The referee was bad. I think there were a lot of mistakes, a lot of decisions.
Mourinho never trained the team for penalties. Fenerbahçe missed 3 penalties and were eliminated.

Although Rangers beat Fenerbahce, I'm sure Athletic Bilbao is the favorite team. I think Bilbao will beat Rangers in the next round.

So when I watched how impressively MU played last night, I never seen they play like this before, it seem Amorim just keep his strategy only for Europa League tournament. I just felt if MU implement this strategy on premier league, I don't think they will be in this position right now, maybe on top 5 premier league standing.

Bruno Fernandes hattrick helped Man United qualify for the quarter-finals smoothly, previously I never expected Man United to be able to score 4 goals against Real Sociedad because in the last few matches their performance has always been inconsistent. The win means Man United are unbeaten in the UEL this season, which is in stark contrast to what they achieved in the EPL.

This you can’t say for the rest of the qualifiers like Bilbao which looks the most likely to win as I see it. Frankfurt maybe and perhaps Lazio. Don’t know what to think of the league 1 side Lyon but, these are definitely the strongest for the competition.

At this time, it is still difficult to choose who is the best among the 8 teams because the level of maturity and resilience when facing their opponents is almost equal. Bodø/Glimt, Lyon and Rangers are worth considering, they have shown something different since the start of the competition.

Yes, that's right. A very draining match. From the start, Jose Mourinho had predicted that he would play with full concentration so that he could make a comeback and sure enough in this match Fenerbahce managed to make a comeback at least they were able to catch up on the aggregate deficit to get a draw. In fact, Fenerbahce had many chances that were almost created but unfortunately many chances failed and no more goals were scored until the end of extra time.

It can be said that this was a great match. Mourinho has a lot to learn if it gets to the penalty shootout because it is clear that in this match the Fenerbahce players did not have the mentality when taking penalties. But in this match at least Mourinho always has good ideas to make his team develop, but the penalty shootout, it's a matter of luck. Congratulations to Rangers who managed to advance to the quarter-finals.

Fenerbahçe did a good job by winning the match in normal time, but they did very badly with the penalties. In fact they should have had the advantage with the mood they had, but after Tadić missed the first penalty, panic set in. It's more difficult to take penalties away. At first I thought this game was going to be a very difficult game for Manchester united but I was wrong, though in the first half real sociedad gave them a very good fight, but after the penalty goal, they didn't do enough in their attacking play that would warrant me to say that they deserve another goal.
It was in the second half that Manchester united make their superiority count by scoring a goal  shortly after the break, but the red card that real sociedad got make it even easier for Manchester united to get the third and fourth goal that seal the much needed Victory that has took them to the quarter finals of this year uefa Europa league,
So a big congratulations to them for progressing to the next stage of the competition.
Then another game that really caught my attention was the Rangers vs fernabache game, as predicted by me, fernabache won the game two zero and on aggregate 3-3, it was on penalty shoot out that rangers eventually won the contest.
Aside the fact that rangers won on penalties, this fernabache side prove yesterday that they are a team manager by a top class manager in Jose Mourinho, because it's only few coaches in the game that will still confidently convince his players that they can come back from a 1-3 lose at home, I was really impressed by fernabache last night.

United attacking is not the problem, but scoring is the problem. If Fernandez doesn't score, United do find it very difficult to score. Look at the empty post that was an opportunity for Hojiluund to double the goal, instead, he played it to the side post even when he is very close to the goal post.

United is playing better than Real Sociedad but it's whomever that scores more will win the game. United should avoid playing penalty shootout because they're not good at penalties. I want Bruno Fernandez to have a good chance of finding the back of the next the second time.

It happened just like you speculated, the team with the most goals won and Manchester United had to be the lucky team cause they were rewarded with penalties, it's suprising concerning how many penalties came out from the match between United and Sociedad about 5, it shows how aggressive both teams defender were. Anyways Bruno would be the happiest player yesterday the penalties made him score a hattrick since he's the penalty taker for Manchester United however his performance was outstanding too and he tried several to create chances for Hodjlund ti score but it seems that dude is so unlucky with finding the back of the net this season. Well, it's good Bruno is in a good form lately and hopefully he maintains it till the season ends cause it would go long way for Manchester United especially in this Europa league tournament.

Roma began this match not too bad as they have a first dangerous headshot and came nearly to an opening goal. If they are lucky enough and score that goal, the match would go very oppositely for Roma and Athletic Bilbao.

The mistake of inaccurate pass and a stupid foul from a very experienced defender like Hummels and the direct red card destroyed this match for Roma. They tried to nail the first half as 0 - 0 but again they were unlucky with a shot of Nico Williams which hit Angelino and became a goal. Before that goal, Roma let Nico Williams having space and making some other dangerous attacks, and I don't think Athletic Bilbao will not be able to score goal against Roma in this match.

It's just the first goal came at very important time for Roma, only several seconds before break time between two half and Ranieri can do something with his players. What happened in the second half is unavoidable but generally this pair is very balancing, and winner as witnessed only can be decided by some moments.
