Although Manchester and Tottenham are already “relatively” confident of qualifying, I believe that both teams know that they can't play too defensively, because just like in the Champions League, comebacks happen and they're not uncommon, as do games with lots of goals

I would consider it quite a surprise in this Europa League season, two teams who have been very poor domestically have made it to the final. If the Champions League was to be transferred to the Europa League, Manchester United and Tottenham would probably not be in the finals. Because they are in really bad shape this year, but they made it to the final because there are very few teams that can compete with them in the Europa League. In the final, one of these two teams will be the champions and England will have 6 representatives in the UCL next year. Winning the Europa League and participating in the Champions League is also a dream for the great team because they are currently just above the relegation zone in the Premier League table.

If i remember correctly, whoever wins the Europa League goes straight to the Champions League, so for a pair there's much more to it than just the Europa League cup, there's a ticket to the future.

If you follow the development of European league football, you'll definitely remember that Sevilla, who a few seasons ago could always win the UEL title, didn't look strong in La Liga. So this is also the case with Man United and Spurs. Although not impressive in the EPL, but both teams have more prestigious goals. And I think this match will be a Man United victory.

@len01 you started with a beautiful  objective analysis which I was enjoying reading but ended it in a bias way, which I understand it's your opinion about thinking that Manchester United can win Spurs just easily tobget the UEL trophy. This two teams are of no difference when it comes to comparing their performances both in their Europa and their domestic league where they are even worse of.

Perhaps some of us are looking at Manchester United based on their past records compared to Tottenham but am looking at their current form of which they are of equal strength therefore making the victory in this finals promised or favourite to none until the game is started and we start seeing outcomes.

United might have lost several times to Tottenham but this match is a special one to Amorim and his men, which I know that United players wouldn't give up easily on Tottenham. No matter how many slot for UEFA Champion League each league whoever the winner of UEFA Europe League automatically will qualify and participating at UCL, in this season Premier League team qualify to final of Europe League and they will get extra slot for Champion League after recently have 5 qualifying teams and the winner between Manchester United or Tottenham Hotspur will play at UCL although finish outside from the big fifth standings.

Last season UEFA Europe League winner Atalanta performed well at Champion League by finish at 9th standing phase league although eliminated at playoff round phase from Club Brugge. I don't think this season the Europe League winner can reach until higher round at Champion League regarding the finalist teams not performed well at domestic league.

Manchester United and Tottenham after qualifying for the last 16 of the Europa League this season there are signs that they want to focus on the Europa League rather than the EPL, especially after both teams are safe from the relegation zone both really don't care about the EPL anymore maybe because they are aware of their goals and the coaches don't want to take risks so the coaches keep the players fit and focus on the Europa League especially now that they have reached the final.

Tottenham are pressing towards the trophy we can all see their efforts but I don't think they can beat Manchester united.. remember that united are also waiting for this opportunity and they fighting really hard for it...if Manchester plays against Tottenham in the Europa I'll bet on united to win the game..I don't know if they can win other teams though  but Tottenham can't win united in the Europa

I am having the same feeling though because Tottenham Hotspur has won Manchester united about 2-3 times this season in a row and so winning them again in the finals won't be that easy if at all they will win though Barcelona did same time to Real Madrid this season and I am still shocked to see that happened. I was expecting Real Madrid to correct there mistake in yesterday game and use that opportunity to advance in the table but after scoring two first, Barcelona came from behind and win them I mean that was crazy and that was so unlike Real Madrid and I doubt if this particular one is Ancelote's fault. This isn't Liverpool and that of Tottenhams case that seasons champions league, It was obvious then that Liverpool was way super in form than Tottenham and after that they lost the champions league final against Real Madrid the previous season and we also watched them defeat Barcelona 4 -0 that season. Now this is two English team side that has this as their only trophy hope and for both teams, I can't rate one ahead of the other this particular season looking at their performances so far this season, it's a win-win chances for the two teams.
