We must be more patience due to however the technology behind of the ethereum is still new in the world, it can be called as beta version give time for the developer of team to fix the scaling issues in ethereum's platform and any other related with the technology of ethereum, at least we know that ethereum has good potential in the future to change the world to be more better than right now.

You still need to get 51% of the hashrate for that. And the hashrate is 215TH/s every second, 24H a day. I don't think one can choose the tx to hash for.

For half a billion dollar worth of eth, one could find a way, or at least give it a go.

I don't think you understand the magnitude of what you're talking about. It's possible, but far far down on the scale of likelihood.

What do you guys think about the possibility of a telecom attack? Hacking or bribing a few big internet access points, spamming that you are the fastest exit to all eth nodes and send the traffic to oblivion, but let one personal node and miner run. That could be a less expensive alternative way to reach the pot would it grow to half a billion $.

After many debates and EIPs, Ethereum's Vitalik Buterin and Vlad Zamfir have finally proposed a transition to Proof-of-Stake algorithm, which will be self-sustained after August 15th, 2018.

I don't see any abnormal movement, though, hence BTC is trying to consolidate so far. It's not moving, stuck or a sudden down whatever cause people are selling to buy Bitcoin.

It's getting down in terms of bitcoin valuation. People are selling to rush in the bitcoin ETF but it has been getting delayed till September. I guess there will be a slightly increase after the end of bitcoin hype for ETF. Maybe we will see that next week.
