As a learning experience I have updated the Octocoin wallet to the latest upstream Litecoin 0.10.2.2 source.  A new repository has been setup at https://github.com/octocoin-project/octocoin.  I have published the updated source.  It's fully compatible with the existing 1.8.0.0 client and does not require a hard fork.  I have added some checkpoints to this new version.

Once final testing is complete I will cut a release tag and post download links for the wallets.
After that it's a matter of fixing up small details in docs to say Octocoin instead of Litecoin.  Help is appreciated.

OCTO is the new Counterparty token that was created when we burned about 20 million Octocoins. We are not associated with Octocoin or any development. I am interested to see what will happen with Octocoin, if anything does happen, now that they have a wallet.

We did pay for a block explorer that OCTO paid to put up during our burn. I believe we paid for this for 1 year so it should be up until next March.

I don't think there are any built wallets based on the new version yet, but you can download the latest source from https://github.com/octocoin-project

That's the version I'm running on my pool.

Hopefully myfirst is busy working on getting some wallets compiled.

Coins have an interesting name. coin is difficult to extract. soon there will be a reduction award twice. besides many coins were destroyed.
there are all indicators of a rare coin. someone has to do support. I understand the creators refused further support? virtakoin with the same situation, however coin found its admirers.

I still own Octocoin... and I missed you so much dj that i just had to come back. I said I was glad to see someone build an Octocoin wallet. That's not promoting OCTO.
