws. I will pay $100 usd to anyone who takes them to Small Claims Court and does not win because that is how confident i am that you would be successful. Once you have won at small claims court which is actually very easy (no lawyers are allowed, there are no costs if you fail, the adjudicator listens to both parties then awards or throws out the case) and if you win you get a writ of fifo that allows you to go to BA office and confiscation anything you like with the bailiffs in-tow. These things can then be put in government auction to pay back the debt owed. I know what i am talking about as have done it before and been successful.

The Problem is getting to the HK to defend myself would be a lot more than what I would get back.

Again, how much evidence do we need that they are speculating with customer funds? Also, if this anecdote is true, look how transparently scammy the customer service is, spinning this fraud as something somehow appropriate.

They are clearing inventory of the older Bitfury devices.  Looks like they need cash.
Not a good sign.

I would buy one but the minimum quantity is 10.  Strange thing is you can buy just one power adapter.

I had resell the GH/s to my customers and I can't deliver due to BA non-shipping-fraud. Am insolvent and out of business. I promised weekly payouts, but I have no hardware to mine Bitcoins.

You should not have sold your GH/s before you got your miners.

I tried to contact BA about buying the needed PSUs and the reply was to wait for another update sometime soon. I would hold off buying PSUs for compensation units until BA post another announcement. I hope any hardware delays are not as bad as the Coincraft fiasco earlier this year. I can't believe that Chinese know-off miners where available with the A1 chip before prepaid customer orders where filled. I hope BA does not follow that path.
