I had to switch into the game at the very late minute due to my anticipation for the UCl games tonight. From the few minutes I watched, Villa was very dominant, as they where fully in control. At some point, I was wondering if I switched into a wrong game, because the Liverpool I know don't usually sit back like that, defending like they did.

It now seem like their performance has dropped lately, compared to the momentum they had in the first half of the season. They dropped two points in the Everton game, and won with a narrow win against Wolves. Now, they've dropped points again, which will definitely give arsenal  some momentum and motivation to win their next game, so as to reduce the point gap. Manchester city will be up next against Liverpool at the Etihad. A very big test for slot this time.

Before the start of the match, I kept Liverpool as a favorite. I expected Liverpool to win but the result was different. I also placed a bet on Liverpool but it didn't go as expected. I would say Liverpool consistency is guaranteed because the remaining days of the premier League is lesser than the long journey they have come and 70 percent has been achieved and till now their consistency has not dried, inconsistency is a work of injury but they don't have much that will make them less performing. About Everton they have a long list of people who are too dip on the injury they are having, is up to six players, so if they are unable to beat Liverpool with completeness I no they can't do it incomplete, so actually because of the absent players I'm okay to go with any odd of Liverpool because they have set the rope for Aston Villa, just the matter of little strength.

I am also sure about consistency of Liverpool because a team having 18 wins and 1 lost from their 25 games never let this down easily while their squad depth is amazing and their attack is also at his best under Mohammad Salah supervision 60 goals scored and just 24 conceded just Arsenal is better with 22 goals.

Liverpool lost 2 points in the match where they played superiorly. It was a very high quality match and even though the score ended 2-2-, the excitement was at its peak. However, before the second goal scored by Aston Villa, there was a handball and VAR did not intervene. I guess it was commented that the ball came to hand from close range.
Darwin Nunez is definitely not a Liverpool forward. He also came on as a substitute in Liverpool's match against Plymouth, but he was not effective. Yesterday he entered the game again later, but again there was no effect. Towards the last minutes of the match, he threw the ball out of the empty goal. If he had scored from this position, Liverpool would have left the field with 3 points, but it didn't happen.

That was hell of a game and I'm very regretful for not watching it from the beginning.    I wanted to watch the Real Madrid - Manchester City game but it was a really boring one as Manchester City didn't answer in any way.

Anyways coming back to the Aston Villa - Liverpool one, it was a really tough one for Liverpool. They could have even lost if Malen didn't waste a huge opportunity in the last moments. I must admit that I didn't expect such a resistance by Aston Villa. Their recent form was just telling me that they would lose against the leader. Now another chance is at the door for Arsenal. If they manage to beat West Ham home the gap will be 5 points. Still not good enough for firing up the title competition but okay.

I don't think so.  I expect Aston Villa to lose in the next match. This team has not won any  of their last four matches. They have drawn three matches and lost one . Even though their opponents were not that strong, Aston Villa failed to win. It is impossible to resist a strong team like Liverpool with such a poor performance. I expect liverpool to win in this match. And my guess is that Liverpool will beat Aston Villa by at least 2 goals. I am going to bet on liverpool to win this match.

Statistically, Liverpool is supposed to win Aston Villa without stress but due to the current decline of Liverpool still makes it hard to predict them to win directly because with how they performed in their last away game against Everton, it may be difficult for them to win Aston Villa from away and moreover, in their last four games from away in all competitions they were only able to win just one match, lost two and draw one which is to say that their form from away is not good enough hence same thing can happen against Aston Villa today. Aston Villa's form currently is not that bad, and since it is the only match in the premier league today i am expecting similar result as it was when Liverpool met Everton last Wednesday and it was also the only premier league match that day.

I would not call Liverpool on some "decline" at the moment. Yeah they did lose that FA cup game which everyone was shocked, but at the same time we have seen plenty of teams not care about FA cup and that's why they lose, which could be the case here as well.

Analyzing the stats in the full time, this was a game Liverpool could have won with the least 4 goals but they wasted every goal opportunity particularly the goal missed by Darwin Nunez right in front of goal post. It was very disappointing to have shared the points increasing their deficit with Arsenal just waiting to close in on them. It was a brilliant performance from Aston villa and they should be given that respect for shoving a point from this game from the league leaders.

You are right, I was not satisfied with Liverpool game yesterday, they attacked a lot but did not score. I expected that they would easily beat Villa, who are in ninth place in the points table, but the draw exposed Liverpool weaknesses. Their defensive weaknesses are clear. Aston Villa played a great game within their capabilities. I admire their strength that they played very well against Liverpool who are at the top. Liverpool draw is a bit of a setback in the race for points. Their points are 61 in 26 matches, which is eight points more than Arsenal who are in second place. If Arsenal win their next match Liverpool top position could be challenged.
