We're seeing big totals by English team for a while now. Within the last 8 matches, they've succeeded in scoring 300+ runs in all of them.

If you look at their high scoring totals both the openers or at least one will be scoring a big century most of the time, be it  Roy or Bairstow and then Root and Morgan will keep the score board ticking with almost the same runs per over and occasional boundaries and then Buttler and Stokes will put the finishing touches and the score will be 350 plus  , Buttler is the most destructive batsmen in present day cricket and the way in which he score runs is flawless.

Today we should have some tough match between India vs OZ as both team looks good and are a balanced side. Overall it should not be a one side match and should go till last over if things go well and their is full 50 overs match without any rain or showers.

My outright prediction is that Australia will win the cup this year too. The final will be in between India and Australia. England will be eliminated by either Australia or India in the semi.

So, technically we are watching the demo of the final match today :-D

Something seriously looks awkward with David Warner's performance today. He's literally treating this ODI match like a test match; I hope he does something good before it's too late for Australia. They've got a huge target to chase, dots and singles can't cover it all, at all!

Nah, if this was T20 then I would bet for West Indies. They have no chance. My bet is for Australia to win the cup but the way they are betting, I am a bit shaken. They really need to chase the run instead of playing test match. :-P

This is called Safe play. If any of these teams win i will claim my predictions are always right

If you have confidence on Australia, you should not change your mind on the bases on a single match. Australia is still a strong team to win the cup even if they lost today.
Now they need almost 10 runs per over if they want to win this match.

The game is still on. Australia is still making runs and they have a good number of wickets on hand. This run rate is not far behind of India at the same point. It's all about how good can they bat against Indian bowlers and will they be able to hold their wickets.

There isn't not much of mistakes from India. The entire team is contributing good in all area from batting, bowling and fielding still the hands of Australia team high. If the run out of Aron Finch hasn't taken place now Australia could have recorded its winning against India. Now the match had got turned towards India as Australia has lost six wickets for 244. As there is no front order batsman India seems to keep the match under control.

If Australia did not loose 3 wickets in quick succession they could have come closer too  , that is cricket one mistake is enough to get out as a batsman, the probability to win from this situation is zero, Bhuvneshwar Kumar changed the game in one over by trapping Smith and cleaning Marcus Stoinis in three balls and now Maxwell is back in the pavilion and the required rate is climbing which is not easy to chase from this situation.

Rapid fall of wickets had been detrimental for the chase of Australia. With the 7th down, they'd need some magical moment now to win this match. India is nearing a win though this match had been a tight competition. The three quick fall of wicket put Australia far behind India.

62 runs required in last 24 balls and match is getting little tough for OZ as 7 wickets have fallen. But Carrey is batting and finding the boundary in every over. If India can have Carrey then they win the match easily.

And India wins this. They rise on the table and presents themselves as one of the best team in this tournament. They are just behind New Zealand who are on top with 3 wins on 3 while India has 2 wins on 2. All of other teams would now have a loss. It would be wonderful to watch New Zeland playing with India.

Hot favourite India won their 2nd match in ICC world cup.Australia is a strong side for sure but I would say India easily has beaten them.I think India was superb in the batting, specially Dhawan made a wonderful century, kohli,Pandya contributed decent amount of runs.India is going to the Semi final for sure.

If my prediction is correct then I want either New Zealand or England to take the cup and also want to see both the team to play in final... just don't want other two to take the cup or even be the runners-up.

I agree with you that NZ hasn't faced any strong teams yet and the losing streak for NZ yet to come.
But also you cannot deny the fact that NZ is in good form now if we compare with their last few years performances.

Still I kept NZ in semi-finals in my prediction because I'm struggling to find another better team to replace with NZ. What's your pick?

My picks for semi-finals:

1. England
2. India
3. Australia
4. West Indies/Pakistan (this slot will probably be filled up by the team having a better run rate)

I am also sure with these picks for Semi finals but preferring Pakistan because they can do any upset right now and go through West indies is also unpredictable but still need some time.

England have a great chance to lift the world cup as they have one the best batting side in the entire tournament but they weak link is their bowling and i do not see them scoring 350 runs all the time and if they score that much then they might win with the bowling unit they have now, looking at the current tournament India does have a well balanced side with some top quality bowlers and if their openers are firing like today they will pose huge totals and they have the bowlers to back it up, New Zealand does need someone to play the anchor role and rotate the strike if they need to pose any challenge to England , India and Australia.

I think we just saw an early semi final match between India and Australia. I thought both teams played well but India were just too good for Australia on the day. India were very good in the field with two run outs in the match and their bowling was a lot better then Australia so congrats to them on winning the match as they deserved it. I still think Smith and Warner are still a match or two away before hitting top form but they are batting well considering they have been out of the game for over 1 year.
