News: Due to a wallet-migration bug, you should not upgrade Bitcoin Core. But if you already did, there's no need to downgrade.

Some positive critics is also necessary for healthy growth and development and that I also will do. This is actually suggestion because I care more of Ethereum and want it to keep playing its role in the progress of tokens. Instead of working on things it will be better to review the whole code once again to identify existed bugs to fix them before introducing more complicated ones.

what made eth special? It had smart contracts. What limits ethereum from mainstream? It’s speed and cost

what makes eth special now is its massive jump start on everything else in the space. does anyone truly believe any of the new competitors coming onto the scene will not have problems of their own as they start their own blockchains? EOS and ADA have absurd valuations for vapor at the moment. and that's indicative of the crypto market as a whole. especially EOS, the price is purely speculative at the moment and everyone is pricing it as if it will meet its ideal scenario without any hiccups along the way which, as we all know, never is the case.

Look at how many Ethereum ICOs accepted both ETH and BTC in the early days of Ethereum. It didn't really affect ETH did it?

Wow! That's a classic. Each and every beginning has a humble start.
Either be it multi-national companies such as Apple, HP, etc. or next multi-billion dollar blockchain projects.

ICOs are not affecting eth coin or its price after all ICOs owners wants eth price up after funds raised
but i think eth is affecting by its competitors
right now many competitors are trying to be better then eth and making better platform then ETH coin
EOS is one of them and i think at the top of eth's competitors.
but i don't think eth dev will remains silent and do nothing.
they will develop eth network more secure and faster and that's the only way to survive and remains top in the market

All these tasks will soon be resolved and nothing will stop growth.

i was a big ethereum supporter back then, still think their team is pretty good though. Plasma/casper/raiden are good stuff

I hope the ETH development will be as good as ever.

Ethereum has rebounded quite recently, but I think it is not just a big rebound in the fall process. Investors should always pay attention to risk.

So he's going to boycott Consensus just because Coindesk copy/pasted a scam article? Mmm ok but seems not a good reason to boycott the biggest conference of the year honestly

You only discuss about price...
Let me ask a question, someone have a timeline for Casper, Plasma and sharding? What happened with Raiden network? They had an ICO but it's being developed? Anyone is using it?

It is all under full development but you should always keep in mind for any significant development that a lot of testing is required before it can be fully implemented. There is so much at risk.

I strongly agree with you on that, without testing on internal test nets, on ropsten etc...you can't update a chain because if something go wrong  you fuck up a lot money. It's not that esay like most people think

It's often a huge contradiction if you will. They can't get the updates fast enough and want everything to be rolled out within a blink of an eye, but if there is a tiny bug being found in the code the dumping starts right away Cheesy

I think Vitalik's boycott will not do anything and the conference will take place.

Ya, it will likely still take place...but I'm with Vitalik on this one. Coindesk is just another news pumper for Ripple. I stopped frequenting that site for exactly the reason Vitalik pointed out: shitty content, with the occasional blatant scam linked right in.
