Haha Thanks bhai! You were quick to reply lol. was editing hehehe Yeah atm English team checks all the boxes, at least for me. that's why I consider them as hot favourite team in this world cup. but Cricket is funny game. we have witness in past that how strong team crumbles when times comes and England record is very bad in this regard. Having said that if in this edition England failed to win the World Cup then they should forget the trophy for next decade as well because its arguably one of the their strongest team in ODI so far.
EDIT : Hales dropped from all England squads after drugs ban https://www.cricbuzz.com/cricket-news/107754/alex-hales-withdrawn-from-all-england-cricket-squads-icc-world-cup-2019

True. By the way, while I have doubt about the team England but I will be looking for some personal achievements. I think some players will have fantastic time in the world cup. For example: Jonny Bairstow Jos Buttler Ben Stokes Moeen Ali Adil Rashid

Moeen Ali in IPL-20 20 league and Moeen Ali in 50 over match are 2 different player but again he's good all rounder as well and I have seen many batsmen take him very lighty when he bowls(big mistake) but he always gets job done for his team. Adil is good too, just like every other wristy he can surprise opponent teams. If you look closely then you will find each player in English Team is match winner. But I personally would like to see some quality batting from Joe Root ( against India and Australia)

West Indies has some of the best players in the world, but their team bonding is not very strong. If they bond together as a team, then they will be able to beat the strongest teams out there. But when that doesn't happen, then they can go down even to the minnows, like what happened in 1996 against Kenya. One advantage for them is that the pacers such as Shannon Gabriel, Kemar Roach and Ashley Nurse can prove very efficient in England, as the ground conditions will allow a lot of swing and seam movement.
@Sithara007 West Indies team have a dangerous squad as all their batsmen, and even their bowlers are known to hit big shots consistently. These players have proven to single handedly change the outcome of a match when they’re in form, hence bonding should not be a issue for them. We all should not underestimate their capabilities to cause upsets, cause all they need is 20 overs to do the damage as most of them are t20 specialists.

They are T20 specialists and not ODI specialists. In ODI, you need to build you innings and there is a need to bat patiently (especially if the conditions are supportive to bowling). But I don't know whether these players have that capability or not. West Indies has some of the best players in the world, but their team bonding is not very strong. Honestly, I don't even know who Gabriel and Nurse are. I heard of Roach before, but he seemed like a decent bowler and nothing special. West Indies stand no chance of reaching the quarters in my opinion due to the team bonding element problem that you mentioned. They are very good bowlers and all of them are performing well right now. Shannon Gabriel had a very good series against England this year. And Kemar Roach picked up 18 wickets in 3 tests during the same series (He was the one who bowled out ENG for just 77 during the first test).

I think England has a goodd batting line up and they will do pretty well since it's there home ground. Bairstaw is having huge performance, he will have a good journey. And I don't think Stokes will exhibite a god performance, he has passed his golden era, LOL.
Hey, just noticed you are wearing bustadice signature, you are accepted. Good job man. It is one of the lucrative campaign right now.

IPL performances do not necessarily mean that the players will perform in the same manner in the World cup or tests for that matter. ODIs and Tests are a different ball game altogether. However, England has a huge advantage since they have already adapted to the conditions.

If somehow England reach the World Cup Final and manage to lose then I would like to see Michael Vaughan, Nasser Hussain and Micheal Holding reaction One can say about that Stokes but I like him as a cricketer so would like to see him bounce back in the world cup. Thanks, I just got lucky bro!! ~snip~ IPL performances do not necessarily mean that the players will perform in the same manner in the World cup or tests for that matter. Yes, agreed completely different ballgame..... But English batsmen were performing exceptionally well in White ball Cricket for quite some time that's why they are NO 1 team and still in very good form.

South Africa may be the team that is going to surprise everyone this time. I still remember the semi-final between South Africa and Australia 20 years back. The match was tied, but Australia progressed to the finals due to the higher run rate. Till that match, everyone were expecting that South Africa would be the team that was going to win the trophy.

I think they are the dark horses in this tournament(Not West Indies). Too many people underestimate them due to their choking tag, but this time might be different. They have an amazing lineup which I feel is the best one in ages. I think they will easily make it to the semis, but I am not sure after that point.

South Africa has one of the most impressive bowling lineup among all teams. With Rabada and Ngidi in fast bowling department, South African opening bowling duo is fastest among all. Also Dale Steyn showed in IPL this season that there is still lot of cricket left in him. With his experience, it is not exaggeration to say that SA has best fast bowling. The spin department will be led by Imran Tahir and everyone of us know how dangerous he is currently. So SA surely has World Cup winning bowling but do they have WC winning batting department? In short, NO! Du Plessis and David Miller, both are offtune is ongoing IPL so middle order will suffer much. Only de Kock is in form batsman for SA. SA may be one of the competent side but I am not seeing them as a winner with this team after the introduction of this new format.

I agree with your points(Specifically the batting part), but they could get back in form during the tournament itself and their experience will help in such a format. Du Plessis and Miller could be devastating on their day which is why they still have a great chance at lifting the cup.

Both of them are world class batsman no doubt but the problem is the format of World Cup this time. It isn't like old one where team has to play group matches and then knockouts. Now every team has to play with all other participants. In new format, it is hard for an off-form player because you have to be consistent in every game. Single or few good innings won't matter. Every team need at least 3-4 batsmen who could bat at the average of 45+ throughout the tournament.

I think they are the dark horses in this tournament(Not West Indies). Too many people underestimate them due to their choking tag, but this time might be different. They have an amazing lineup which I feel is the best one in ages. I think they will easily make it to the semis, but I am not sure after that point. Their critics are right when they say that the Proteas are chokers. This has happened in almost all the major tournaments. Even after all these years, they haven't learned how to keep their cool under pressure situations. They are perhaps the best fielding side out there, and their batting and bowling would rank among the top 4. But despite all this, they lack the ability to win close matches. That's why I would rather favor a team like NZ to be in the semis instead of South Africa.

What you said is right but this time I will bet that SA will finish after NZ or in other words , SA will do better than NZ this world cup . Kya Raja bhai. subah subah Don't scare us with this kind of news, its early morning here in my time zone This guy is fighter and I really don't want him to miss the world cup. I am sure he can be 100% fit with in 20 days. He wasn't in a very good form too actually , I am more impressed and keen to see Warner in world cup than Steve.

New format? I didn't know about this to tell you the truth. Damn. This makes the tournament tougher when compared to how it was in the past. However, I still feel that SA have a great chance at lifting the cup thanks to the fitness and experience aspects. Amla, Miller, Du plessis etc can get the job done since they have an awesome bowling lineup.

Indeed they have solid lineup of batsmen. If somehow England reach the World Cup Final and manage to lose then I would like to see Michael Vaughan, Nasser Hussain and Micheal Holding reaction If England manages to reach final, I doubt they will lose if the opponent is not Australia. Australia is likely to be the champion this time. Alex Hales will miss the world cup due to taking drug. It's sad for him and team England as well.
