Who is the third-party provider that they are using for buy and sell functionality?

In my country (Germany) it's mostly MoonPay for selling coins and Transak or MoonPay for buying coins. Possible payment methods are for me SEPA bank transaction, Apple Pay/Google Pay, PayPal, Visa/Mastercard. At least that's what is offered to me when I look for selling or buying offers in GingerWallet 2.0.17.

In both cases there's a notification where you can accept one of the displayed offers:

By clicking Accept, I acknowledge that the transaction may later require AML/KYC verification by the third-party provider.

This would be particularly helpful for people trying to make .apk builds of this as you can have the wallet listen to connections on the local network and then connect to it from your phone or tablet.

While we do see the potential and understand the interest in having an Android controller, at this stage we are focusing on other priorities that are more aligned with our current roadmap. As a result, adding Android controller support is not part of our short-term plans, but we will certainly keep it in mind for future development.

It's a well-made video that showcases its feature, but I have to admit that the attractive AI model was a bit distracting. If you're planning on releasing in-depth video tutorials soon, it'd probably be better to keep only her voice.

Anyone having sync issues? I have a wallet (connected to a hardware wallet) on GingerWallet, but it doesn't show the most recent inputs, all of them are inputs from just one address, as they are signature campaign payments (4 new inputs are missing).

Every time I reopen the wallet, it shows the same result, the same happens when I sync. I deleted the wallet and restored it again, the same problem happens.

The wallet doesn't sync fully since previous versions, I'm currently on v2.0.18.0

I thought about GingerWallet hiding balances on the same address to avoid reuse, but I didn't find anything related to settings.

You need to be more specific. From what i know, you probably refer to Ginger's built in buy/sell Bitcoin feature where it connects you to one of 3rd party/centralized exchange. In that case, it doesn't mean you need KYC for Ginger Wallet.

I'm testing Gingerwallet again. I've changed this value several times, and it's currently set to 0.0 BTC. The inputs from the same address didn't appear, but that's ok.


We know it's possible to restore a wallet in Gingerwallet using the 12-word recovery phrase together with the password (which is the extension of the BIP39 mnemonic). However, can I optionally make backups of the file saved locally as well?

In this case, 2 wallet files are saved: "wallet.json" and "wallet.attr". Do I need these two files to restore the wallet on another computer through Gingerwallet?

The wallet.json is the important one, the attr files contains your settings. You will need to ask for a full resync on the new computer. Still, not advised to use them as backup files.

Unfortunately, after receiving new funds into my GingerWallet and it showing as pending transaction, after the transaction was confirmed and I reopened the wallet, it didn't detect the receiving funds as if nothing was received into the wallet, even after a re-sync.

Need to resolve this issue regarding synchronization.
GingerWallet connects directly to my node.
